Weekend Plans
I'll be leaving tomorrow afternoon, headin' North to Snohomish to spend the weekend with some friends. Odds are I'll be back Sunday or Monday, depending on how plans play themselves out for me. So until then, enjoy your weekend!

Re: Weekend Plans
I love your life, Shades. It's so free-like! It's like, "I might be back Monday; I might not!" I like that. Enjoy yourself!!
Re: Weekend Plans
Ah, ‘tis no better way to live than just going with the flow and seeing what happens. Well, in my book at least. ~chuckles~
I miss when majority of my friends weren’t too busy for such things...~sighs~
I know we don’t know each other but, have fun.

Re: Weekend Plans
I'm taking advantage of it while I may, lol. When school starts, things will be crazy busy, so until them I'm going to try to make the most of it. Thanks Fate!
And I agree, Melancholy. You always find the best things when you're not actively searching for it. A couple years ago I never had friends in town, most are in the military. But this is the time of year when everyone starts to trickle home for holidays, and before their sent to Iraq, so I'm usually fairly busy. (Which I'm thankful for.) I shall enjoy myself, thank you for the well wishes!

Re: Weekend Plans
My weekends won't return until I have a better job. But that will come when it comes, I guess.

Re: Weekend Plans
Think of it this way; it could be worse. You could not have a job. At this point, having one is a very good sign. I had to go all the way to Alaska to find work, and one of the reasons I've so much free time right now is because no one is interested in highering an EMT, because I'm 'overqualified' for said possitions. Which is just silly when bookstores say such a thing, as if I'm after their jobs... *grumbles... /end rant . *

Yeah, I always have to tell myself that. I'm luck to have a job. I'm lucky to have a spot at CSUB, considering its current dire circumstances. Sometimes it helps. Sometimes I'm too worn out or angry to care. More often angry...
I have patience, despite how much I complain, so I'm sure I can see it through

Yes, be glad you’ve a job. Here I sit with no job to speak of. So far every place I’ve went to around here has either not been hiring, biased against hiring males (yes, that does happen), or biased because I have long hair. The only place I've been able to get work so far was somewhere I didn't even apply, a liqour store. Could have gotten a job there because my family has known the owner for a very long time. Only problem being I won't be twenty-one until next april. ~sighs~

Oh, I love hearing that. Too many people quit before they can get ahead, and then regret. Lifes too short, you've got to enjoy the moments as they are, and how you're able to accomplish the seemingly difficult and impossible, and that only makes you stronger. Your kid will be empowered for your hard work later on in life and greatful for the opportunities you're able to provide.

Re: Weekend Plans
I'm hoping he will take after his mother and father's example, considering everything we do is ultimately for him...but you never know with kids. I'm the odd one out in my family.

Re: Weekend Plans
I believe every parent wishes that. Well, every good parent at least. I myself am no parent, and in all honesty I don't plan on ever being one. But it just seems to me that most any decent parent would hope that their child would take after the examples set down for them.
Though, I see nothing wrong with being the odd one out of a family. After all, being odd does not necessarily mean bad. Of course, I am the odd one out of my entire family (no siblings, thankfully) and take pride in that really. It is not that I chose to be, however...it is simply they way that I've become over time.
Either way, I'm sure that you'll have no problems raising a child that you can be proud of in the future.

There's no joy in being the same as everything else. Unique differences stand out stronger than similarities, you're son will be greatful, just you wait and see!

Re: Weekend Plans
No, I wasn't saying that as it was a bad thing! If I wasn't the odd one out I would have no education, be an alcoholic and possibly a drug addict, and have no future outside of the military. So, yes, I am proud to be the odd one out. I was just saying that despite Ryona and I trying our hardest to do what is right and best, Taeo could very well choose to be lazy and not take after our example.

Re: Weekend Plans
Sincere apologies, I was not meaning to hint at you saying being odd was bad. I've a tendency to go off with my own musings about things at times and speak in a general aspect of things.

I have to say, Taeo is the coolest name. How is that pronounced? (To make sure I've got it right. Tay-oh?)

Re: Weekend Plans
Yes. His full name is Theoden (from The Lord of The RIngs), but we call him Taeo for short. Sounds better than Theo.
And my wife loves replacing it with Day-o in the banana boat song!
