A question, is the information I added and the map I posted going to be added to the information Thread soon?

Re: Emoria: World-Building OOC
Honestly, it may take a couple of days. We are sharing a computer and I have to do a research assignment as well as an online exam today. I can pop on for small things, but adding all of this information takes time that we just don't have right now.

I believe the Warrior-Bards of Fermata would come to this as well, to provide news from the south as well as to sing, trade, and entertain.

Gunneh, it's actually Taurë Arda. I commend you on including the accent marks above the "e," but a good way to remember "Taurë" is that it literally means "forest," and forests contain trees. Trees contain both a "t" and an "r." I don't know if that will really help, but I figured it could be a good way to remember, right?
Ryona, that sounds good to me. Because your world-space is on the other side of Taurë Arda, it may be simplest to have the Sorceresses travel by main road to Nolwë Osto to meet the Quendi guides of Forya that will take them to the Harvest Festival in Aom of the Stretin Providences.
I think that's actually what would happen with others who have to move through Taurë Arda to get there. Of course, if they were late and missed their guides, they'd have to take the long way which would mean taking one of the four main roads. They cross Taurë Arda like an X, soooo yeah.
Elric, that would be plausible.
It's also fine if it's just individuals and not large groups from any given nation that want to go to the festival, for individuals tend to have different preferences and ideas. It would be pretty cool.

Re: Emoria: World-Building OOC
A question does anyone else have a nation that could be enlisted to evil?
Like a truly mercenary nation?
Or even have a small group who would side with evil?

Bhuta Huile!
Username: IRLGoat
Character Name: Bhuta 'Bhu' Huile
Species/Race: Human
Physical Description: Bhuta has an otherworldly air around her, as if she is barely of the Material Plane. Her body is long and delicate; standing at 5'2" and weighting in at approximately 115lbs, she seems almost faerie-like. Her torso is long and her breasts average. Her complexion is tanned from her enjoyment of the sun. Bhu's natural red hair is often pulled to the right in a side-ponytail, tumbling to her elbow. Her features are small and pixie-like; dark eyebrows, round light mauve eyes, a pronounced, yet feminine nose and thin, curled lips. She has several well-placed beauty marks along the left side of her face and under her left eye. Faint markings of what look like scarification cover Bhu's arms, neck, chest and back. Weaving patterns that show her connection to the Spirit Plane.
The fiery girl favors noisy jewelry; bangles, copious sets of earrings, anklets and necklaces. She wears a leather tight-fit strapless corset-of-sorts with ornate designs in gold and silver. She hides her tight leather pants under folds of countless scarves tied or strapped around her waist. Hiding amongst them are pouches and perhaps a dagger or two. Although she prefers not to wear shoes, Bhu carries a pair of plain leather shoes for more rough terrain. A deep cream cloak with chocolate brown designs flows down over her shoulders and down a tad passed her knees. The clasp is gold with a shining pearl accent.
Character Bio: Planeswalkers are chosen at birth, and Bhuta just happened to fit the shoe perfectly. Permitted to stay with her family during her training, Bhuta lived a generally very simple life composed of dance, song and food. Her mother, Sahkai, was a dancer and her father, Juina, a bard. Bhuta was surrounded by music from the time she was born. Using the music and movement as a medium, the girl became more and more able to access the Spirit Plane, be it for guidance, healing or aid.
Bhuta has been a part of many rituals concerning the Spirit and other planes. She is fascinated with the Spirits and their healing abilities. She seeks to delve deeper into the plane to gain further knowledge of the World.

I just want to make sure that it's understood that shamans and those who may communicate with spirits can't actually enter the spirit plane unless they travel via the rift in Aendrel or the Portals located within each plane. I described it in the description of the Spirit Plane.
I'm sure you've read it, but I just wanted to be clear for any others who want to have characters able to communicate with spirits.

