Nothing left to chance all is working.
Trying to relax up in the capsule
"Send me up a drink." jokes Major Tom.
The count goes on

Thinks Major Tom
Back at ground control
There is a problem.

They don´t realize he´s alive.
No one understands but Major Tom sees.
Now the light commands

Earth below us
Drifting falling.
Floating weightless
Calling home...
As the connection broke and the last message was sent back to Earth, the ship pummeled through space at the mercy of it's divine beauty and expansion. The sea that the small crew was lost in was enigmatic to detail. There was only so much that Earth knew about it, no matter where you were from.
That's when a ripple was found, only when one wasn't looking for it. The crew members shook within the ship as it gained speed and pace through the mysterious tunnel, knocking each and every one of them unconscious. Was it fate at last? Taking them to the heavens? Or perhaps just the air in which their bodies would rot?
The crew only woke up to a rather loud crash, the ship hit water and it had hit them back in the collision. Time was pressing against their lives, another test of survival. Still no connection to Earth. But where were they?
This question would have to wait. Their ship was sinking. If they expected to exit it to the surface and survive... Action would have to come first.
And fast.
Were there many survivors from this collision? Will they get out of the ship before it sinks? How do the natives to this place feel about such an intrusion? A UFO to their knowledge falling in from the sky and plotting into their sea? And with such mechanics of advanced technology?
Will they ever make it back home...?
This is a futuristic sci-fi/steampunk roleplay. The crew is from a Future Earth, and they slipped through a hole that took them to a whole knew universe unknown to man back home. Here, they use a system of Steampunk mechanics. (As a general difference)
Characters:
Attie -
Soulierian - Queen Jada.
- Spoiler:
- Faction: Otherworld.
Alignment: Neutral Good.
Name: Queen Jada of Jadan City
Nickname: "Jade". "Jay".
Race Former Faery, quasi-immortal human with faery features.
Age: Ancient as the legend.
Gender: Female.
Special Abilities?: She's quasi-immortal, meaning she is immune to time and natural illness/causes of death. She can be harmed, however, just like any one else. - In addition to the legend, which is true, she has the small tricks of a faery, but has been quite out of practice over time, and can only manage simple healing should she be in the enigmatic woods; otherwise, she's out of luck.
Personality Jada is very kind, very calm, and at peace. And why wouldn't she be? Her city is a Utopia of sorts, and she's hardly ever had to put up a fight with much of anything in regards to her people. They adore her, and her commander. No other kingdom bothers them, either, as they pose no thread. ... But nothing perfect lasts forever..
Bio/ History In the distant past there were two faeries who were exact opposites of each other. Jada, the faerie that can never do wrong, and Bernard, the faerie that can never do right. As a stroke of fate, the two faeries fell in love with each other, but in by doing so angered the elder faeries. as faeries are not allowed to behave in such mortal ways, such as in falling in love.
As punishment, the elder faeries decided to turn both Jada and Bernard into mortals, and banished them from being faeries for all eternity. Jada, however, was able to escape the wrath of the faeries due to her good nature. She was banished from their life, but given a kingdom on the better side of the world, and blessed with the roots to prosper, and immortality to live to see it happen. Her beauty as a faery continued on in her humanoid form, but her wings were clipped. Her powers will never work outside of the Enigmatic Woods, yet Jada has been forbidden to ever return.
Then again, this was a couple of centuries ago. Few, other than her civilians, have even heard of the legend, nor believe it.
Appearance
Her ears are pointed, but not long like an elf's, and her eyes are caramel. She is as thin and fragile as she looks, only wearing armor when the precaution is advised, as otherwise she enjoys the company of her loyal civilians. The crown that she wears is that of a tiara of silver that has two metalic wings sticking out of it on either side of her head, above her ears. All of her clothing seems as simple as the styel below, as well as the style of clothing worn by the rest of her civilians, except for those in the rather small and weak military, something that Stanton, her commander, makes certain of.
Also: The pearls that are worn in her picture are a symbol of Jadanians, as it is of their nature, a symbol of wealth.
- Spoiler:
- Faction: Shipcrew
Alignment: True Good.
Name: Mika (My-Kuh) Shiloh
Nickname: None
Race Earthling - Human
Age: Twenty-Seven
Gender: Female
Special Abilities?: Piloting, and self-defense (as learned from the US Empire camps as a precaution against their Russian enemy).
Personality Mika's easily excitable, easily pleased, simple, and all around just a happy person you'd want on a mission that could possibly lead to your doom. She's an optimist to the max, and her spirit is almost unbreakable. However, should the spirit be broken, it takes some time and healing for her to get her head in right. She's also very stubborn when it comes to just about anything she sets her mind to.
Bio/ History: (Coming Soon)
Appearance:
There's always a smile on Mika's face, as is part of her appearance as a whole to look completely washed away compared to the nice suits and uniforms of the program. She wears the uniform upon the serious business, but otherwise is found in scraps of the past, combining them together in what she assumes must have been the way people centuries ago thought were 'in style'. Her style hardly ever covers dresses, skirts, or heels, mainly just things considered unisex.
Squall Reyes -
Shipcrew - Alejandro
- Spoiler:
- Faction: Shipcrew
Alignment: Good Neutral
Name: Alejandro Vasquez
Nickname: Church
Age: 30
Gender: M
Personality: Alex personality is one of stone, this "old" war dog has seen so much action that it seems nothing can rattle him. However this does not mean he's cold off the job as well. Off the job he is much more sociable but still rather shy. There is a violent tempter underneath the clam mask, and it is said Alex has only been seen smiling in the company of trees.
Bio/ History: Lt. Vasquez, IUNA Special Task Force, communications, transferred to Space program upon request, taken due to quality record and knowledge of advanced communications which are used in the spaceship. Has received medals in several different operational theaters including Philippines, Malaysia, Burma and Indonesia.
Appearance:
Not shown in his photo is the cross necklace always around his neck. In a time where religion is slowly being driven out by society, this is strange to many people and is the reason for his nickname "Church."
Falciferum -
Soulierian - Firdos
- Spoiler:
- Faction: Otherworld.
Alignment: Good Neutral. This may change as the RP progresses, and Firdos has more experiences.
Name: Firdos Milhan
Race: Addanct: A short-statured race that typically live in mountainous regions where temperatures can be severely cold. They adapted quickly to the gelid environment when they moved to the mountains thousands of years ago. Large coats shield their bodies from the cold in layers. typically five or more animal skin coats with be piled on at once, even more when they plan to venture into the frost-covered mountains. If left without protection in these temperatures, even in a home next to a raging fire, they would freeze to death in a matter of minutes.
