Re: The Chatterbox Thread
So -- random thing -- I think I was a hardcore stoner in a past life.
I mean, I'm soooo easygoing and unconcerned about things all the time, even while others meanwhile are getting worked up and upset or angry. I just am the person sitting back, waving my hand dismissively, saying "Whatever! Let's all hold hands... I'm so happy!"
Nah, seriously though, I've never tried any drugs in my life, hehe. Both my brother and I are just really relaxed people. Of course, my brother is the jokester and is always making light of everything and getting everyone around him to laugh, so it works out even better for him.

Re: The Chatterbox Thread
Not all stoners are laid back and carefree. Some just love their drama... Too many do, actually... Really, it's the burnouts who seem to have the least worries, but that's probably because they've fried their brains and can't really comprehend things as well as they were once capable...

Re: The Chatterbox Thread
I'm like that, too, Fate.
Of course that's just half of me. I can go from really silly to really serious in a blink.

Re: The Chatterbox Thread
I feel much the same way. Of course... my brain is a little fried... but I'm a bit anal retentive, so it's probably a good thing I used to be a pot-head, so I could loosen up a bit. =3

Re: The Chatterbox Thread
I think easygoingness is a rather admirable quality... but in a way, I'm kinda the opposite. I rarely get angry or argue myself, but when others do I tend to try and play the peace-keeper/diplomat until the situation has calmed down. I like to think I'm quite good at dispelling hostile social situations...
Re: The Chatterbox Thread
That's awesome, Mattipus!
I don't think I'm quite as good at that as I should be, but I'm no pushover. ^_^ I've had a lot of practice dispelling "hostile" situations. lol, Sibling Wars. But we have a lot of fun, too. xD

Re: The Chatterbox Thread
I'm not a pushover, either... unless it comes to Jonathan. I seriously thought I was stubborn until I met him. When it comes to my trying to change his mind about something, I'm like a cotton ball going up against a steel wall. hahahah
However, I have a tendency to make things worse because I'm far too blunt for my own good. I have become moderately better about keeping my damned mouth shut, but only by the smallest of increments.

Re: The Chatterbox Thread
Lol that's a good point, Kathryn. I do know of some stoners that are constantly immersed in their own drama-filled worlds. I suppose the stereotype of those that have completely fried their brains killing too many brain cells are the ones that occurred to me in that moment. xD
I think we're pretty similar, Kalon.
In real life, I'm usually the same way too, Mattipus. We need more people like that in the world.
Hehe I'm sure that that quality in Jonathan is also something that you really admire and love about him too though, Kathryn.
I like your bluntness though!

Re: The Chatterbox Thread
I'm a really angry person, though I am usually good at suppressing it (though Emerald really got to me, I'll admit). But that is why I can't drink or do drugs. That was my father's falling, and I don't know how I would react under the same influences.
I usually don't make a very good mediator because of my anger and because I'm very opinionated at times. And because I can never usually make up my mind for what I want to say, so by the time I do the time has come and passed.

Re: The Chatterbox Thread
Of course I love it. I'm sick of dating guys who are so easily whipped with just a word. It's obnoxious, and it usually means the end of a relationship. Though it's frustrating that I don't get my way with Jonathan as much as I had grown accustomed in the the past, it's probably for the best because obviously it's not good for a relationship if I constantly get my way with the smallest of things. Besides, my way isn't all that much fun. XD
Fate, you're one of few who like my bluntness, I can assure you.
Silvone, I can understand your worry about using drugs. I know from experience that I am actually quite a happy drunk, and I'm a calm stoner. However, I know many who are the exact opposite on both accounts.

Re: The Chatterbox Thread
Ummmm ... Q for any body: What happens when my mail-box gets full? I'm at like 90% already.
Re: The Chatterbox Thread
Reffy -- It'll just start automatically deleting your oldest message every time you receive a new one (like the way text messaging works). If you have any important PMs, you can always put them in the Savebox.
My inbox has been full since forever. xD My oldest PM in there is from just a few days ago.

Ohnoes - deletion was my guess ... I'm gonna go check that I don't have any thing important in there >.> Thankies Fate

Re: The Chatterbox Thread
Good idea -- it's good you noticed that before it was too late!
Aw, things are going pretty good for now I think, thanks! Nah, it's not bad. Mostly, what's been stressing me out for awhile is just dealing with my insurance company and the hospital and doctor's office I went to back in March of this year. But, I think/hope we're finally getting somewhere with them all now.
How are you doing? I bet it was great having your dad come visit and meet your husband!

Re: The Chatterbox Thread
Glad the planning is going smoothly - sorta. Don't forget to take breaks from the stressing and enjoy some "you" time and some "you&Drive" time Its easy to get stuck into planning and forget the simple things.
Yeah! It was tons of fun. Just getting back into the swing of things. Caught up on the only RP I'm in right now - Sephiris. Decided on a career path - Nursing/Therapist, might be getting a house, if we get the house - then I can have a doggie.
Everything is a bit up in the air, but I will keep ya'll posted. Its like the holiday and having Dad over totally recharged my batteries.
Also addicted to new, more harmless, games. Facebook applications - FarmVille and Restaurant City

Re: The Chatterbox Thread
Oh, yes.
Glad you had fun! Oh, and congraulations on deciding on your career path! That's so great. It's definitely nice too that you were able to just sort of get back into the groove, so to say, with your dad being over.
Hehe oooh, Farmville and other Facebook games takes another person. Ah, but you're right that they're more harmless than others.