Re: Emoria: World-Building OOC
Gunneh, since you haven't opposed the idea, I just wanted to remind you that Äm primarily worships whatever Dax's Vatienniens worship.
The proximity to the Rift would have expanded their religion, too. And it's looking like the Thendári are starting to believe the same way. Vatienniens seem to be worshipping what they believe to be the being that created all things.
If Äm worships other things besides, they would be minor--as it stands now--and the major deity would be Sanctus Unus, or whatever it's called in Vatienne. Maybe they have a different name?
Also, I'm still not sure how Alos would react to people actually worshipping him as a god.
Edit:
If Morgarath is able to move between all the planes (can he? I forget...), would he be able to recruit the powerful Earth guys and maybe some Fire Lords to his cause? That might be cool. xD

He could use the portal he has beneath his citadel. I am pretty sure of that. I don't think he can go to the planes besides shadow and material without some sort of aid though. OR at least even for him it would be very difficult.
On another note Kalon, we need to figure out what interactions our nations have had in the past?

She would have to be extremely powerful to travel to the Spirit Plane directly without the specific Portal and is unlikely.

Morgarath can only travel to the Plane of Shadow and to the Material Plane without a portal from my understanding.

I believe I already adressed this, and as he is my character I feel that my intrepretation of my characters powers is more valid. However I agree that barring him using his portal beneath the darktower he can't travel to planes besides material and shadow.
Though he might be able to through effort do voice projection or some other method of communication.

Hermes, we've already established that characters who are able to travel between Planes without the use of a portal find that that power corrupts them. Yes, the character could be powerful enough to travel that way, but she wouldn't be a good guy.

- History of Taurë Arda
Concerning the Great Library of Nolwë
Long ago, in a time out of mind, Taurë Arda originally contained five forest kingdoms of Quendi. There was one at the center and four on all sides of that one. Due to some differences of interest, a group of Quendi broke away from the five to find their own way. They would later become the Thendári of Aendrel.
Those who remained all lived peacefully together for a long time until the Quendi realm in the center known as Enya discovered the portal of the Material Plane.
Some bad figures from the Plane of Fire had entered the Material Plane through that portal, and they wrought havoc on those of Enya, destroying that culture. Fearing that those creatures, who were dubbed Rakaurúri, would destroy Taurë Arda, the Quendi gathered forces and battled against the Rakaurúri until they were destroyed or fled to their own Plane of existence. From that point forward, the Quendi knew that the portal needed to be watched and protected against both intruders and against those who would wish to use the portals for ill means.
Their idea was to create Nolwë Osto and to build the Great Library of Nolwë atop the portal. Earth magic was used to cause the land beneath the portal to drop far into the earth. They then created a labyrinth of caverns and stairs that led to it before building a smaller Library atop it. It was then that they began their quest to gather knowledge from all over the world to keep up their pretense.
Others became interested in the ideals of the city/state of Nolwë Osto, so they all helped to contribute knowledge and works. A new and larger building was created to house the vast amounts of knowledge. A few powerful but trusted sorcerers were also told of the Portal, and the Quendi and the sorcerers and sorceresses of several other races worked together to place magical spells and blessings upon the sight to protect it from evil and from harm. The portal became protected by a small but elite and secret force of guards both magical and non-magical.
This Library not only serves to protect the portal but to memorialize the territory of Enya that was lost in battle against the Rakaurúri. They had been the seekers of knowledge of all kinds for a very long time, and their findings had all perished in the fires.
Concerning the Mountains of Night
After the creation of the Great Library of Nolwë, a dark force moved across the land from the Mountains of Night and attempted destroy the Quendi on two separate occasions. The Quendi managed to drive the shadow from their home.
News traveled to them later than the Mountains of Night had also battled against an peninsula nation of humans called Vatienne. Though they were relieved that the shadow no longer threatened them, the fact that it threatened the rest of the world bothered them. However, they were not the sort to interfere where it wasn’t their business, so they did nothing. After all, Vatienne could decide to become hostile toward Taurë Arda if they offered their help. Wars were not appealing to the Quendi.
After another war between the Mountains of Night and Vatienne, the humans of Vatienne sent a message to the Quendi. The message was simply an offer to aid them if they wanted in trying to destroy the Mountains of Night once and for all.
After much deliberation, the Quendi agreed. With Vatienne’s loss against the Mountains of Night the second time, it seemed that the shadow was growing stronger. Those of Taurë Arda wanted to stop such darkness from spreading.
While it wasn’t a complete success, the final war proved to take the Mountains of Night out of commission for a long time to come, and Taurë Arda maintained an alliance with Vatienne.
Concerning the Sretin Providences
After this final war, the Quendi decided to live among one another in peace. The four territories did not fight one another though there were often squabbles between tribes in Hyarya.
All Quendi maintained a good relationship with the earth and with the trees. It was through this relationship with the trees that they learned of a nation to the east that housed humans who could also commune with nature. They could speak with trees just as the Quendi were able, but they took it further and spoke to the very earth itself.
Having a great curiosity, the Quendi decided they would like to meet these people and possibly form an alliance.
The result was a success, and peace pacts were formed. The Sretin Providences also decided to host a festival every four years in their eastern providence of Aom to share in the harvest and the love of the earth. Over time, other nations were invited to attend until it became a global event.
Modern Day
Currently, the remaining four territories are still in existence, and they are still peaceful. The four main roads that lead to the city/state of Nolwë Osto serve as the main boundaries between them.

