Away for the weekend

This is a heads up for everyone: Onenitedrive and I will be gone, starting Friday morning. We are returning to our homes in the Quad Cities (where we used to live with our families), about 3 hours away from Chicagoland, where we are now. I have a lot of things to do once we there, including going to an eye doctor appointment, meeting with a florist, possibly going wedding dress shopping, and other such wedding-ish things. :3 I'll have my Macbook with me, but I obviously won't hardly be on, expect for maybe a few minutes before bed on Friday night.

We are returning to our apartment here on Saturday night, so we'll be back by Sunday, but I'm not sure we'll have much in the way of time, since we'll need to both get caught up on homework and groceries and such before the weekend's over. So, we'll pretty much be gone from this Friday to Sunday.

Don't have too much fun while we're away!

Hey, guys, I'm still gone. I'm at my parent's house right now, but Tony and I will be driving back late tonight. We are eating lunch with my family, then seeing his mom, and then grocery shopping here (since it's a LOT cheaper than in Chicagoland with their outrageous prices and taxes), so yeah. We won't be home until late tonight, and we'll have more things to do tomorrow, like I said, so I'm sorry I can't be around more and reply back to all you guys and my PMs and such. I will soon though!

Yesterday, my best friend (who is living up not far from Chicagoland now, but who I went to high school with here) was able to get the day off and drove down to meet me at my parent's house, and we went to David's Bridal to look at wedding dresses. I tried on about 8 or so, I'd say, and the 2 ones that I loved on their website were the ones I ended up liking the most...until the girl that was helping me brought out a dress that was literally a combination of both the two, and it was perfect! I loved it, and so did everyone else. I ended up liking the ivory color better too on me, since I'm very porcelain-skinned, and the white really made me look more pale, and everyone else seemed to think I looked better in the ivory as well, which really is not too different from white, but just not as BAM-bright! Lol. So! They had the dress in ivory in my size, and I ended up getting it!! I need to get some alterations still, such as the length, because it was too long, but yeah, we have it! On top of that, my maid of honor also found her dress for her and my bridesmaid! It's in cornflower blue.

Having the dress be a surprise is so much fun. I also surprised Silvone with a specially made Lord of the Rings song mix walking down the aisle. It had a mix of Evenstar, Aragorn's Coronation song and Tinuviel

Oh, so we're back now. I have A LOT of catching up to do, and I've already had to help handle some issues even, so I think I'm going to be quite busy. Tomorrow, onenitedrive and I have some more grocery shopping to do (along with cleaning out the rats' cage), so I apologize if I can't get to everything this instant. I'm going to try and get the major things out of the way though, or whatever I can handle. I appreciate your patience!

Yeah, my mom purchased the dress, so we got to take it home with us! I just need to get it altered in January. But yep, we have it! It's at my parent's house though, so I can't try it on now, but I can upload the pictures from my cell phone that my maid of honor took of me in it. I'll just have to wait until Tony's not around, since I don't want him accidently seeing me and ruining the surprise of seeing me in a wedding gown for the first time! Aw, but thank you so much! <3

Even though I am not feeling the motherly love after that statement, I must say that your dress is absolutely beautiful. You should keep some duct tape handy for the wedding since Tony's jaw will most likely end up on the floor during the ceremony once you appear at the other end of the isle. Nice choice on the bridesmaid's dresses as well, the pictures of the wedding party will be fantastic I'm sure.

OMG! That dress is amazing! You are going to look like a star! Glad every thing is going smoothly. Don't get too stressed - your supposed to enjoy planning it Some thing I forgot half way through my planning.

I tried on loads of wedding dresses - wasn't sure what I wanted. I went from huge to petite, fluffy to slim We were shattered by the end of the day. Surprising how much it takes out of you. Eventually I settled on a bridesmaid dress. Yes, I really did get married in a bridesmaid dress. It was red and full length. It was sleeveless with pretty patterning along the bodice part

I must tell you about my wedding day some time ... its hilarious But I'll save that for another day - when perhaps you need a giggle
