By an odd bit of idiocy of city engineering, my house is a block and a half from my best friend's and whenever one is without power, the other has it. So I and my dogs have moved in to her place until the power is back (sometime tomorrow.)

I stepped in dog poop. And managed to track it all over the kitchen. Ugh.

This is the third time this week that I've stepped in poop. I was at least wearing sneakers this time, (it's twice as disgusting when I'm walking around barefoot and step in poop), but I'm getting sick of finding poop in the house.

Every summer my dog suddenly decides to start using the house as a toilet. Thankfully he doesn't pee in my house! But the poop is pretty gross and I don't have a lot of patience for it. Especially when I let him outside and he comes back in, runs to a patch of carpet, and promptly poops.

Like clockwork, in another month or two, he'll start pooping outside again. In the meantime, though, I get to scour the carpets for poop. The little devil has a habit of picking the carpets that camouflage his "accidents" the best; hence the reason I find myself stepping into his messes so frequently.

Have you ever had your wireless modem, followed by your laptop, EXPLODE? I have. Okay, okay, so it wasn't actually an explosion, it was more of a fizzle followed by a pop, but if that isn't a tiny explosion, I don't know what is. Since I didn't have a spare laptop, I decided to let the internets go until I did have one, and now I'm writing this in a library.

I really don't like getting dressed to go on the internet, but, hey, public place, what can you do? Plus it's a library, so people screaming and fainting in abject horror and loathing is right out. I hear the librarians can get rather mean about things like that.

I don't like coming out from under the sink. >.>

Went to the sugarbush festival and it was 40ish degrees. My wife and I spent the whole time hanging out by the fire, trying to stay warm!