Character Name
Sailahína Carnil
The í in “hína” ((i with an accent mark)) is formed by holding Alt and typing 0237.
Nickname
Saila
Species/Race
Half-Quendë; Half Human
Elves are known as the Quendi ((or the singular Quendë)).
Physical Description - Subject to Change Upon Portrait Completion
Sailahina Carnil stands at an average height of five feet and five inches despite her Quendi heritage. Her softly waving hair is platinum blond and extends to the base of her back. She often keeps it free-flowing, but will occasionally braid it if she feels it needs to be kept from her face. Leaf-shaped ears are her most prominent Quendi feature.
Her eyes are an average blue in colour and topped with dark blond brows with a decent, pointed arch. High cheek bones accentuate a slightly heart-shaped face with a very slightly upturned nose that extends down the center of her face. Beneath this is a pair of lips of average fullness.
Overall, she looks remarkably like her Quendi father in both her fair colouring and in the bone structure of her face. However, she has the physical build and the lips of her Sretin mother. While she is thin and fit, she hosts an almost pear-shaped figure with an average bust and a slightly larger bottom half.
A tiny but dark freckle dots just above the left side of her upper lip beside the point, and a small, hardly-raised mole graces her face almost beneath her left cheekbone. At the base of Saila’s throat on the right is another mole. A horizontal scar cuts across the back of her left hand, and a vertical scar slashes along her outer right thigh, both caused by training accidents with fighting fans.
Saila’s favorite colours to wear are blue and silver, for they compliment her colouring very nicely. She is rarely seen without a book or a scroll in hand, and she never leaves home without her fighting fine strapped at her hip as a precaution. She also keeps a dagger stashed in her boot.
Though she is forty-three years of age, the average lifespan of her general breed ((half Quendë, half human)) is one thousand years ((as opposed to the average twenty five hundred years for a full Quendë)), so she only appears to be in her mid twenties.

Biography
Sailahína Carnil was born from the Quendë Envinyatar Carnil of Forya in Taurë Arda and the human Ailith of Aom in the Sretin Providences. The unlikely pair met at one Yávië Meren ((Harvest Festival)) that is held in the Sretin Providences to celebrate bountiful harvests and the wonders of nature.
Envinyatar noticed Ailith of Aom before she ever saw him, and he was immediately interested. Her skin was not as dark as those who are usually from that area though she had the usual characteristics of dark hair and dark eyes. Her stature was also much shorter than his own. He found her humanly beauty to be quite enthralling but not nearly so much as her voice. It may not have had the same melodic flow as the voices of his own people, but it had its own appeal just as she did.
He sought her company, but was initially denied. Ailith was shy of his elven beauty, and was not sure how someone like him could be interested in herself, so she avoided him. Envinyatar was persistent, and he eventually won her to his side. By the end of the Festival, the Quendë man stayed behind to see more of Ailith.
It soon became apparent that she was not quite like her people. She didn’t enjoy the harsh, open air of Aom, and she wandered to the forest edge as often as she could. After a year had passed, Envinyatar and Ailith were wed before their families, and he took her to live with him in Forya.
Sadly, Ailith was even less happy among the closeness of the trees. As a compromise, they moved to the city/state of Nolwë Osto where there would be both open air and plenty of trees. Two years after their marriage, Ailith gave birth to a girl-child who they named Sailahína ((wise child)) in honor of the City of Knowledge in which they lived.
They lived happily for a long while, but time passes more slowly for Quendi than for humans, and Ailith began to age more rapidly than her husband. Though she had been eighteen when Saila had been born, by the time the young girl reached Quendi adult-hood, her mother was already past her prime.
Envinyatar, with his healing magicks, helped to keep Ailith from aging too rapidly, and the human woman took very good care of her health.
Due to the difficulties of watching her mother age in such a way, Saila moved into her own home when she turned thirty ((the age of adult-hood for Quendi)). It was widely known that half-Quendi only live about half as long as full-Quendi, but that it still far longer than a human life span, and it is difficult to watch a parent grow near death with every passing year.
At the point in which she had moved, Sailahína was already an archivist and a scribe for the Great Library of Nolwë, and she had learned several languages of the world. She has lived up to her name in every way she can.
Of course, she would often immerse herself so heavily in her work that she would abandon her social life and her family for long periods of time.
Only when her employers would urge her to go home to her family would she leave her beloved work - for she truly does love it - to see her aging mother and her still-young father. Knowing that it makes them happy to see her makes her remember that it’s important to see them more, but that doesn’t stop her from working all she can.
One day, about one week ago, Saila discovered a secret panel in one of the library book cases in a small section that contained information on the Planes of Existence. It contained yellowed scrolls that described the portals and the Material Plane’s portal’s location beneath the library. However, it did not detail how to access the way to the Portal, so she has not been able to discern whether this scroll was written factually. Despite this, she has found that she truly believes it to be truth, and she has been trying to discover a way to prove it without others knowing.

