Elestahr is fine with me. Or just Silv. I go by that a lot in person, actually. Whatever is easier for you to remember

Re: The Chatterbox Thread
Well, if I call you "Silv" in a thread in which Silvan Arrow is chatting, too, it could get confusing. =3

...So I headed out this evening with two other people to cover a car accident that had just happened nearby for our TV station, and I just happen to know all but one of the people involved. Thaaat was unexpected and interesting.

Shaken up but otherwise unharmed, though some other friends were called in to take one of the girls to the hospital because they thought she might have a mild concussion. I told them to let me know how things ended up but no news yet. She was walking around though so I'm anticipating that she was just scared.

Indeed she does
She must
After all she said she does
Did she
I think she did
Are we sure
Not anymore it seems
But it is right there in black and white
But illusions abound in this life

Rain, only the rest of the world is bothered by rain. Here in B.C we embrace the rain. Nothing like a good game of rugby in the rain, no siree bob there is not.

B.C and Washington State have to embrace the rain. Either that or go insane. It really is the only two choices. Or become some agoraphobic freak I guess.

Oh Seattle. How I miss you. But At least I'm close enough that I still get the Pacific Northwest rain. I don't know how I'd live without it.

Re: The Chatterbox Thread
I haven't been getting much rain; just snow. XD
So just woke up to find my left arm feeling completely dead from the elbow to the tip of my fingers. It's almost got most of the feeling back to it, but it still feels really weird. It was scary. =/ I scared my roommate too because I started thrashing around as I woke up, and she thought I was having a nightmare.

Snow, gonna miss it. I just got a new board but the quality of the snow is pretty much crap right now.
And I hear ya Squall Reyes the rain is just so much a part of what makes home home in the Pacific Northwest. That and the mountains.

I do not miss snow, but I do enjoy the rain when we get it here.
So....I cut my hair. Not sure if that is worthy of a complaint or a celebration, so I figured I would post it here. I was trying to grow it out, but certain people weren't happy with it. So I said a tearful goodbye...

You should have been born native Silvone. We natives can get away with any length of hair, Right now I am wearing it cropped short of my upper back. Two years ago it was a crew cut.

Heh, yeah I wish I had native hair. Mine is long right now but the intense curls are a bitch and most of the time look like hell.

Yep being native entitles one to long, straight, and nearly care free hair. On my worst days my hair looks better then most people's best days.
Alright I'm going off to kill some defenseless animal to remind myself of my manhood before all this hair talk kills it.

I have short, coarse, wavy hair.
Also, I squash bugs.
...
You know that annoying person who drops suddenly unannounced into a conversation?
<,<

Heheh, heh...
(FINALLY got to use that smiley! xD)

Re: The Chatterbox Thread
Kalon, I figure that if someone has a conversation in public, they're opening themselves up to have others drop into it suddenly. I actually think that's one of the big things I'll miss about Fairfield. People just don't feel comfortable enough to do that in big cities like they do in my tiny, culturally diverse town. :: sighs ::

Re: The Chatterbox Thread
I was just having a laugh at myself. xD I do agree, chatterbox threads are awesome.
And people SHOULD talk more in real life. ^^ I have people walk up and start talking to me sometimes, but usually it's the "weird" people. Though we only seem to think of them that way because most people don't. More people ought to have the bravery to walk up to someone and say "Hi."
"Hhhiiii...."
"What's your name?"
*cough* "Uh, ______"
"Nice to meet you, ______, I'm ____. What's your favorite color?"
xD
More people would meet more people they'd never otherwise meet, and who knows what new friends you'd get. ^_^

Re: The Chatterbox Thread
There's this coffee shop in town that has a really relaxed atmosphere. There have been times when a stranger from the next table over will randomly join a conversation I'm having with a friend. It's wonderful. I love it.
However, I do understand the discomfort of having some weirdo talk to you. When I was fourteen, I was waiting at a bus stop, and a smelly, drunken hobo invited me to a drug party and hugged me. It was mortifying. =(

Meh. Hair talk doesn't kill any manhood. Just look at most warrior cultures and how meticulous the men often were about their hair.
As for the talking to weird people thing, sometimes that can be rather interesting... lol

Re: The Chatterbox Thread
It's alright if you aren't being hit on...(random conversations, that is).
I can't stand talking to someone for twenty minutes just for them to hit on me...as if the ring wasn't obvious enough, or the fact that I probably mentioned my son a trillion times already. And it's always someone pushy, who doesn't care about those details, which is even worse
I'm sure it's great for single people though

I think it depends on who is hitting on said person, Ryona. I'm sure there are some times when it is just as bad for them.

Re: The Chatterbox Thread
In situations where it is truly a mix up, it's usually not so annoying. But normally, people who are interested in finding a date find out quickly I'm not available, and skip the conversation. It's understandable, really, but makes it a bit lonely for myself. Unfortunately, the only people who bother to strike up conversation with me are those who either haven't yet realized I am taken (in which case, when they figure out there is an awkward pause and quick end to the conversation) OR they already know and don't care. Those people are usually jerks and aren't really worth talking to...
I'm not explaining it very well, haha. I'm tired, and diverging from the original topic, lol.

Re: The Chatterbox Thread
Nah, I understand what you are meaning. I was just saying that I'm sure there are times when a single woman gets hit on by a guy that is so, shall we say annoying, that it is just as awkward and annoying for her as said situations are for you. I, thankfully, don't have to deal with that... lol
