Keith, but penguins and whales are so cute. ^;_;^
Gadreille, cold sucks! Don't do it! It's a mistake!
Jag, why does your arm hurt?
My muscles are deliciously sore from yesterday's workout, but that's not my complaint. My complaint is that I couldn't go to the gym today because I was just soooooo tired. I tried to wake up at 6:45am, and I just hit snooze (or rather, I though I hit snooze, but it turns out I actually just turned off my alarm). Then Jonathan's went off at 7am, and I was like, "Noooo! :: jumps out of bed all wobbly-like :: But he made the valid point that I was really tired, and that it would be a terrible idea to drink an energy drink when I was about to go work out anyway. He gave me comforting hugs, and I went back to bed until 8:10am.
Anyway, I'm still super tired, and I'm also sad about missing gym time, but maybe I'll do some stretches and a bit of body-weight workouts at home if I'm not too busy writing bad fanfiction. =D

Re: The Complaints Thread >:(
Wow, I missed a lot of riveting discussions in this thread. Okay, blanket statement: I hope everyone with aches, pains, infections, and general unhappiness feels better soon!
I complain that this week is just full of suck. My roommate and I had to make the difficult decision to put our cat Cheerio to sleep on Monday night. She threw a blood clot that blocked all blood flow to her back legs and tail, and even though we got her to a vet ER in under an hour, her feet and tail were cold and would have sustained some pretty severe damage. She wasn't even four years old. She passed in my arms, and I was just in complete and utter shock that night that it had happened so suddenly. One minute she was snuggling on the couch with me, and the next she was dragging her legs behind her and crying from the pain. We buried her yesterday, and it's still sinking in for me. I keep looking for her without thinking or expecting that she'll come barging into my room begging for food like she used to do.
Naturally, I was completely useless yesterday and emailed my boss to say that I needed to take the day off. Now I'm back in the office and behind on my work, and my bosses aren't around when I really need to download some data from their computers.
I think I might just go get my flu shot today and get all the sucky stuff out of the way this week.

Silvan, I'm sorry about your cat. I know how hard it can be to lose a beloved pet. They become a part of the family after a while. =\
I'm sorry about the rest of the trouble going on in your life, too, but it probably is a good idea to get the flu shot now and just let it be another part of an already crappy week.

My complaint is having to worry about Hurricane Sandy destroying my house, flooding it, or any other type of damage. I am supposed to leave for St. Marteen next Sunday, but if the storm causes too much damage I will be stuck home.

I sympathize, M'Lord. I was supposed to fly to Nova Scotia on Wednesday, 10/31 for my wedding on Saturday 11/03. We had to reschedule my flight to the 1st and keep our fingers crossed I can get there.

It's the wrong thread for it, but congratulations Digi and Schmuck XD
I don't like to complain about my job, but I've been unable to buy groceries for four days, and I was depending on my daycare payments today to EAT and feed the CHILDREN for the week... And two parents decide not to bring the money and ask if they can pay me tomorrow..
I had to say no. But it's annoying to be put in that situation.

Digi, well, it's a good thing the poor schmuck isn't marrying them, then. =D
Gadreille, when you told them "no," did they pay you right then? I don't understand why someone expects a stranger to take care of their kids for free when it's very clear that you're running a business service and not a volunteer service...

Inorite, Keith! I'm such an evil person.
Kathryn, I told them I needed it ASAP, as I was going to send Ysopet to the grocery store around noon. One parent sent her husband with the money, and the other is supposed to be bringing it by on her lunch period.
It's just because I lost a client so I went two weeks without the 125 we were used to having...so we were very literally out of money. Most of the time I don't mind if the payment is one day late, but I had no way to get food for the kids for tomorrow (Tuesday) if I don't get paid, since we eat before Ysopet gets home.

They had to...I would have sent the kid back out the door with them if they said they couldn't pay me. If I can handle a late payment, I will...but if I can't, I can be a pretty stubborn thing.