Taurë Arda
The land of Taurë Arda where the Quendi live is generally hilly with forests in every direction a few miles outside of the city. The exception is the North where the elevation slowly gains as it progresses into the mountain range of Senda Oroni at the edge of the country. In the forests, other clans of Quendi choose to live peacefully with one another. The western territory is Hyarya, the eastern is Forya, the Northern is Inga, and the Southern is Undu. The forests are divided by four roads that come from the Northeast, Northwest, Southeast, and the Southwest portions of the country. All of those roads lead directly to the city/state of Nolwë Osto for those who wish to travel there. This is both for the benefit of the Quendi who are not particularly fond of outsiders in their territories and for the safety of foreign travelers.

Nolwë Osto - The Central City/State
In almost the exact center of Taurë Arda, there is a large city called Nolwë Osto that revolves around the pursuit of knowledge. Standing in the center of that city is the Great Library of Nolwë which has gathered works and information from all over Emoria to be displayed in one massive building. This city/state began as a project of the Quendi from all over the country, and as it grew and more knowledge was obtained, other races and species from all over the world also became interested in the project, so they all helped to contribute.
Eventually, a large, elaborate, and elegant building was constructed at the center of the city to house information from all over the world and even some information regarding the other seven Planes of existence. Of course, many from the current Material Plane feel that the other Planes do not truly exist as few have traveled between them.
The location of the ancient library was strategically placed, for The Portal of the Material Plane is located in a secret chamber ten stories beneath the library, far into the earth. There is a secret entrance within the library to a stair that leads underground, but finding the chamber that houses the Portal is difficult. The way is a bit of a maze, and there are many secret ways that must be taken to reach it. Only those who rule the city, those who own the library, and those who guard the Portal are aware of its existence. Not even those who work in the library or live within the city/state know of it.
The geography of Nolwë Osto is rather lovely. A river that runs all the way from the Oroni Sendë mountain range at the very North of Taurë Arda cuts through the Northeastern side of the city. This Northern river is called Sirë Poica for the cleanness of its waters.
Another one that begins horizontally, moving from west to east, flows at the Southern end just outside the city but eventually curves to travel South. This river is called Sirë Úra for its very large width and depth. Sirë Poica eventually joins Sirë Úra to become one river. There are other small streams and creeks that travel through the rest of the country.
A lake is located at the west of the city/state that provides much of the water for crops in that direction.
Outside of the city/state on all sides are small fields where vegetables and Orë ((a special Quendi grain that is similar to wheat)) are cultivated, but they are nowhere near as expansive as the country to the east ((the Sretin Providences)) from where the Quendi import other nutritional goods.