The average height for an Addanct is around 2' 11”, though some can become as tall as 3' 8”, or as short as 2' 7”. Height plays a large part in their social structure as a whole, Addanct who are of average height play small roles in the community, such as hunters and gatherers, while those whose heights lie at the far end of the spectrum are revered as holy, and are often given titles, and jobs governing high respect. Often times Addanct will live to be 500 or more years old, making these titles and jobs last as long.
The true reason why the Addanct came to live in the mountains is unknown, but this tale has been passed down through word of mouth for their entire existence here. This is by no means an accurate account of these events, it is only a legend passed down by elders in the Addanct society. It could be that they have lived here forever, it is unknown for sure.
Hundreds of thousands of years ago the Addanct lived in the valley of Tormal, a hot, vast valley filled with rich soil and a plentiful water supply. They lived there since the creation of the world, thriving happily on the plentiful agriculture in the valley. This was a happy life for the Addanct, until the Brauncher came.
The Braucher was a man, not an Addanct. He towered over them, a colossus among the miniature people. At first this monster of a being gained their trust and befriended many of the elders, but soon his true aspirations were revealed. Slowly, the Addanct's valley was being stolen by this man. It started as a simple desire for a house on the outskirts of their town, but grew quickly. He asked for a plot of land in order to farm, and another plot for raising animals. The elders were fools in those times, far too trusting, and they gave in to all of his requests. Soon he encroached so deep into the Addanct's territory that they were forced out of the valley.
The Addanct searched for hundreds of years to find a society that would accept them. This search led to nothing, there seemed to be no civilization in the world that wanted these beings. After their 300 year search the Addanct decided to find a new home for themselves, and only themselves, a place where they could settle down again, like in Tormal.
Another 100 years of searching lead them to a conclusion: there was no suitable domain to call home in this world that wasn't inhabited by people who didn't want them. Every new mass of land they came to was populated, most of the time it was by hostiles, while other times the people inhabiting the area didn't want them to live anywhere near them. They decided to find an inhospitable place to call their own—it would be the only area where no one else was living.
That was the year the Addanct happened upon their new home, Abdima. A large expanse of land in the mountains. No one dwelt in this land, so they made this their new home. Summer was upon them when they found Abdima, giving them time to fabricate furs and other heating devices that would have been useless to them before they moved here. This was all new to the Addanct, but they survived their first winter season and proceeded to survive every subsequent winter after.
Age: 64
Gender: Male
Special Abilities: The Addanct have the ability to channel forces in their brain to control the elements. To most of them this ability is exceedingly limited, often it can only be used to control water, and even then the strength of control is highly limited. Once every few thousands of years there is a highly gifted Addanct who can effectively use his mental strengths to harness the power of each element. These Addanct are know as Almas, or precious gems.
Personality: Firdos is still a boy in Addanct years. He is often quiet and only speaks to an elder when spoken to, this is the Addanct custom for young ones. When with his friends his attitude towards speech differs little. This brings many of the young Addanct in the community to ignore or insult him. Firdos is unaffected by these jests at his attitude, and ignores them. This being said, he does talk, not to those who showed him revilement, but to his friends. Around them alone he is seen as a normal child. Happy.
Bio/ History: Firdos has spent all of his life in the frigid mountains of Abdima. Every year wishing he did not have to be here. This land is what caused such a girth of misery in his life, it is what caused his almost permanent silence. The cold pierced his body every day, tearing his mind and body like a million blades. Nothing could make him happy here like everyone else seemed.
Every day Firdos disposed his home more and more, every day he became less and less attached to the Addanct around him. His parents tried with all of their power to mold him into a happy child to shape him into someone the community would show adulation for. Their attempts to mold him were in vain, he cared nothing for the rest of the town, not if they all wanted to live here.
Throughout his life he practiced more diligently than other Addanct on his control of water. Usually he was reserved, which gave him an abundance of free time, which he used to study. Almost the entirety of his time was spent working on his practices, he had no friends that he truly cared about after the first forty years of his life, he abandoned them all. Though, he remained in contact with many of them due to his parent's “play dates”. These did not detour him from his work, they allowed him to see how far the other Addanct progressed compared to him. He was far more skilled in the art of water manipulation than any of his friends. His skill still could not match that of the elders, but when he was their age he would likely have a far stronger control over water than them.
The only fortune about living in this desolate landscape was the snow and ice that covered the whole of it. these were things to practice on that were unobtainable in most environments. This was, however, not enough of an incentive for him to desire to live in this frozen land.
Sometime after he turned 63 Firdos decided to leave his homeland. His leave was not made public, only he knew of this plan. On a night like all other nights, as his parents and the rest of the town slept soundly, he exited his home silently, stealing a hatchet of his father's, and headed out, following a star he picked in the night sky.
Appearance: Firdos is a bit taller than the average Addanct, standing at 3' 2”, and he will only grow to be taller, due to his young age. He is typically clothed in five layers of animal skinned garb, which makes him look much larger than he really is. The extra layers give him the appearance of being fat, while he is really quite skinny, like most Addanct. Two to three hats top his head, hiding his hair and ears completely. Thick boots and gloves cover his feet and hands. The only part of his body that isn't covered at all times is his face, and at times a bandanna of sorts is fashioned to cover most of that.
Firdos' face is quite typical of the Addanct. Lightly tanned skin covers his face, most of it hidden by furs almost falling off his hats, only hanging on by threads. His eyes are a dim shade of gray, though if he wears bright colors they can perk up to a light blue. Both his nose and mouth are relatively small compared with the rest of him features, and look quite plain.

