OHMYGOD OHMYGOD OHMYGOD OHMYGOD OHMYGOD!
I just got a call from an engineering firm telling me they want me to come in for an interview TODAY! This is the same place I've interned in at twice so this is pretty much a formality and I'm all but guaranteed a job!

I celebrate finally getting a replacement phone, because the microphone on my old one broke and I couldn't hear any calls made/received.

Thanks, Kathryn! I thought so too! It's great especially in our area, since there really isn't a lot of job opportunities, and I'm planning on taking a semester off from school. And part of my semester off plan was saving up some money so I can move into an apartment come fall.

I celebrate that my undergraduate research is finally being published in a scientific journal! I spent two and a half years studying Northern mockingbirds in college, and the paper I wrote where I was the primary author got rejected. My mentor, however, wrote another paper using my data where I'm the secondary author, and after six months of editing and resubmitting, it's finally being published this summer! WOOHOO!!!! This is my first publication, on research done as an undergrad no less, and is really going to look great on my CV and resume when it comes time to apply for jobs after I get my Master's.

Thanks so much! It's just such a great feeling that all the sleepless nights, early mornings, and hours upon hours of work are finally paying off.

My father and I were photographers for my brother in law's wedding, and as a gift we made a wedding album for them on shutterfly. Shutterfly was impressed with our album and put our creation on their featured list! I'm really excited that an outside and obviously artistic group would think highly of our album, and essentially, the pictures we took. Makes me wish I would have just gone with photography!
Here is the album if anyone would like to look:

That album looked really great, Ryona!
Honestly, I never would have enjoyed being a photographer as anything more than a hobby. When I have to do something I love, it becomes a pain in the ass, and the fun of it is gone. At least, that's what I've learned when it comes to anything artsy and myself. =\

Re: The Celebration Thread :D
I always thought that too, and at times it was hard because I was at work while people I loved were celebrating a very important day...but I know the pictures mean a lot to the bride, and the groom, so I'm happy that I did it...and happy that I did it well. The images at the end, the beauty of it all, is so worth the work I've put in. Of course, this isn't a business, and if I were to create one that is where the headache would come in. But anyway, I've never done anything like that before, neither the shoot itself nor the album. I'm just proud that our work was recognized not only as passible, but good enough to be featured!

Re: The Celebration Thread :D
Those photographs were really fantastic, and the way they were organized into the album was amazing. I think you did a great job, and I'm glad that you guys could do something so fantastic for your family-through-marriage, something of which you're proud. It definitely deserved the recognition it received.

I celebrate writing. After staring at my computer screen for 1.5 hours, I finally hammered out a solid beginning. I think. Maybe I will delete it again in a week.
I also celebrate so thoroughly enjoying the world I have created. I just wish that I could put on paper what I see in my head. Wish me luck in persevering this round.

I celebrate finally getting a chance to talk to the friend I've been mentioning in the complaints thread. We had a sit-down meeting with a handful of mediators and most of the people involved and talked out a lot of the miscommunications that made our relationship get so strained. I know for a fact there are still things that haven't been discussed (mostly because I'm still confused about a few things) but they are apparently unrelated to anything we discussed in our three hour session. If they come up they come up, but we'll see how tomorrow goes. Frankly, I just want to make sure we can be civil and professional with each other. We can work up from there.

I echo your sentiments so much it's creepy.
I celebrate making progress on my world/novel! I'm doing the Snowflake Method. It's just the sort of system that's suited to the way I think. xD

I just got a new Twin and a new Great-Grandlittle in my sorority!
And another celebration in itself: there are nine people in my sorority's new pledge class, bringing our member count up to 24!