Religion/Deities
Nolwë Osto hosts a vast cultural diversity due to people from all over the world choosing to live here, so citizens often worship the deities of their own cultures. These other cultures and other deities are all respected, so no one has need to feel that they must assimilate to another culture or religion.
However, the official deities of the city and of the Great Library are Gods and Goddesses of Knowledge - namely, the Goddess Nólehirë and the God Istahirno.
Throughout the rest of the country, the Quendi themselves tend to revere the God Vemenel and the Goddess Olvandilë who are believed to have created the trees and all things. Trees are revered by the Quendi as lesser deities and are believed to be semi-sentient beings who house great wisdom.
Governing Body
The citizens elect a council of ten to rule the city/state of Nolwë Osto.
All of the other four territories of the Quendi country of Taurë Arda are governed by their own monarchs, lords and ladies, or councils. It just depends to which of the four forests one travels.

{EDIT #2}
Hermes, we've already established that characters who are able to travel between Planes without the use of a portal find that that power corrupts them. Yes, the character could be powerful enough to travel that way, but she wouldn't be a good guy.

Ha. Sorry Kathryn: I actually just copypasta'd from Kalon's sheet because it's EXTRMELY hard (and by EXTREMELY hard, I mean impossible as far as I know) for me to make the accent marks, so that means that I have to copy and paste anything with accent marks lol

Well, if you have a number pad ((they're the box of numbers to the right of the keyboard)) then you need to use that to type the accent marks. Raptor and I recently discovered that you can't use the numbers above the letters to type the accent marks.
Another way is to go into a word file, select Insert from the menu bar, and click Special Character. It'll let you select letters with accents over them that way.

THAT's why I can't do it! I have no number pad! This whole time I thought I was just completely inept.
Just want to say that I'm sorry we haven't been updating. I know you are all anxious to see your info in lights on the information page. If I could just finish this damn paper then I would get started!
It's one of those things where the professor requires a progress report, but I'm one who prefers to just do the whole paper in one sitting. So basically, I have to do all the research but condense it to three pages instead of 15-18. DAMN!

Character Name: Morgarath
Species/Race: Quasi Immortal being
Physical Description: Morgarath is shorter than most humans and his physical stature is not particularly impressive. However his presence often makes peoples skin crawl. His face is always shadowed even in the brightest sunlight and his eyes glow a bright yellow that make them obviously his. His hands are covered by gloves of black or silver silk and he carries the book of hours with him.
Age: Morgarath himself dates back to the first years after the origin wars. He is the oldest thing currently residing in the Material plane.
Gender: Male
Occupation: Lord of the Mountains of Night/ Dark Lord/ Prince of Darkness/ Destroyer of Hope, and many more. He has a lot of titles and names.
Skills: Old dark magic. He can also perform healing magics and similar but he will not perform those that summon light. He also is capable of teleporting himself from shadow to shadow, essentially meaning he can teleport himself to anywhere within his kingdom or anywhere else there are lots of shadows. Morgarath also possesses the power to travel from the plane of Shadows to the Material plane without a portal. This process can cause rifts in the fabric of the universe.
World-space: Morgarath rules over the Mountains of Night. A dark land eternally shrouded in shadows where the sunlight never breaks through and the perpetual light is much like twilight. The Land is covered in massive mountains that stretch nearly a mile up into the sky and the clouds of shadows swarm eternal around them. It is believed that the gate to the fabled plane of shadows lies in the center of the mountains. Some have also speculated that the Mountains really are the plane of shadows overlapping the world. The cities here are grand with spiraling architecture and spires that stretch towards the sky in many places.
The Capital city is more a fortress than a city and is normally referred to simply as the Darktower. It lies in the very center of the Mountains atop the tallest of them all. The Darktower seems to sprout from the mountain itself and is a black color that is unlike any other on Emoria. It seems that darkness pulses out from it as if the tower were alive.
To the north and the south of the Mountains the massive North and South walls have been raised in more recent years. They only came into being after the last Illuria War III when Morgarath realized the risks of under defended borders. He raised them from the earth the same way he called forth the Darktower. To the South of the South wall itself lie the Razors a nearly impassable mountain range. These mountains due to their nature serve as a primary barrier to invasion from the south.
Allies: Still not quite certain, am hoping for a few mercenary nations.
Enemies: Vatienne, Taurë Arda, Aendrel
Religion/Deity(s): He is worshiped as a god by his people
Governing Body: He is the Governing body for the most part.
A brief history of Morgarath and the Mountains of Night. For the Sake of the RP not all is revealed here.

