Rate the Above Person's Setup (avatar + signature)
Interested in getting your setup rated? See what others have to think! If you're rating someone else's and don't like their setup, try and offer some constructive criticism.
You are rating both the avatar of the person above you and everything in their signature as one. In other words, do not give them each a separate rating. The rating scale is 1-10, 10 being the best.

Re: Rate the Above Person's Setup (avatar + signature)
I think the avatar could use a border. I'm not sure how I feel about the decolletage look of it, either.
To me, the images don't really seem to blend well together.
I've never been a fan of really large signature images, so that's another thing that gets me here. I think the teaser part should probably be smaller, and the whole thing could use a border.

The image is sweet, and the text goes well with it. The anime itself isn't the highest quality, but because of the grainy effect of the background, it actually works.
I'm definitely going to have to take away points for creativity because the avatar is just the signature cropped, and I've never liked when people do that.
I like how simple the entire thing is, though. It isn't cluttered or anything.

It's easier to meld things together here than it is on AWR. Over there, your thing would've looked like crap. Pulls it off here, though, and I'm worried mine is the opposite.
10/10, I can't think of any possible improvements. And I have a friend who goes by "Bad Medicine" in a lot of places. Weird.

I enjoy the facial expression on the avatar. It's very suiting to what I've gathered of your personality. I think the quality of the image is lacking, but the frame goes well with it.
If I understood German, I may appreciate your signature better, but I don't. However, it does go just fine with your simple avatar.

It's from this. If you understand German, it's effing hilarious, but if you don't it's just cool.
A lot of it is missing, sadly, because I ran out of space
Avatar is as high quality as it's gonna get, sadly, since it's literally taken right from the book. I'd have to find fanart to get anything else, and well...most of that is porn.
Don't rate me, by the way. Rate Lacey.

Re: Rate the Above Person's Setup (avatar + signature)
If I'm not mistaken, Schrodinger, is that signature from a song by Tool? Every time I read it I've got music in my head, I'm certain I've heard it before.
I took 4 years of german. I'm no expert but it's about about 'the eggs of satan' right? Ha ha... "Bake on a baking pan and bake at 200 degrees for 15 mintues. AND NO EGGS!
Kathrynn: It's sweet, both of them. I like how in love you two seem to be, it's very sweet!!! I'm going to give it a 9, and save all the techical reasons why. I love it ^_^

9.5, I really like the selective use of color with them, but I think it would have been perfect if the blue flowers greyscaled at the edges and faded to blue like your avi. Perhaps a little more color/pop to the text in the sig aswell, but not much more.

It looks rather cool, though I think it could have been edited to include your user name, considering it's rather big.
Signature: 10/10
Seems like the same person featured in your avatar- cool. The words are clear, and doesn't take the focus off the person in the signature (to me). The thread advertisement wasn't all that bad either.

Mmmm, 8! The signature gave you the most points, mostly because I appreciate religious humor. The avatar gave me a chuckle as well, though I would have liked to see something bigger and that jumped out more.

Re: Rate the Above Person's Setup (avatar + signature)
I'm giving you a 4/10. The fact that your avatar and your signature don't match is your downfall. I think the avatar is cute, but it's almost too simple. Maybe if your signature had something to do with it, it would have a better purpose, and the simplicity wouldn't be so bad.
I like the way the signature image is cut into three parts with the text in the spaces between them. Once I was able to discern what the image was, I liked that, too. I really don't like how the rectangle of the image/text is off center on the blue-grey background. I also don't like that there is so much of the background. I think it would have been beneficial if you cropped to the edges of the picture it so the background became more of a border an less of a background.

Re: Rate the Above Person's Setup (avatar + signature)
I'd have to say... 8 out of 10. I say this because the concept is nice and cute but being a photographer and a cemetry nut it doesn't add up to me the right side of the picture. I would have mirror imaged the right side so that is him being taller then you added with the oppsite image.
That and your hands arn'te centered. In fact you have me looking at my own and seeing that it's not centered... damn remake! However I love the fact that you blured the lines between the pictures out nicely so that you can hardly tell it's a new image and the background blends nicely.

