In defense of wife despoilers like myself, we are doing a public service. By separating the wheat from the chaff so to speak.
Note that was meant as a joke, just to prevent the flood of hate mail.

My marriage can take a challenge, and I wouldn't mind some friendly flirtation
But when you ask for my phone number, and I say "Uh...nah, I don't talk on the phone much, here's my email." Take it and go. Not interested, dude! Lol.

Oh trust me I am an old hand at this particular dance and know when the woman needs to bow out. Then again it was the result of much shall we say practice...and more then the fair share of injuries shall we also say.

I am bored. And it is annoying that only role plays that seem to last are the EPICALLY SLOW ONES.

Slow and Steady wins the race as they say your Ladyship. Which is utter hogwash, turbo charged custom built cars win the race not a granny in a civic.

Granny lives longer, though
I would love to be in a fast paced, off the top of your head role play, but whenever I join/create one they seem to fizzle apart. It is likely my own fault but I don't know what to change to fix the problem.

Re: The Chatterbox Thread
Fast paced role plays tend to burn themselves out faster than slow paced ones because impatient people tend to join them. I'm simply generalizing. There are exceptions, of course, but this has just been my experience.

That is true. I've also noticed a general lack of dedication if you don't have a five page intro/rule section laid out -_-

Re: The Chatterbox Thread
Yeah. It's hard, and it sucks. There have been games that I'm like, "Holy cow! That's ingenious! I want to join!" only to realize that the creator or some other key person bowed out either before the game starts or before the second round of posting can even begin. It's depressing. It leaves me with a horrible craving that's like... the equivalent of a pregnant woman craving something horrible like pickles in ice cream, only to realize that there's no way to go get it.

Yes. That is exactly what I feel like haha.
Or, you leave it open for creativity, only for someone who is not really good at collaboration to manage to ruin the storyline in like...five lines or less.
Again, not saying I've never done any of these things myself. I know some role plays have faltered because of me. And I'm as annoyed with myself as I am others haha.

Haha. I don't believe I've ever been in a role play with you, so how could I?

Re: The Chatterbox Thread
Hisoka, I've never even played with you as far as I can remember - unless you were in that A:TLA game which I don't think you were. If you feel that you fit what we're saying, it's never too late to change. ^^_^^
Ryona, oh yeah. I know I haven't always been the best at keeping up with games. I mean, I am a self-acknowledged slow poster, and when life gets busy for me, or if the game lags in interest for me, I tend to bow out of games rather than trying to prioritize or trying to add more interest for it.
However, there are times when I am just... so ready for a fast paced game, and something always tends to happen that makes it not work. Then again, I've never successfully completed any role play in my life because they either die or I leave, soooo... yeah... ._.

They say such things are a sign of a guilty mind, my claiming of being talked about . I was more or less commenting on the archetype you two were discussing.

Re: The Chatterbox Thread
I'm such a bad, bad writer today. I got lost--LOST----like, LOOOOOST, lost lost lost--in the trackless jungle of TV Tropes and Idioms. And when I say lost, I mean like, Eight Expletive-ing Hours lost. *sigh* It was awesome. It was terrible. I got nothing done. xD
Re: The Chatterbox Thread
Yeah, I sort of know how that is. Went to a show the other week, and ended up buying a crap load of uber rare JDM parts, my visa bill is going to be epic.
By the way why in the name of Mithra do I have to select the last page of each topic manually. I am so use to that being done automatically.

Re: The Chatterbox Thread
I noticed that. Sometimes I click on the tiny little latest post icon thingy, too, though, so that sometimes works about as well.
Re: The Chatterbox Thread
I just figured out what little icon your talking about, wow I am slow on the uptake. But at least it works.

I have no such cravings. In fact, I am actually craving the ambition to get off my rump and start tidying the new house in which I live. ^^_^^

I never have the need for that kind of ambition, cleaning service ftw. I usually go for some drifting when they come.
I am so glad natives get gas cheap, status ftw also.

Re: The Chatterbox Thread
Hisoka, you make me sad. Damn pretty Natives and their status which enables them to get gas cheaper. =(
Wait... How does that even work? Do you live on a reservation or something? Last I checked, gas prices weren't something that could be haggled. I mean, I know that sexy, naturally tanned skin and beautiful raven hair can get you far, but I didn't believe it could get one that far.
Artorius, I like the two pieces separately, but together, they kind of clash. The only thing they have in common is that there's a hint of red in the signature while there's red in the avatar. The artwork isn't even remotely the same.

I have been more productive today than I had been all last week. I'm not just talking about FOG, just...in general. Hopefully this will keep up.

Re: The Chatterbox Thread
haha true! I was thinking about making my avatar and signature the exact same, but then didn't like that idea. I want to stick with my RP's theme so I'll quickly edit something on photobucket tomorrow I am a total fail at editing. I don't have the faintest idea how to use photoshop. Its quite sad really.

Re: The Chatterbox Thread
Well to make a medium length story short Kathryn Lacey the basic premise of Natives and cheap gas is the status card. I don't know how it works in the States but in Canada after being born Native during all the paperwork for all the necessary documents is done. This includes the Status Card, which identifies you as being registered under the Indian Act ( this is the only time I am going to use that demeaning and insulting term.)
At select gas stations, usually those on Reservations but you can also find them elsewhere as well, you can use the Status Card to eliminate much of the tax you would otherwise pay.
Also having Status grants me many other tax breaks as well. And those I do pay can often be deducted when I am doing my income tax. Though I will indulge in some political incorrectness and say I'd gladly trade all that way to have my peoples lands back. You know they built a bloody strip mall on top of the graves of my ancestors.