Shipcrew - Douglas
- Spoiler:
- Faction: Shipcrew
Alignment: True good
Name: Douglas Fortune
Nickname:"Blackbeard", "Big D"
Age: 32
Gender: Male
Special Abilities?: Weapons crafting, incredible strength in hand to hand combat.
Personality: Big D is just the person to go to when everything hits the fan. He is always there with some sort of comment that can easily break the tension and make everything seem alright for the time being. A good shipmate, and an even better friend, he would rather give his life before he watched someone he cared about get hurt, and for that, the military has declared him 'soft' and pulled him back from the frontlines. At times, he can become very dark in his manner, and his emotions are very easy for everyone to read, because he does little to hide them. If he hates you, he'll speak and act towards you accordingly and strongly. Blackbeard does not hold back on anything, including his fighting. Doug is more of the father type to the crew. He seems to know when they are upset, when they need a good talking to, or when they really need to sit down and have a moment to themselves.
Bio/ History: If you were to ask any of Fortune's superiors about his attitude, they would tell you he is one of the most dis-respectful people in the military, and that he should be lined up and shot. If you were to ask one of his squadmates, they would say there is no one else they could think of sharing a foxhole with.
Big D was born of old Canadian lineage, and his family carries with them a terrible grudge against America for the annexation of their country. Even though they, themselves, have never been true Canadians, they still hate what happened none the less. The other 'true' American superiors look upon his family and him with instant distaste and hate, which is then reciprocated by Doug.
Master Sergeant Fortune could easily be a Captain in the military if it wasn't for the fact that his is always and constantly overlooked for promotions. They usually send him off to backwater assignments with dead end posts, only to have Douglas take it further, and win a major battle by defying orders and breaking formation with his squad. The military would love to court martial him, and shoot him, but they need someone with his particular skills in creating weapons from damn near anything for this mission that they are about to undertake. They have no idea what is going to happen, and they want someone who will be able to fight no matter what's up there with the explorers.
Appearance: Blackbeard usually has a chain of sharkteeth around his neck, though they are not seen in the picture due to the nature of event he is currently seen at. Along with this, his forearms are covered in black and red tattoos. On his left forearm, the word "Courage" is printed in an Old English style of writing. On the other forearm, the word "Canadian" is printed in big bold red lettering.
- Spoiler:
Faction: OtherWorld
Alignment: Neutral
Name: T'lask'rae (Simply known to others as 'T')
Nickname:T, golem, dark angel
Race: The name for T's race is unpronouncable to many races other than his own. For this fact alone, many refer to T's race as 'Junkies'.
Basically, Junkies are floating spheres of light around four feet in diameter, though they are not bright, and sometimes look black. They simply look like floating balls, but this is what is known as their core form. Junkies earned their race nickname through their ability to assimiliate anything, and use it as its body. For those of you scratching you head, imagine there were several piles of bricks on the ground. A Junkie would come floating by, a bolt of pure energy would shoot out of the sphere, grab the bricks, and form a body for the Junkie.
A Junkie does not need to eat, sleep, or drink anything, as they are pure energy. However, if they were using an organic body as their 'host' they would be forced to to keep the body functional. Junkie's are looked upon with a mixed view from the many species of OtherWorld because of their tendency to use recently dead bodies as their own. To many, this is frowned upon, and Junkies have been barred from many towns due to this. Junkies are also mistakenly called Golems from time to time when they are using stone or steamwork pieces for their bodies. This is easily fixed once the Junkie starts talking. When a Junkie talks, it has two options. If the body can talk, it can use the body. If it doesn't, however, it must use what the race calls its 'soul voice'. This is basically telepathy, but at a much stronger level as a Junkie can talk to multiple people at a time.
Junkies do not have emotions as we could classify them. To us, their is no other emotion other than confusion and curiosity. Junkies tend to be very monotonous in tone, and come across as cold, hard creatures to like. However, Junkies often bond to one person or thing, and would die to protect such person or thing. They become so attached that if death were to happen to their selected partner, their entire body collapses, and the core form then starts to glow. The easiest thing that the Junkies have been able to explain this as, is grief.
Junkies are used as workhorses for many business around the world, and because they do not need any sustenance when they are not using an organic body, are very cheap labor. Along with this, Junkies are incredibly long lived, easily reaching the thousand year mark. However, soon after, the Junkie soon loses it's ability to assimiliate materials, and eventually fades out of existance. This 'fading out' is known as the collection among the Junkies. While as a race they are not very religious, everyone of them views the fading as an assimiliation to their creator up beyond the stars. Many Junkies look forward to their 'death' rather than dread it.
Now, while Junkies may seem invincible because of their ability to have anything as their body, they do have limits. For one, no Junkie has been able to make a body over eight feet tall. The energy required to make such a massive thing is more than the Junkies hold in their entire being, and falls apart within seconds of being constructed. Also, if a Junkie's host body is suddenly and rapidly destroyed, the core Junkie is left vulnerable for upwards to an hour as it recovers from the shock and stress of such a rapid disassembly of it's outward body. While in its core form, a Junkie is incredibly vulnerable. A simply flick of the finger sends the Junkie flying, and seriously hampers it's ability to assimiliate. This is the main reason that very few people ever see the core form of a Junkie.
As to where they originally came from, the Junkies have claimed a mined out region at the base of the mountains as their homeland, calling it simply Haven. The cave provides protection from the elements, and has enough natural resources for a Junkie to make its body almost immediately after being born. However, legend has it that Junkies are actually lost souls thrown from the gates of heaven because of sins no one can remember. This has earned them another name of 'dark angels' and further increases suspicion among their race.
As far as reproduction goes, the closest equivalent would be that of cell division. A Junkie's core form would simply split into two, and the seperated piece would then take a few days to gain it's power, and then be off on it's own destiny. There is no parentage here. Simply reproduction, then off the Junkie goes to leave the 'baby' to its fate. While this may seem that all Junkies are clones of each other, the infant actually takes DNA from the entire race, and randomizes it, therefore creating a new Junkie. The Junkie's are then given names by the DNA sequences they have gained. Therefore creating new names for randomized genetic material.
Age: 94
Gender:All Junkies are considered male because of the deepness of their soul voice.
Special Abilities?: Assimiliation
Personality: T is your basic Junkie. He is emotionless by other races standards, but tends to be more curious then other Junkies. He tends to wonder what these other emotions are, and is trying his best to understand them. He will often try to impersonate an emotion, but without really feeling it, fails horribly. Uncharacteristically for the Junkies, T has been known to show something close to kindness, and sometimes disdian. The others see this as a way of understanding emotions, and his perserverance is finally coming to light in small emotional markers.
Bio/ History: T was born in his native homeland of Haven, and after the few days of infancy, quickly left that life. T was curious as to what was out there in the world, and wondered what it could possibly have for him. He had assimiliated the plentiful rocks of Haven, and had made himself a golem like appearance. From there, he simply picked one direction, and started walking. Requiring no food, water, or even rest, he made his towards the city of Kurek.
While wandering through Kurek, T saw that many eyes were upon him, a lot with what looked like hatred, but T did not understand it. After spending a few nights in Kurek, he found out that his race wasn't necessarily wanted or liked by many people due to the superstitions and suspicions surrounding his people. In order to have a reason to leave the city, he quickly took up a job with a travelling merchant as a bodyguard. This is where T'lask'rae first got his nickname of 'T'. T tried to tell the merchant his name, but after several failed attempts, the merchant simply settled for T.
T only worked for this man because he needed a way out of the city. He could see that this man wasn't as good as he pretended to be in front of people, and could see the evil that lay inside his being. Curious to see how evil this man truly was, T stayed with him for quite a few years to come. Finally the man showed his true colors to T when some kids were caught stealing from the merchant's cart. T caught them, and brought them back to the merchant, and saw how furious the man was. He quickly ordered T to cut off one of their hands, and stood there watching.
T was confused, why would he cut off their hand when they only stole something that was barely worth it's weight to carry. However, T wasn't in a position to argue, and assimiliated a nearby axe for his hand. From there, a crowd had begun to form and shout at T. He stopped, and looked at everybody. Their faces were a mixture of hate and anger at such a punishment, but they were powerless to stop a 7'5 creature of stone.
It was at this exact moment that T understood why they hated his race so much. If he chopped the kids' hands off, he wouldn't feel anything about it, not even remorse, but the people around him would. They would remember, and hate his race even more. T couldn't understand hate or anger, other than the fact that he didn't want it put towards his people. He lowered his axe hand, and pushed the kids into the crowd. Surprise filled the faces of everyone as he did this, as well as the merchant's. Then the merchant got furious, and took a hammer to T's body, yelling and cursing his name. Saying that T was his employee, and that he was to do as he was told. T simply picked up the man, and threw him over the rooftops onto the street a couple blocks away. The merchant was trying to hurt him, it was self defense. The crowd saw it as a Junkie with emotions, and they all stared at him with an awe struck expression.
T left the city soon after that, and wandered all over the world in search of answers to questions he would never know. He quickly assimiliated anything that could be use to him, which would be fighting. Unlike other passive Junkies, T had a natural flair for fighting. His emotionless stature also allowed him to kill without remorse. Soon, he was known well enough that anybody wanting a bodyguard or protection knew his name. T's price was often an item, and not money though. Something like armor plating, or a weapon that he could use. This not only made him cheap, but very useful to the right people. For the current moment, he is wandering around in search of more jobs and answers to satisfy his curiousity.
Appearance: T has reached his maximum height of eight feet, and now simply subtracts lesser things in favor of better equipment. The axe on his right hand is actually a giant two handed axe that he has encased in stone and ice in order to make it more effective in combat. The ice spikes over his body are simply to scare people when he faces them in combat, but have been useful for killing anyone trying to jump on his back.
T'Lask'rae's core form is that of seen in the picture.

