Re: The Chatterbox Thread
I knew it was a book series before it was a tv series, but my love told me that the book could be confusing at times. Like... They call Lord Stark both Ned and Eddard, but the author doesn't explain that it's the same person. That's just one instance he told me, so I'm find with seeing the show before I read the books.
Of course, I don't have any qualms with reading more of the books than seasons of the show ahead of time now that I think I have all of the characters and basic events straight. I think each season will be based off one book. This first season is the first book, second season will be the second book, etc. etc.
I wonder what they'll do when they reach the last season that has a book? I heard the author only writes one book every five years or something to that effect.

Kalon Ordona II wrote:I'm not much of a TV person. Eats way too much time. Too many commercials, and I hate waiting for each new show. I just wait for them to come out on DVD or something. And I have Netfiix, and the library where I work, at my disposal. xD
Must see this new awesome thing with Sean Bean what's been made out of George R.R. Martin's books! HUZZAH!!
Yes, I do kind of the same thing. I record everything to my DVR and when I have enough time I'll watch a few episodes. The other show that had me hooked was Fringe.

We were in a furniture store yesterday and theoden heard LMFAO "Sexy and I know it". He proceeded to dance like mad in front of the nearest mirror. Now I have to play it over and over again at home....
I don't know what to think.
I definitely don't let him watch the video LOL

Re: The Chatterbox Thread
hahahah I saw that video the other day. It's hilarious! Misery and I both liked it, but when it was done, he was like, "I think that's the gayest video I've ever seen." XD
I totally understand why you wouldn't let Taeo see that video, but the song is hilarious in and of itself. It's this generation's "I'm Too Sexy." heheheh

Oh yea, I think its funny. It just was a surprise after watching Taeo dance like crazy and wiggle around in front of a mirror, and then see what the guy was actually talking about wiggling XD

Re: The Chatterbox Thread
Hey, Luna! Wow, I almost forgot about this thread. ^^_^^
I'm doing pretty well, and yourself? What are you up to today?
Right now, I'm drinking some coffee and starting on laundry. On the rest of today's agenda: searching for a job, writing some more to my story that I'm working on, and exercising, along with getting in some League of Legends gaming time (which I never had time to do before I was unemployed lol)

Re: The Chatterbox Thread
Ooh, I played League of Legends at a friend's house!
It's not bad! ^_^ I like how you don't have to worry about leveling people up, really. It's more a battle game than an RPG. Sort-of a pick-up-and-play feel to it. I imagine it can get pretty deep in the tactics, though.

Haha, glad I could remind you of the thread!
I'm doing alright, just really busy with a lot of different things. Today I have work and class, but I'm hoping to get some reading done.
Did you recently post a cover for the story you're writing on DA? I vaguely remember seeing it the other day. It looked good.
Re: The Chatterbox Thread
That sounds fairly exciting. Hope classes are going well for you!
Yeah, actually, I did. ^^ Thank you, hon. I'm trying to write in my free time, now that I'm unemployed again, so hopefully I can take this story somewhere.
Right now I'm waiting to go hang out with Axiom's friends.

It snowed 5 inches last night!
It never snows 5 inches where we live!
SNOWSNOWSNOWSNOWSNOW!
Travel may be difficult, but then everyone will know that. I wonder if I'll be snowed away from work. xD
Snoow snow SNOOOOOW. ^^

Re: The Chatterbox Thread
I'm so sorry, Kalon. Snow sucks. XD Then again, growing up where it always snows like that each winter can make one take the fun of it for granted.

Yeah. Snow is pretty, but it doesn't impress me. I've seen so much of it.
I'm glad you're having fun with it though.

Kalon, I do! I'm pretty sure it's still on YouTube, too!
rain, that's my problem, too. Too much of anything makes it annoying and/or bland.

I start my job today working as an appraisal assistant in an office! I'm excited and also really hoping that I like it and everyone likes me. I just want to work in a nice work environment. It'd be great if I could even make a friend too. It seemed like a smaller office of women of varying ages, so I'm hoping I fit in and can learn everything quick enough!
Re: The Chatterbox Thread
Good luck Fayt! I hope you also enjoy your new job. I am however sure that if anyone there is worthy, you will make a friend. You seem like a rather easy person to get along with.

Re: The Chatterbox Thread
Aww, thanks, Marc! ^^ I'm a pretty easygoing person, so I can get along with most anyone. I just have a problem with girls sometimes acting hostile towards me without reason (like at my last job), which is not fun.
Re: The Chatterbox Thread
Fayt, congratulations! I'm sure this job will be better than the last.
I think, in their minds, it's logical to act hostile toward someone who is both more attractive and more intelligent than them. It's like they have to bring you down to their level in order to feel better about themselves. I've only rarely had that happen to me, but I think the fact that I don't have an awesome body and I have horrendous skin issues helps them feel like I'm flawed enough to be accepted. XD

Re: The Chatterbox Thread
Potty training is a real bitch. Negative reinforcement, as easy as it is to fall into, is not working. I gave him back Rock Band. I need to try positive reinforcement, with a reward chart and lots of stickers. If that doesn't work, I will have to just concede to the fact that he isn't quite ready.

My car is finally free of the shop, and it's registered, so it's all legal to drive and such!
