Re: World Builder Project: Name the World
I really like all the names other people have come up with. They are all rather nice. I vote Paras Partum, though I know that's a bit biased. That's why I made two names. I like Emoria and Auloria too.

It was between Emoria and Auloria for me, but I went with Emoria.

I put in my vote I don't know why, but I just love Generia lol.

I know I'm not involved in any of this but... Paras Partum sounds the best to me. Personally there are just far too many fantasy worlds, cities, terms, countries, characters and so forth with 'ia' endings to them.

Re: World Builder Project: Name the World
Argh, I was also struggling with Generia and Emoria... but I finally went for Emoria.
I just felt that something with a very light name to the world would be best fitting.
....and to the more personal fact that because of my massive headache, just pronouncing Generia hurts my head lol.

I was really between generia and auloria, and then I realized that generia is one letter away from "generic". My vote goes to auloria.

So far it seems that half of the group has voted. Hopefully everyone else votes soon.
Generia made me think of "General". Lol

Re: World Builder Project: Name the World
I voted Generia.
I'm thinking it's pronounced with a 'zh' for the G.
feels like Generation, Generate, Generated, General, Generic... etc, which is cool because it's a collaboration.

I also voted for Generia
Though I thought to pronounce it 'Gene'-'ria'

Oh dear, we have a tie! I believe we have six seven people who have yet to vote. I wonder if there will be a tie breaker...?

Oh crap! I completely forgot to check here! Someone should link to this in the main thread. ^;_;^
This is a really difficult choice to make...
I'm with Kalon in that I thought of Generia as having the "zh" sound, but the spelling of it makes me think of "generic," and that's not the kind of feel I'd want to have for our role play.
In the end, I voted for Emoria because it's pretty, it gives off a fantasy feel, and it's light and easy to read and to pronounce.

Sorry Elric, either I didn't get the PM or I missed it in the OOC.
If anyone wishes to change their vote to Varimastra they may.

Re: World Builder Project: Name the World
Well, actually, if Emoria gets one more vote then it\'d win automatically. ^^ \'Cause if Emoria has 7, and there\'s only 3 votes left after that, then the highest an opposing name could be is 6, so the 7 would win. Could be useful to keep in mind if some people forget to vote.
Edit:
Assuming, of course, that none of the Emorias change their votes to Varimastra.

Re: World Builder Project: Name the World
Yes but I cannot project that any of the last four will vote for Emoria. If all 4 voted for either Paras Partum or Generia, then those would win. Therefore these votes are significant!
And Kalon, I've already realized that, and was planning on closing the poll if Emoria got one more vote. I have taken Stats

Re: World Builder Project: Name the World
Yes, but if even 1 of those 4 is Emoria, then it would be plausible to take that as a win, since there would be no way for any other entry to get more.
I wasn't saying assume it now. Just, if it happens, it might help speed things along if we already know the winner before each and every vote is cast.
If 51% of the people vote for the same thing before the rest vote, then no matter what the others vote, the majority would win, see? I wasn't saying the other votes were insignificant; just pointing something out.