Shipcrew - Alexander "Xan"
- Spoiler:
- Faction: IUNA Ship Crew; Earth
Alignment: Neutral Good
Name: Alexander Stone
Nickname: Xan
Race: Human (Earth)
Age: 23
Gender: Male
Special Abilities: Programming and Engineering; Computer Technician and Analyst / Robotics Specialist; Understands complex machinery with little effort and can utilize base materials to create a variety of goods, up to and including weapons or defensive implements.
Personality: Due to being raised as a privileged child and inducted into the IUNA’s space exploration program years in advance to the norm, Xan has developed a rather conceited personality that puts others on edge. He knows what he’s being paid for and has no interest in going beyond the call of duty.
His sense of self-preservation is astounding. At any given moment, he is highly aware of his surroundings and very rarely becomes entangled into a situation from which he cannot escape. Even if his plans involve ‘using’ the lives of others, he sees no fault in protecting his own well-being at the expense of less noteworthy individuals.
That’s not to say, however, that he does not value life. If it is feasible to keep everyone alive without severely damaging his personal odds of escaping injury, he will choose that method.
Despite this character flaw, he’s not a wholly dislikeable person. While many are put off by his air of superiority when discussing intellectual matters, some find him insightful and try to garner knowledge from him when he’s willing to share. Because of his thirst for knowledge, he also enjoys learning new things and viewing ideas and concepts from other angles, leading him to spend much of his time reading or listening to stories and opinions from others.
He has a keen interest in mechanics and specializes in the operation and maintenance of computers and complex robotics. Other things fascinate him, as well, and he loves to explore things that are new and exciting – a rarity back on Earth that made him yearn for the ability to explore the endless possibilities of space.
In spite of his usually cool and cocky exterior, he’s quickly unsettled by combat situations. He despises the idea of handling a gun and has only the basic required combat training for the IUNA’s military scientists.
To put it simply, he’s a character who is most cheerful when doing something that interests him, but he has absolutely no intention of doing anything that isn’t required and holds no personal value to him.
Bio/ History: Born to a highly-decorated General of the IUNA military and a sickly mother who died shortly after his birth, Alexander was raised with all the financial backing a child could want, but none of the affection. Because of this, he grew into someone who knows little of the value of emotions and love. He was strictly disciplined from day one and, paired with his natural inclinations toward scholastic achievements, was led on by these pressures to become a highly regarded ‘genius’ in the military’s educational programs.
Xan finished his formal education at fourteen years of age, going on to major in Robotics and Computer Science until attaining his Master’s at seventeen. Because of the military’s watchful eye, he was shortly after offered a position in the program for interplanetary colonization. Elated by the concept of exploring uncharted areas of space, the young engineer quickly signed up for the program and was enrolled for a position on the second exploration vessel, the BOB, as its Chief Mechanic.

