Me, too. Ryona, you had better show us all when you're done. ^^_^^
How many of you plan to enter the Ghost writing contest?

Re: The Chatterbox Thread
There seem to be quite a few interested parties. Quite a few more than the last contest. I'm really looking forward to seeing all the entries!
Re: The Chatterbox Thread
Yeah. I'm actually considering entering just to enter... I don't actually want to win because I have no idea what I would have commissioned if I did win, but it would be fun just to see if I have what it takes. ^^_^^;;

Re: The Chatterbox Thread
I'm definitely going to try to enter...but that depends on me mustering the motivation to write something up for it. I have an idea, but the last time I tried to write it, the story didn't really turn out like I wanted so I gave up. Maybe this time things will go smoother.

Maybe this time you'll have better motivation, too?

Well, of course there isn't going to be much of a chance with that attitude. :: shakes head ::
I'm actually really excited about my idea. I have a beginning and an end and my catalyst, but now... I like... need to figure out the body. XD

Re: The Chatterbox Thread
If you use your elf dress as inspiration, it will give you one hell of a body!

Re: The Chatterbox Thread
I'd like to get some of my art up on the site, but then again, I've been saying this for the longest time. Truth be told, I f***ing hate my scanner, and it takes a long time to turn on my old ass computer, then my printer, scan something, save it onto a jump drive, shut down the fossil PC, and then come back to my laptop and download it

Re: The Chatterbox Thread
Sounds like me. I'm just too lazy to put forth the effort of scanning random drawings and then emailing them and then going to my laptop and then opening the pic the saving it then putting it up on photobucket then distributing said pic to the masses.
I'd rather sleep. =D

Yeah...I just let my wife take care of all of that unnecessary work. Of course, we only have one computer to work with, instead of two.

Re: The Chatterbox Thread
I guess I'm lucky to have a scanner?
And a machine that works smoothly?
Although, I do have to go back to Windows 98 every time I want to scan something.
At least it's on the same computer and I don't have to wait very long.
People who don't have a scanner: just take pictures of the art. This is the internet; I'm sure you can find tons of tips on how to do it properly. Then once you've got the pictures you can fix them up in photoshop or some photomanipulative () program and upload it to us! xD

Honestly, my elf dress wouldn't fit within my story anywhere at all. It's sad, but true. It's the future and elves are of the past. =3
I usually just use my camera to transfer pictures from there to my computer, but I wish I had a scanner. It would be so much easier.

Digital cameras yes. But you already knew that. I mean...how couldn't you?

Ragter's already proven he's not the brightest Crayon in the box. There's nothing we can do about that. =3

Re: The Chatterbox Thread
I thought all cameras were digital these days.
Especially with cellphones and things.

Re: The Chatterbox Thread
There are still disposable cameras. And journalists prefer old-style film cameras a lot of the time.

Yes, but most people use digital cameras. They're better.

Re: The Chatterbox Thread
Not really Kalon, the camera in Quarantine wasn't digital, so ha!

Re: The Chatterbox Thread
Aha! Well, I do find it odd that many digital cameras take so very long to actually snap the shot, whereas older cameras seemed to do it in an instant. What with shutter speeds and all.
Maybe the digital camera I sometimes borrow isn't very advanced?

Re: The Chatterbox Thread
Digital cameras focus a lot on getting a good picture, rather than forcing the user to do it themselves. They have to find the target, focus on the target, and adjust the lighting, on top of everything else the handler is making it do.
With older cameras, that is all done before the button is pressed to take the picture. Now, most of it is done between the time you press the button and the camera takes the picture. So, yes, it takes a bit longer, but it also makes it easier for the photographer.

Here, here! I love digital cameras. I get such nice pictures from them. I don't mind the slow capture rate. ^^_^^

Re: The Chatterbox Thread
Jeezuz it has been far too long.... Unfortunately it seems that my staff position has been stripped, but I understand why and there are no hard feelings.
NOW THEN!
All that is out of the way, so I just wanted to make one simple announcement to all the old, and I'm sure all the new, members of this wonderful site that is FOG.