A brief history of Morgarath and the Mountains of Night. For the Sake of the RP not all is revealed here.
- Spoiler:
- Morgarath came into being soon after the 'origin war'
The shadows created him because they couldn't interact with the world anymore and with his power he could pass though without the portal. In creating him they drained most of their strength. He appeared in what would later become the mountains of night. He enslaved the humans and the other race who dwelt there and with his power currupted them. Turning them into the first of the races of the mountains.
He with his power tore the Dark Tower from the earth itself and erected it upon the tallest of the mountains. From there his power began to corrupt the mountains and all else that dwelt within them and they became known as the Mountains of Night. Over the years Morgarath bred his creations and in time he created an army of the currupted. Both highers and lowers. His army marched from the Mountains of Night for the first time and in a battle with the elves it was defeated.
Years later another army marched forth and again was defeated in a brief war with the elves. Morgarath decided to leave the elves alone for a time and he stayed within his mountains creating new horrors and experimenting with forbidden magics.
Much later, the wars of Illuria occured.
In the wars of Illuria. The first war was a war of great naval battles. The second war saw the first march of the Currupted since the time of the Race Wars. Morgarath's army fought it's way to the gates of vatienne itself before they were thrown back.
The third war of Illuria saw an alliance between vatienne and the quendi push all the way to the Dark Tower itself. It was then that Morgarath himself descended from his tower and in a great battle destroyed the Papus of Vatienne and with his power managed to push back the armies. Despite the Mountains of night surviving the war they were weakened greatly and the last 2000 years have passed without more than little incidents from morgarath. At least until now.
Now with rifts of darkness beginning to form and the signs of the Mountains of night stirring once more things seem to have taken a turn for the worse.
Races of Darkness
- Spoiler:
- Sythen- The Race of serpent people. They are a rare and reclusive race. They have great difficulty breeding and they seem to in some ways not be put together quite right. They are humanoid in appearance with humanoid hands and feet. They are covered in scales and cold blooded and so rather slow moving in cold environments. Their faces are flat and covered in a layer of fine scales as well. The color of their scales ranges from dull grey to on rare occasions midnight black, or white. Nothing much is known about their society as only a few have been seen at any one time. It is known that those that have been seen were rather potent sorcerers and practitioners of magic.
[That is what everyone knows about them. Below is what no one besides morgarath and a few of his captains know]
The Sythen were created by Morgarath. He created them with his power and they are the only race of creatures that he himself created rather than simply corrupting. Since they are a race created by long ago magic they do not always function properly and while a sythen could live for nearly 1,000 years most die sooner when their bodies begin to fail. The only sythen known to have survived longer than that is the original one. Asmodeaus who was the first one to be created.
Highers- The Highers are a specific race who dwelt only in the mountains of night. They dwelt there in the beginning in caves beneath the mountains. When Morgarath arrived he made use of them and changed them. What light they once possessed has been purged from them. The Highers look similar to elves but lack eyes of any kind. Thier skin is pale and yet somehow seems to posses an aura of darkness. They are uniformly beautiful to look upon but there is something that doesn't seem quite right about them.
Lowers- The Lowers are incredibly varied but they range from goblin like creatures to things that were once men or the descendants of men. As a whole the Lowers are not as intelligent as a man but they are savage and full of twisted instincts. That they are called Lowers is related to their intelligence not their size or strength.

Re: Emoria: World-Building OOC
Maybe some pirates can ally with Morgarath?
I should have info on the Thendári as a race pretty soon. Probably sometime tomorrow. Basically elves, but with slightly different appearance and different customs.
As for special characters, another way is to go Start Menu > Accessories > System Tools > Character Map, and pick whichever one you need. It lets you copy and paste. (The directions might not be completely accurate for Windows XP. I'm not 100% certain.)
Also, Kathryn, the name of my island continent isn't Irridánë; that would mean chasing or pursuing the sun. ^^ The name is Sunfall, which is translated Irrihyánë.
The confusion probably came from the name of my character, Chälan Irrdánë.
So yeah, Irrihyánë, with a 'hy' instead of a 'd.'