Faction: Jadan City; Otherworld
Alignment: True Good
Name: Stanton L’dayel
Nickname: Commander; Sir
Race: Human
Age: 32
Gender: Male
Special Abilities: Swordsmanship (Various); Martial Arts (Various); Tracking; Archery; Mounted Combat.
Personality: Stanton is a very rigid character when playing his part as the right-hand to the queen of Jadan City; however, that rough exterior belies his playful nature. Serving as the Commander to the city’s army, he has learned to wear the mask of sincerity well, and he demands loyalty from those who serve beneath him. Strict discipline is tempered with reward, harsh admonition with playful jests and a hard day’s work with relaxation. In all things, he strives to find a balance that will please the greatest majority.
The commander is also deeply in love with his queen and serves her with undying loyalty. His light-hearted and playful personality is most often displayed while in her presence – an effort on his part to relieve some of the stress that has accompanied her role as Queen for so long. Though he knows the odds of an immortal queen reciprocating his feelings, it does not prevent him from being near to her at every opportunity and supporting her as best he can.
Bio/ History: Stanton L’dayel; real name unknown. Five years ago, he was found on the edge of Lake Aria’s northern bank by an escort in service to Queen Jada. The queen was interested in this man, who looked so much alike the people of Jadan City, but who dressed so strangely and knew nothing of their language. At first, Stanton had fought them with what small strength he could muster, his body moving in ways he wasn’t aware that it could. He lashed out, frightened and misplaced from anything familiar, but was eventually subdued by the queen’s guards.
He awoke at the depths of the great city, surrounded by ornately carved furniture with soft sheets cradling his aching body. For weeks, he rested within the palace walls, watched over by the royal guards and attended by the queen’s servants. They would feed him, dress his wounds, even speak in his presence on occasion; sometimes, they would even try to teach him a few words by pointing at objects and speaking. In this way, he learned a few basics for communication.
From time to time, Queen Jada would come before him and speak to him. He knew nothing that she said, but he began to look forward to her visits most of all. She was beautiful – exquisitely so – and he wanted more than anything to understand her words and speak to her. He remembered nothing of where he had come from, and nothing that would explain his strange manner of dress or being found at the edge of the vast lake, tattered and broken.
When finally he had healed enough to move about the palace, he was allowed to wander to most areas with the company of an escort. As he ventured through the palace, he picked up more and more of the language day by day. As the first few months went by, he slowly became able to hold the simplest of conversations with the servants, and with Queen Jada. She was delighted by his progress, and would spend much of her free time hearing his stories as small fragments of his memories returned. Though he couldn’t remember the important aspects of his own life, he recalled various images and events from a place where he had once lived.
Eventually, because of his love for Queen Jada, Stanton expressed an interest in becoming one of her knights; training to serve her as a loyal retainer. While hesitant to place him in such danger, the queen acquiesced to allow him to train with the knights. If his display at the lake when he had originally been found by the queen and her caravan had not shown his martial prowess effectively, it would be demonstrated time and again during the months of training.
As time went by, this natural talent for swordplay and martial arts allowed him to rise through the ranks of the Jadan City military. Now, he leads them as the Commander, training each new wave of knights to defend the queen and city that he has grown to love with all of his heart. He still cannot remember the land from whence he came or the way he arrived in Jadan’s borders, but he has come to accept that it was fate which brought him to the Eternal Queen, and he now lives for her.

Alignment: Lawful Neutral
Name: Thomas Carlisle
Nickname: Tom; Sir; Major
Race: Human
Age: 40
Gender: Male
Special Abilities: Piloting; Marksmanship; Martial Arts (Various)
Personality: Major Carlisle is the military type of man through and through, though he enjoys to let loose when the time calls for it. While he may seem like a hardass on the outside, he holds extreme compassion for any and all members of his crew and will take up arms in a moment's notice if anything threatens them.