I like the font and the use of negative. However, I feel like maybe your signature could be a bit wider or maybe have more going on.

Separate the images are pretty good, but I prefer a set to have some sort of connection between them.

Re: Rate the Above Person's Setup (avatar + signature)
I really love this new set-up, Loki. Both pieces are cohesive, and they almost look like they're by the same artist. The placement of the quotation in the signature is fabulous, and the text is perfect.
My one complaint- as is my usual complaint- is the lack of a border. At first, it almost didn't matter, but I really love borders, even if they're nothing more than the thinnest black line. They just make everything look more complete.

9/10 for the AWWWWWWWW factor. Loss of one point because you know how to manipulate pictures better than I do, and it makes me sad.
Also because of that disturbing image you put in my head in the chat room that night...*shudders*

Re: Rate the Above Person's Setup (avatar + signature)
I like it, but you lose points because you used a cropped version of the signature for your avatar, and I hate that more than someone not having a border. It shows a lack of creativity.
The avatar is blurry, too.
I do like the interesting way of using a border inside the image rather than around it, so I won't take away points for not having a border because you do in my eyes.
I almost took away points for the name Xavier, but then I realized he's probably the character in the image. I also just realized that it's the name of your character for FoG in Caligo. =3
Anyway, I wanted to tell you that you can't take away points for things like that. Jealousy is not a factor in rating. Also, don't be jealous of me. I only used blemish control and removed the noise. Fate made my siggy.
{EDIT}
I decided that I need to give you a 7/10 instead because I had to copy image location/paste in a new tab to see the full thing.

Re: Rate the Above Person's Setup (avatar + signature)
((Note: There was no jealousy, Kathryn, just me being a goofball. Like I'd actually take away points from you just because your signature is something that I could never do myself. Trust me, I've tried and I've failed miserably. I MEAN NO MALICE BEHIND MY WORDS UNLESS THEY ARE IN ALL CAPS. Wait...I think I did something wrong there....))

Re: Rate the Above Person's Setup (avatar + signature)
Uh.... so who should I rate at this point?
How 'bout both!
Kathryn: 8/10 - Not the romance is something unique. You see more sex and big boobs in most "romantic" siggys nowadays. This set is actually something good for once. The blemish control worked in some areas, but the right of the signature could use a better blend or transparency at his side.
Gunneh: 8/10 - Though I've seen this anime/manga (whatever its classified as) character somewhere before, it still stands out because of the color tone. With everything matching its attractive to the eye. Though the avatar is more of an echo to the signature, it provides more focus on the foreground of the signature, allowing the viewer to recognize the "Xavier" as a more serious persona - thus preventing too much of a mixture in the personality.
[EDIT]
Check my gallery for info on my sig before rating.

Re: Rate the Above Person's Setup (avatar + signature)
Gunneh- i like that sig/avatar, i'm getting rather sick of the foreground opaque image, and a transparent background image of the same person. It's waaaay to overdone. I do however like that it was neatly done, and sleek.
7.5/10-Agenda-[edit] i'm now looking through your gallery.... haha.

Re: Rate the Above Person's Setup (avatar + signature)
I love your avatar, Spectre. I don't know who he is or if he's from anything, but I love how bright it look around him, like it's sunny. It's a cool effect, and I've yet to try something like that in any of my own drawings. However, no signature. *sad face* I would give you a 9/10 for your avatar, but since we're rating everything, I'll have to give you a 7, for the lackage of signatureness. xD
Re: Rate the Above Person's Setup (avatar + signature)
I love how cohesive this is. I like the unique style of border at only the opposite corners on the avatar and on one sie for th. The white of it ties in the white from other parts of the images. I think it's cool that you found three different pictures of the same character, and they're not just cropped versions of one image for your avatar.
The fact that the girl is both in colour and backroundless adds to the feeling that both sides are related ((the Shade and the girl)). I like how the siggy just stops having a proper background for the Shade.
I can't gush enough about this, so I'll just stfu and give you a 10/10.