Re: The Chatterbox Thread
Which is better, Reffy, do you think?
Farm Town or Farmville? They seem almost identical.

Re: The Chatterbox Thread
Oh god, don't get me started on Farmville. That thing, whilst being a great boredom-curer over the holidays, has slolwy taken over every spare minute of my life.
I wonder if my pineapples are done growing yet... *Goes to check*

Re: The Chatterbox Thread
FarmVille is the best ... FarmTown takes too long and is awkward with clicking, camera movement and growing stuff. I like the simplicity of FarmVille and the cartoon-like nature. I do have both but my FarmTown gets a little neglected because I don't like it.
Restaurant City is also awesome for mind-numbing boredom. Its fun to watch the little people mill about. I love tycoon type games.

Re: The Chatterbox Thread
REALLY?? SIMCITY AND ROLLERCOASTER TYCOON 2 ARE AWESOME!!!!
I've played those.
SimCity 3000 was the last SimCity game I've played. Not a Tycoon game, but same kind of thing. I want to get new ones, but I don't have time to spend on them. I had--have--RollerCoaster Tycoon 2, and I was going crazy-awesome for a while building this huge castle place with a palace and nobles' houses and things. Never did finish it, but what I finished was schwete!
What Tycoon games do you have?

Re: The Chatterbox Thread
oooooo Zoo Tycoon is my fav. I got all the extra's that come with it like Sea World and Exotic animals. I've got Simcity but I'm too destructive with it. Setting natural disasters off is too much fun.
Used to love RollerCoaster Tycoon. That's probably next on my wish-list.
Would like to find the original Business Tycoon (Can't remember the exact name) Where you built roads and train lines to stock farms, factories and shops - but that is crazy old. Used to have crappy graphics but was hilarious to build.

Re: The Chatterbox Thread
Yeah SimCity was great. I remember that it was really hard sometimes, starting out, and even as the game progressed. A real challenge.
Ahh, fun times. I really should get that again. (I lost mine)
I still have RollerCoaster Tycoon 2, but it feels dated. I'd want 3 or maybe 4 if they have one. Assuming my computer can handle it.
Hey, I keep asking this, but has anyone other than me ever played Lords of the Realm II? I still play that to this day! xD

Re: The Chatterbox Thread
I played SimCity 2000 for a long time in grade school. I remember it being very, very hard to get the hang of. But then I downloaded it a few years ago...beat it in one go. Perfect city, nothing left to do. Shows how much my brain has advanced between college and grade school...

Re: The Chatterbox Thread
Heh. I still struggle not to get in debt with Simcity.
Never played "Lords of the Realm II" but it does sound like some thing I would be interested in. Only problem is, I'm still getting over "WorldofWarcraft" and getting into another MMORPG would not be a good idea ><

Re: The Chatterbox Thread
It's not a MMORPG. It's a turn-based strategy game with real-time battles. It's an older game, freeware by now. ^_^
Edit:
Here ya go, good ol' Wikipedia will do it justice.

Ooooooo. That does sound pretty awesome. I'll check it out more closely when I get home
Re: The Chatterbox Thread
I biked several miles today... I admit that it was far more fun than running a mile. I hate running and jogging. I wish we were allowed to just walk the damn mile in high school. I'd have power walked it.

Re: The Chatterbox Thread
Agreed! I was SO bad at the mile in high school. It was embarrassing. One year, I was seriously (I'm not over exaggerating lol - I'm just that bad) the last person to finish the mile in my class. Everyone was cheering me on when I came to the end, and it was just mortifying! I mean, there were people that were rather, well, large that ran it faster than I could. I couldn't figure it out. I mean, I've never been a fat person, and I don't think I've ever been that out of shape.
However, I think I found the root of the problem when I went to get tested to see if I had asthma like my mom. They had this device they wanted me to breathe in, to test if I had enough breath. Well, I couldn't ever get the machine to work, since each big breath I released into wasn't enough. So, it couldn't even test me. I tried several times, but each time it wasn't good enough. I don't have a clue why or what that means... So, they just gave me an inhaler in case. Seems kind of odd, like they would have been a bit more concerned about why I couldn't do something that was supposed to be so straightforward and simple, but ah well, I guess.
Biking for several miles sounds like a lot of fun, in addition to some great exercise.

Re: The Chatterbox Thread
I've had something like that happen to me. I used a BMI tester li'l machine-y thing at a gym once, and it said some ERROR message, like I didn't even exist or like I wasn't even on the chart or something.
I even gave it to someone else, and it worked for them, and then I tried it again. A couple times, a couple different ways. Still no go. It was weeeird.