Anaris -
Shipcrew - Hannah "Reeves"
- Spoiler:
- Faction: Shipcrew
Alignment: Good Neutral
Name: Hannah Ann Reeves
Nickname: Reeves
Race Human
Age: Twenty Two
Gender: Female
Special Abilities?: Old school aviator Pilot and she is a skilled "extreme" survivalist. She was trained to live in even the most harshest of conditions by her father who was something of a nutcase.
Personality Hannah Ann is a tough chick. She tends to be rather serious all the time, hardly cracking a smile at anything. Most blame her personality on her nutcase father who was an ex military man. He changed her a lot once she hit puberty. She only tends to speak when she is spoken to and even then she might just answer with a look or a shrug of her slender shoulders. Hannah hasn't ever loved anyone in her life and some wonder if she is even capable of it. An old friend called her a "robot" when it came to her emotions.
Bio/ History To Be Completed
Appearance Waiting on Art
- Spoiler:
- Faction: Otherworld ; Jadan City
Alignment: Chaotic Good
Name: Elisia
Nickname: Isa
Race Shape Shifter / Guardian Deity
Age: Ten
Gender: Female
Special Abilities?:
Isa is a shape shifter. She has one main form she is able to shift to and from at will. It doesn't seem like that amazing of an ability, but Elisia has it nearly mastered even at such a young age. People think it is amazing she can leap into the air and change into her other form before she even hits the ground. The only bad thing is that her other form rips her clothes, so she has to carry spare clothing with her at all times. Another thing is that she can only shift so many times a day. Her limit is about two now because she is so young. If she gets worn out from trying to shift too many times, she reverts to a more human-like form and stays that way until she rests up.
Personality Elisia is a child. What more can be said? She is known to throw fits if she doesn't get her way, but there are times when she can act like an adult. When fighting, Isa is a powerful adversary and very serious. She also takes her role as a Guardian Deity very seriously.
Bio/ History The Kei'Sha Ra have protected Queen Jada for centuries. There hasn't been a time when they haven't been at her side. From what legend tells, Amun, the first of the Kei'Sha Ra came to Queen Jada many centuries ago seeking shelter from those who hunted him. He proved himself to be a loyal body guard to Jada and also a loyal pet in his canine form. When he married another of his kind who lived outside the kingdom, Jada allowed her to live within the kingdom. Since then, the Kei'Sha Ra have been born and raised in the castle walls. The newest and youngest of their ancient kind is Elisia. Amun the 8th and Keitara are her parents and because of this, Elisia is a lunar Kei'Sha Ra. This means her powers are more powerful under the light of the moon/in the darkened hours of the Otherworld.