Re: The Complaints Thread >:(
I'm a little hungover... My head hurts a little (but not as badly as it could since my friend and designated driver kept supplying me with lots of water), I feel a bit queasy, and I've already lost the contents of my stomach... twice... Ugh... No more whiskey ever again for me, thanks. This is why getting drunk blows.. It's all fine and dandy when I'm in the midst of it, but after a couple of hours, it starts to suck, and the next day is never happy.
Also, I remember everything...
Anyway, yeah. I feel like shit, and I get to work today. I hope I start being able to hold down my food soon. I'm just going to eat toast and drink water all day, but first, I need a shower. I stink.
Also, I remember everything...
- My Night:
- I had three guys hit on me, maybe four unless I misinterpreted the fourth. Basically... One guy came up to me while my friend and her cousin were outside smoking, and his pickup line was basically like... "I see you've been chewing on ice." Strike one for weirdly watching me. "That means you're frustrated!" Strike two for obviously trying to make sure you're the one to ease my "frustration." Also, there was an automatic strike against him for being old enough to be my father... He offered to buy me a drink, but I told him the one I was drinking was my last one, and I fully intended to keep it that way.
After that, I was listening to the band performing, and I knew some of the songs, so I would sort of sing along to the lyrics though I couldn't be heard at all over the music itself, and I would sort of dance in my seat. The same dude came over, and instead of asking me if I'd like to dance, he just took charge and told me I was going to dance with him. Sometimes, taking charge can be hot, but not this instance. I didn't want anything to do with him, so I told him "no," but he continued to try to pressure me into dancing anyway. I didn't want to, so I continued to deny him despite his comments about how I was "killing" him with my rejection.
Anyway, as soon as May and her cousin Ryan came back from smoking, another guy approached us, and he had the drink that I was drinking in his hand. Fuck... right? So I told him what I'd told the other guy about the one on my coaster being the last for the night, but he graciously gave it to Ryan. You could tell he was disappointed, but I have a boyfriend, and I let him know as much. The look on his face was priceless. Poor guy.
Anyway, he asked if he could sit with us just before I let him know that I had a boyfriend, and he actually stuck around after the fact anyway. My intoxicated brain saw nothing wrong with making a new friend, and I made sure to call him "bro" for the rest of the night so he wouldn't think I wanted anything else from him.
We were in and out of the bar after that so that May and Ryan could smoke, and Alabama Guy (who I later learned was named Paul; I was sure to say, "Hey! That's my grandpa's name!" to further indicate that by comparing him to family members, he wouldn't try anything stupid.). Anyway, he's studying poli sci, and he wants to be a psychiatrist, and Ryan - who was probably drinking because he's sad about how his baby mamma has been treating him through their entire relationship - found the perfect shrink to vent his sadness because Paul was just as drunk as the two of us.
Anyway, later, after we left the bar, Ryan was like (just imagine this very slurred), "I got your back. That guy was all like, 'I wanna get with that girl.' and I was all like, 'No man, she's got a boyfriend. She won't do it.' And I ended up convincing him to go hook up with those two bitches from Colorado. I got your back. You're my best friend, and I got your back." (We spoke to a couple of women from that state.)
hahahah Ryan was hilarious.
Also, when I paid the bill for the drinks that Ryan and I had between us, as I was walking back to my table, some guy - who was kind of cute, but it could have just been beer goggles - was like, "I just want you to know that you have a beautiful smile... and a great ass." I laughed and awkwardly thanked him before rejoining my group.
Also, I had three shots of whiskey. Two bought by Paul, and one bought by May. That shit is gross. Just sayin', but because I was already drunk, I didn't seem to care that it burned.
I was also asked to dance by the oldest, drunkest man I've ever seen. hahahah
Anyway, after that, Paul left us to "go hook up with those Colorado bitches," as Ryan said, and we made another drunken friend. He was like... in his fifties or something, and his name was Eric, and he was nice. He drunkenly commended May for being the best designated driver ever because she not only provided us a safe way home, but she'd also been supplying us with water. Also, Eric commended Ryan for looking out for me when it came to Paul. hahahah
We sort of walked in the same direction until we got to May's car, and we parted ways amicably. May took us to a fast food place to use the bathroom, then she took us to a store and bought us Smart Waters and pressured me into drinking it despite how difficult functioning had become at that point. Then she brought me home.
Unfortunately, the cigarette smell/smoke from their smoking clung to my hair a lot, and even though I washed my hands after getting home, Jonathan's allergies were activated by the cigarette crap, and he had trouble sleeping last night. I feel really bad about it, and I totally deserve puking a bunch today in retribution for ruining his sleep. It has been compromised that I'll always be home by 1am, and that I will shower after hanging out with smokers before I go to bed. I'm also washing the sheets right now.
Anyway, yeah. I feel like shit, and I get to work today. I hope I start being able to hold down my food soon. I'm just going to eat toast and drink water all day, but first, I need a shower. I stink.

Considering the fact that I never have nights out, I considered that pretty entertaining, but the drunk thing isn't going to happen again for a very, very long time to come.
Also, fighting sucks. My face is too pretty to take fists.