Ryona, hahahah! I'm glad that I could enlighten you. I just never use the numbers above the letters for anything, so I never thought to check until we were trying to figure out why Raptor couldn't do it. I'm seriously thinking about investing in a number pad for my laptop because of things like this.
Don't worry about not getting it done instantly. Your real life takes priority over things like this.
Kalon, that's fine. Gunneh said he copy/pasted "Taulë" straight from your sheet, so you may want to go correct that with "Taurë." I'd say we're about even then, yes? ^o_~^
I corrected my sheet with the proper spelling. The character's name probably is the reason behind the confusion.

Yeah, I think I corrected that, but I'd better go check. I do remember getting that wrong. xD
Re: Emoria: World-Building OOC
Ahh, soo much new information. It makes for entirely a riveting read!
The only thing I would like to mention is to Raptorman, and it is a very small detail indeed. In fact, its something I find might make the moment in question much more awe-inspiring.
Instead of Morgarath just coming down from his tower simply kills alot of people, I was thinking something more...suitable to someone like Morggy.
From the top of his tower (or lower if the top is indeed too high... but then again, the battle around the Dark Tower would be soo huge in scale that it might not matter) or his dark perch, he would somehow magnify his voice thousand-fold and call-out the Papus into a one on one duel.
It would be like polar opposites fighting each other. Imagine the middle of the battle-field, with one side Morgaraths evil beasts and on the other would be Vatiennien soldiers. And in the middle, the Dark Lord going mano to mano with the most powerful priests of the Sanctus Unus and of Vatienne.
(I find it would be kind of funny at the same time because the papus is always someone of some.. respectable age and Morgarath, as hes describe, looks like hes young and short. I dont know, I jut thought it was kind of... ironic)
I dont know about all of you, but I am thinking that would be epic.
Yes? No?
I just thought it would add drama to the last real battle of the Illurian Wars. The end would obviously end in defeat for the papus and be the definitive rout for Vatienne, kicking them out of the Mountains of Night.

Re: Emoria: World-Building OOC
Personal life update: Turns out I have way more homework than I thought. Tomorrow I have to watch two 1.5 hour long video lectures and one 2.5 hour long class lecture, in which I have to verbally summarize the progress report I wrote today (on issues with ancient DNA) as well as an article on the use of gas chromatography-mass spectometry on a Byzantine wall painting from the Protaton Church. In between these lectures I have to hunt down outlines from various administrators on campus so that I may have my graduation check application completed. On thursday I have to write another progress report on my study of osteomalacia in women past and present. On friday I have to watch my third video lecture, and study for the exam on the three video lectures (I have an exam every week). After all of that, I should have time to update this stuff. So expect it up sometime this weekend. But keep in mind, I need to sleep

Just thought I'd throw this one out there:Raptorman wrote:A question does anyone else have a nation that could be enlisted to evil?
Like a truly mercenary nation?
Or even have a small group who would side with evil?
Idona (home of the Ayre people) is basically nothing but mercenaries. Details are in my character sheet. Fighting-for-hire is the way of life for them, pretty much regardless of who is hiring.

Yep, the offer is open to anyone who wants to have them in their history or current military endeavours, as long as it is reasonable. Just bear in mind that Ayren warlords trade their services for payment in the form of coin or resources they need to sustain their troops. If you wanted to have a group of them in a more permanent role, you could use your dark powers to indoctrinate them, or just have very substantial payment if you were feeling merciful. Generally warlords stay out of each others business so you can have them doing whatever kind of work you want.
My vision of a hired Ayren group would be a group of about a hundred or so; their small numbers are far outweighed by their incredible combat prowess.
Edit:
I am going to work more on the cultural history for Idona soon, I have been working a bit with Caleb about this, the main course of their history is tied in with the Drenata, although I wouldn't mind seeing someone else including Ayren mercenaries somewhere in their military history. Please, go wild! I get inspiration from reading your creative genius FOG!

He could pay them. He could also corrupt them once they got to the Mountains of Night. But what he would most likely do is use your guys as a distraction of sorts. Hire out a very large group and give them orders simply to burn and pillage the other lands besides his and theirs on the northern continent.

Fair enough, just know that Ayrens work best in somewhat smaller groups. A massive army would be difficult to manage, and Ayren warriors work best under the command of Ayren warlords, captains, platoon sergeants, etc.