Things you may want to know:
People Who Matter:
The following people are playable, but if not chosen or altered to a player's liking, they will become NPCs automatically.
Queen Jada of Jadan City - This character is reserved.
- Spoiler:
- As familiar as the city's name sounds to the queen's, there is a reason! Queen Jada is ancient! Not that she looks that way by any means, but she is more so immortal to time and is fortunate enough to not have been harmed deeply enough to cause her death. (She is not immune to physical attack!)
She is calm, collected, and very kind. She rules a prosperous city who adores her as more than a figurehead, but a Queen. She tries to think of the solution that will benefit everyone before herself. If her people are happy, then she is.
Commander Stanton L'dayel - This character is reserved.
- Spoiler:
- [If you want to play this character, feel free to pick a picture of your own or desribe him how you see fit.]
Stanton is the Queen Jada's right hand. Whether it really has anything to do with the militant unit of the city or a large function for the city, he is at her side, or her eyes among the world. For the immortality of Jada's ageless nature is only so long as she is not harmed to death, and therefor he goes about for her as a figurehead and leader. He is the only person she trusts with such a deep sincerity.
King of Kurek City, Riddeon - This character is available!
- Spoiler:
- In regards to Steampower, Kurek is the most advanced kingdom of Otherworld. The first aircrafts were built here, the first steam-trains, steam-carts, steam-everything. To go there is like going to a live fantasy of mechanical intelligence. Every engineer’s dream is to end up there working for their king.
Riddeon is one of the youngest rulers of the city. At a striking seventeen, his family fell under the tragedy at Tohan Factory, where they were on the verge of creating the latest weapon module for their own aircraft. His parents were great enthusiasts, despite the terrible rule they had over Kurek. They expected their people to be just like them, sacrficing for the advancement of steampower. Hardly eating, hardly sleeping, mainly studying. It was unfortunate for the civilians who lived there and did NOT enjoy strictly engineering. Riddeon has been ruling to fix some of these things, slowly, for 10 years now, but with the aggression from the Woodland Elves...
Faeries - They SUCK! (Still, you are permitted to play one...)
- Spoiler:
- Faeries suck, plain and simple. They are a chaotic neutral species that build up on karma and do with it which they will. For example: Man helps kitten from tree = 80% Faeries will grant him good luck/fortune. But, Man, on the other hand, decides to shoot kitten in tree? = 80% of Faeries decide he's going to get in rotten times.
But there is always that 20% who have no law, no system, and will do as they will for their own amusement, selfish needs, or.. worse.
Things to know as a player:
Future Earth
- Spoiler:
2010 - 2350
In the early 21st century the United States of America fell into unprecedented economic hardship. With ever increasing debt and inflation threatening to bring the country to its knees and no politician seeming to have an answer to the problem, it seemed like it was the end for America. With the rest of the world fairing no better in the global depression, the US had no allies it could turn to for aid and support.
Then in 2032 the inevitable happened. Disillusioned with the seemingly broken political system in Washington, General Brougham, a high ranking leader in the US Armed Forces, launched a successful coup against the government and declared martial law, ending over 250 years of Democracy in America. Equally disillusioned and disgruntled with politicians in Washington that could do nothing, the people gave their support to this new President.
Knowing that no purely economic solution was in sight, President Brougham instead turned to conquest as a means to acquire more resources. With the collapse of the British Commonwealth in the years between 2026 and 2030, Canada had been left isolated in the North and was his first target. After that he turned his sights on the Caribbean and Central America, annexing every country all the way down to Panama with there being little any other country in the region could do to stop him.
Meanwhile the in Europe, the European Union had completely dissolved, with its former members now embroiled in an endless series of wars with both one another and with the Middle East over increasingly limited resources. Russia's government had become highly unstable and in 2033 fell to a Communist coup. Seeking to reclaim their former power, this new Communist Russia began to invade its neighbors and conquered them one by one with surprising speed.
Both America and Russia greedily devoured every nation in their path to acquiring more resources to support their ever struggling economies. It was inevitable they would come into conflict and so in 2039 they did and World War III began. Though no nuclear weapons were used, it was a horrible conflict that lasted until 1947 and ended inconclusively, with both superpowers having been unable to gain the upper hand.
Eventually, with the peoples growing acceptance of an authoritarian America, President Brougham declared himself President-For-Life and upon his death in 2077 his son James Brougham succeeded him as "President". By the time of his death, people had begun to think of the President like a Sovereign Monarch rather than a mere politician, and in 2144, his son Henry proclaimed himself Emperor of the "Imperial Union of North America".
Similarly, the Communist government of Russia had taken to calling itself the "Union of Eurasian Soviet Republics" with their newly acquired territory and power. With brutality unseen since Joseph Stalin, they kept a tight hold on their possessions which ranged from parts of China to parts of central Europe and the Middle East.
From here to the present (2355) many more wars between the two superpowers were fought, with many other nations caught in between their eternal warring. Earth was gradually transformed into a depleted and war torn wasteland. At last seeing that their planet was dieing, the current Emperor of the IUNA, Maxwell Brougham commissioned a state of the art starship, the BOB (Beyond the Orbit's Boundaries), with the expressed mission of discovering an inhabitable world that the IUNA and it's people could evacuate to and colonize.
Otherworld
- Spoiler:
- In general, Otherworld is a whole new world, hence the name. It has grasslands, it has swamps. It has desserts, it has seas, it has lifeforms, and creatures beyond imagination. Steam powered mechanics and technology is the advancement of the century. Among the many cities, some governed democratically, most of them not, there are three major cities. Kurek, Jadan, and Bernadice. Kurek is in the highest in the running of advanced Steampower; the leader. Jadan is in last place, running upon simplicity and peace through hardwork using natural minerals, a utopia or sorts, etc, and Bernadice runs as a balance between the two, though it is completely lost and hidden in a eternal sandstorm, according to legend.
Though these are the three main cities, do not forget that there are many more to be discovered by the ship crew, just use your imagination. If it's not there already, make it up and let it be discovered!
The Legend of Bernadice
- Spoiler:
- In the distant past there were two faeries who were exact opposites of each other.
Bernard on the other hand, was banished to the Soulieria Desert, and was cursed for all eternity.
As time went on, Bernard stumbled upon a magical mirror in the desert, which was able to give him a wife. Sadly, after Bernard's wife gave birth to their only son, Bernard died due to the curse of the faeries. Bernard's son however, grew up to be a man, who was able to establish the town of Bernadice in honor of his father. In the beginning, Bernadice was a thriving city, a center of trade in the desert, as well as a place to rest. The faeries however, did not approve of this and cursed the town. An everlasting sandstorm surrounds the city and denies the citizens any light from the sun.
Because of this, the citizens, especially those of the bloodline of Bernard, were affected. As time grew on, the skin of the citizens grew pale, and due to the lack of sunlight, they are unable to grow vegetables. The bloodline of Bernard, due to their curse, are unable to digest cooked meat, thus they must consume meat raw, or at least still bleeding. In time the citizens of Bernadice learned to gain nutrients from the blood of what they eat, and in desperate times, have even been known to kill any wandering traders and caravans so that they may consume them.
The Depths of the Seas
- Spoiler:
- They say that every monster that dwells beneath the surface of the seas is a soul lost at sea, coming back to haunt those who tread over the waters that he never could. Jealousy and rage corrupted these beings into mindless creatures that hated everything.
But it is also said that any woman who falls into the sea is granted eternal life.. As a ghost of melody. A Siren. Who sings the men to her to join her in her home… One that does not greet guests as fine as they intend.
This is why people began developing Aircrafts over the years. Being in a war with someone across the seas was hard enough. Having to cross it and survive was a whole separate problem.
The Enigmatic Woods
- Spoiler:
- This is where the woodland elves live among the forest fairies. They are keepers of all things nature, and are modern-day ‘hippies’ if there ever were. They live high up in the trees, seemingly ‘tree houses’ to those who indulged in technology and the mechanics of steam, but it suited them fine. They found a natural way to give them everything they could ever need, never having to leave the forest.
If a woodland elf ever left the forest, they were no longer called a woodland elf, but only of elven descent. They were no longer acknowledged for having left the true place, home, in search of better things. Curiosity. It made them more like the humans. And that was something many of them despised for cutting down their trees among other poisonous things they did to the surrounding plants and animals of the kingdom of Kurek, the Kingdom of Steam.
NOTE: This will be edited as places are explored. I put up generalizations until then.

Re: Calling Major Tom! [OOC]
Once everyone has applied a character sheet per character, I will collect all the approved ones and put them up in a catalog. Because I'm anal about that, and forget half the time who looks like what or plays which character, and it's just easier.
Soulierian - Queen Jada.
Earthling - Mika Shiloh
Earthling - Mika Shiloh

Re: Calling Major Tom! [OOC]
Faction: Otherworld.
Alignment: Good Neutral. This may change as the RP progresses, and Firdos has more experiences.

- Spoiler:
- Hundreds of thousands of years ago the Addanct lived in the valley of Tormal, a hot, vast valley filled with rich soil and a plentiful water supply.

