Re: The Chatterbox Thread
Oh, I think I've heard of the game for Wii that's like DDR! Nice!
*cling* Oh, Lara, that's awesome! Aww, that's too bad though at the lightsaber attachment, but I suppose that does make sense. That, or she doesn't want you to accidently break anything hehehe.

Re: The Chatterbox Thread
Ahaha. With my clumsiness, it probably was a subtle attempt to keep the breakable stuff nearby intact. You've found her out for me!

Re: The Chatterbox Thread
I think it's just a money making scheme. You have to buy all of these 'attachments' to play games. It's ridiculous.
Also, I'm terrible at DDR, too, but it's still a ton of fun.

Re: The Chatterbox Thread
Well, you don't necessarily have to buy them. I think they're more for the gamer-nerds who are like "I totally want it to seem even more realistic than just the remote!" I mean, I'm cool with just the remote, but there are some attachments out there... Like a fake violin / saxophone for that music game. <3 -doesn't have the game, and doesn't plan to buy it, but still think the attachment is awesome-
I only got the wheel for Mario Kart because I loved the idea of using the wheel, and I rocked at it while playing it Best Buy.
I seem to have a natural affinity towards games like DDR (and Guitar Hero/Rock Band, for that matter). I don't try to show off (/lie) but my friends have commented in the past about how I seem to pick up that type of game fast. So that's probably why I like them so much~.

Re: The Chatterbox Thread
It's so you can be a REAL Jedi, Kathryn. *rolls eyes obviously* Duh!
I think it's more so for the people who want to be really uber nerd about it. At the same time though, it definitely benefits all these companies that can manufacture these attachments and accessories. So, win-win, pretty much.
DDR can still be enjoyed if you're horrible. It's done a lot, I'm sure, lol. I'm just too shy to be doing that in front of people. *major blush*

Re: The Chatterbox Thread
Bah, I care not. I make an ass of myself so often that I'm immune to DDR embarrassment.... However... when I play video games... there's a lot of cussing involved when I make mistakes... and... I apologize a lot if I'm playing with others.

Re: The Chatterbox Thread
Oh man, in front of people? It took me absolutely forever to get the nerve to play the display version in Best Buy. I stood there for ages looking at the empty mat, since no one was playing, and when I finally did it felt awesome.
-agrees entirely with the 'uber-nerd' comment concerning attachments-
Ahaha, Kathryn. You yell at the tv while playing games, too?

Actually... I feel weird playing like... arcades... but not at friend's houses... I don't have to pay monies at friend's places.
Also, yes. I yell a lot.

Re: The Chatterbox Thread
Me too. My family always knows when I'm playing video games... I yell at the game when I get mad at it, start shouting words of happiness when I like something, and generally get all emotional over everything. It's really fun.
Arcades are cool, to a degree, but the only thing I like to play there is DDR. Everything else, I don't feel like wasting money on... Though I do recall one time where I played some sort of old-style fighter game and continued playing until I beat it.

Re: The Chatterbox Thread
Ah I remember those days with DDR, I still own DDRMAX 1 and 2, along with DDR Supernova 1 and 2. I haven't played it in awhile since priorities got in the way a little.
But I do own a Wii, I owned it mainly for the big games like Zelda (was my first game on it <3), Super Mario Galaxy, Mario Kart, and a few others.
I don't really use other accessories (other than the classic controller), cause all I need is my....

THIS IS A POST
I like chatterbox threads. They kind of make my life. So. This is me. Inserting myself into the conversation.

Hey, vitamin_kitten! *waves* XD (Have you ever seen the TV show Avatar? That post you just made reminded me of Toph for some reason, hehe.)
Arthmael, that picture of the chibi Snake and rainbow is amazing.

Re: The Chatterbox Thread
No, I've never seen Avatar- apparently they're making a live-action movie of it though. And I'm slightly tempted to start watching it. Cuz I apparently have nothing better to do with my time. XD

Re: The Chatterbox Thread
Oh, yes, you should most definitely watch it! Lol. It's such a great show, and I really am not just saying that based off my own feelings towards it, hehe. It was actually Kathryn Lacey here that got me into it. (I had seen an episode or two on TV before then and thought it was funny and cool, but I had never watched it all until recently.) The humor in it is not childish or dumb at all, and is actually one of the best things about the show, I think. It's definitely worth watching. I got hooked!
Here's a site where you can watch them on your computer, if you're interested:
http://www.watch-avatar-online.com/
(The Books are the seasons, and the Chapters are the episodes.)
I'm looking forward to the live-action movie too. I just hope they don't mess anything big up.

Re: The Chatterbox Thread
Actually, Fate, her post reminded me more of Sokka in the third season when he's talking to someone about the war balloon. He's like, "A friend of mine actually designed this war balloon. A balloon... but for war..." XD
Bwahahah! Together, Fate and I will be the most powerful Avatards on the forum! No one will stand a chance against us!

Re: The Chatterbox Thread
I've been watching some of Book 1 so far. It's not that bad since I got to chapter 7 with the little time I've had lately (been so busy x.x). BUT I have the weekend =D so all I need is some milk, granola cereal, and just kick back and watch some Avatar.
This I will do in the morning since later I have plans.

Re: The Chatterbox Thread
I'm glad you like it so far. The only episode of the entire series that I don't like is Book One: Water, Chapter 11: "The Great Divide." The only thing you learn is how many stomachs Appa has. The rest is useless.

Re: The Chatterbox Thread
I just made this little dude using the new Oekaki thingy. Unfortunately I had problems getting it to save and then I realized he would be too tiny for the details, outline, to show up.
So instead I took a screenshot and used paint to turn it into a JPEG. I'm amazing (ignore the white outline ... I couldn't be bothered to fix that >.> and partly don't know how using paint)
I was bored before work started. Took me about 20 minutes trying to figure out what button did what.

Re: The Chatterbox Thread
Aw, now the screenshot isn't showing up, Reffy!
EDIT: Never mind! It works now. Silly computer, hehe. What a cute little guy!! That's so adorable!

Here's a stupid question: what exactly is Oekaki? ^^;

Re: The Chatterbox Thread
I had a dream last night/this morning that I was friends with Harry, Hermione, and Ron... and it made me want to take part in a Harry Potter role play... However, I wouldn't feel comfortable doing that until I'd read all the books again, or at least several of them, and I still have two and a half books to read before I can begin reading other ones. :: sighs ::

Re: The Chatterbox Thread
Ooh, I'm glad you said this, because I was thinking of starting a Harry Potter RP, but basically, the setting would be in the North American Wizarding world, rather than the UK, and it would be modern times rather than during Harry's time at Hogwarts.

Re: The Chatterbox Thread
Technically... Harry Potter was set in modern times when the first of the books was written. ^^_^^;;