Re: Calling Major Tom! [OOC]
Faction: Shipcrew

Re: Calling Major Tom! [OOC]
Firdos is accepted. Thanks for the edits.
Blackbeard is accepted, as well, but I'm very hesitant to accept "T".
Personally, and I hope others read this before trying to create their Soulierians, I am not a big fan of the ancient ages. I requested Falci to cut his in half because it bugs me so much to have someone so ancient and old not living in some advanced world or society of it's own. You'd think with all the time they've spent living in the place, they wouldn't just be slave/cheap labor and the like. As I asked Falci to cut his age in at least half, I must ask you to do at least the same in that respect.
I appreciate that you went in to such detail with your race, and it's original, so that's most definitely a plus, but as I skimmed through it twice, I think my dyslexia is just working against me, so can I ask you to tell me the advantages and disadvantages that will equal out each other?
Thank you. :]

Re: Calling Major Tom! [OOC]
Sure, I'll cut his age down, that's easy. I'll list the advantages and disadvantages in point form here.
Advantages:
-Can assimiliate anything as their own body (Granted that it isn't bolted down or as large as a building)
-When in a host body, they cannot be killed until the host body has been destroyed and their core form revealed.
-Emotionless stature means they can think logically and do things that other races would be to squeamish to do
-Unless they are using an organic body, they have no need to eat, sleep, or drink anything.
Disadvantages:
-A Junkie's core form is extremely vulnerable. A simply flick of the finger sends the Junkie flying, and seriously hampers its ability to assimiliate objects.
-If a Junkie's 'body' is suddenly and rapidly destroyed, it can take upwards to an hour before the Junkie can assimiliate anything else due to the shock of beind thrust into their core form so quickly and without conscious thought.
-A Junkie CANNOT regenerate its host body unless it is organic and already has regenerative abilities. If T were to lose an arm on his golem-like body, he would need to find more stone and ice and assimiliate in order to recover his lost arm. This being said, once they are wounded in their core form, they also take almost three times as long as the next race to recover from their injuries.
-Due to superstitions and suspicions about their race, many other species do not trust them, and they have never been allowed in a more powerful position than a workhorse or mercenary.
-Emotionless stature works as a barrier between the Junkies and every other race.
-Host bodies cannot be taller than eight feet tall due to the enormous amount of energy that would be required to keep a body functional.
-When using an organic body, they must do things like eat, sleep, and drink in order to keep the body functional. For this reason, many Junkies tend to stay away from using organic bodies.
Hopefully this works for you. This probably isn't all the pros/cons, but if I think of them, I will post them up here so others can see as well.

Re: Calling Major Tom! [OOC]
Hmmm.... Alrighty. Thanks for that, quakernuts. :] I'll go ahead and accept him as I don't see a huge problem. If anything comes up with anyone's new races, I will ask them about it later on, and please be aware that I very well may if it gets too OP (Over Powered), etc etc.
Not that that WILL happen, just precautions. ^^

Re: Calling Major Tom! [OOC]
Faction: IUNA Ship Crew; Earth
Appearance:

Accepted - Weiss. Thank you very much.
Oh, I should also clear up that when I said two characters, I meant to strictly imply that I meant one Earth, one Otherworld, or both. Not two humans, or two Otherworldians.
I hope this doesn't tarnish anyone's ideas. I apologize for not having said it sooner.

Re: Calling Major Tom! [OOC]
Alrighty. I have enough characters to start the roleplay, so I will probably do so either tomorrow or Saturday sometime. I know we're still waiting for Gunneh and Anaris' profiles, and hopefully we'll have them by then, but if we don't, there's no worry. This roleplay, for the most part, will be open enough for them to join even after we start.
For instance, if they wanted to make an Earthling, then we can be vague for as long as we can about who's escaping the ship with the rest of us, etc. But we can only do that for so long until we pass that part of the story.
As for Soulierians, they can be added at any time, so there is no rush, unless you want to be accepted before we start this game.
I will be starting the game for the Earthlings in the ship, preparing to smash into the Soulierian Ocean. So, brainstorm on that if you're an Earthling. - If you're an Otherworldian, focus on thinking if your character will see the impact when it happens, or if we will meet up with them later, or perhaps if you are on another part of the world with a few other roleplayers. Its all up in the air, just do as you will. :]
Anyhow, just thought I'd let it be known that this is starting soon. I've got enough applicants to start, so no need to make them wait when you can join later. ^^

Faction: Shipcrew

Faction: Otherworld ; Jadan City

Hey Quakerman! Thanks for posting, but could I ask you to up the font color a little bit. I don't mind a different color if you're using that to differentiate your characters, but I can't read the black to save my life ^^
Re: Calling Major Tom! [OOC]
yeah, about that. It's not my choice, my computer is totally F'ing up my font and other stuff. I'll switch the color, but to be honest I can't really seem to find one that doesn't kill somebody's eyeballs. Sorry about that
Edit: Nevermind, figured half the problem out.

Re: Calling Major Tom! [OOC]
Alrighty, I have finally posted, hooray. I have been sick for over a week now, which is why I have taken so long in posting. It started out with me getting all hot at night and freezing during the day, while that was happening I had a piercing, unrelenting headache that kept me from writing or doing much of anything. (keyboard typing sounds hurt me head =() Now my headache is gone and I can actually sleep well but I have a cough, which isn't nearly as bad as what I had before. Anyway I posted and that's all that matters. I hope it's adequate.

Re: Calling Major Tom! [OOC]
Falci! I'm so glad to see you posted. ^^ As for the upcoming post from Anaris and Weiss, they'll be collaborating since their characters Xan and Reeves will be escaping together via a different route, I think.
Patience is a virtue, and I'm sure they'll post great once Anaris can make it to a computer. It -IS- Easter, so I doubted many people would be on regardless. ^^

Re: Calling Major Tom! [OOC]
Cypher, you are still welcome to join this roleplay. However, since we have started and already crash-landed, you will not be able to play a member of the shipcrew.
All you would need to do, if you are still interested, is post a character sheet for me to evaluate and if it is accepted, then I will find a way to pencil you into the story thus far. ;]

Re: Calling Major Tom! [OOC]
I'm going to try to collab with Weiss today on our crew post for this.
