I agree with you there. PoA was my favorite movie thus far. And that is awesome that you cosplay as Hermione with Time-turner and all!! I need to pick me up some new HP merchandise soon.

Onenitedrive and I finally got to see Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince today. Smile We liked it! They've always changed the roles of characters in the movies (such as replacing one character with another for certain scenes) or altering or removing other things. Yeah, it is disappointing and always has been for me, but I've just grown to accept it. They're the movies. They usually have reasons for why they can't do things to a T, as much as it sucks. That's why the books are worth reading. ^^

I was wondering if it's the same in the books as it is in the films when it comes to powerful witches and wizards casting spells: Do they not need to say the spell they're casting? In the films, they just move their wands around to cast powerful spells or block other spells. The powerful ones (like Dumbledore, Voldemort, Bellatrix, Snape, etc.) don't say them. Is this on purpose? Are they supposed to have surpassed saying spells out loud?

In the book, wasn't there a point when the students were taking a class to be able to do spells without words? I forget. But I think if you've been doing it enough, you'd be able to preform spells without saying them out loud. Actually, some of the students did a few spells without speaking too during the movie, didn't they?

I can't remember... XD Lol. That could be. I think that'd be way more productive though, since then all you'd have to do is think of a spell to perform it, rather than having to say it each time you want to cast something.

Yeah, they actually spent a good portion of the book attempting to cast the spells nonverbally. Most didn't have much success, but a few did, and Harry ended up casting a couple of different spells without words. I don't remember if any of them used any in the movie, though...

I think it was the 6th book actually. They didn't do anything in the movie dealing with them learning how to do wordless spells. But when like Harry and Draco were fighting, I think they pulled a few off and I think there was another time too.

Yeah, it was in HBP that they spent some time going over wordless spells- it was important because
Spoiler:

The movie just bothered me- the book itself was nothing but filler and fluff and setting the stage for Deathly Hallows and
Spoiler:

I don't know, I guess I'm just picky. I still hold that they cut some of the most important stuff out of the book for no reason. Neutral

I agree with you when it comes to the HBP part. They should have done more with that in the movie I think.

Yeah, I definitely agree that the HBP was underdone. Most of the book was supposed to revolve around that, including relationships between people. >.>

However, as I told my sister... They included the canary scene. Therefore, I was happy. That was really the only point I was looking forward to.

Harry Potter is so awesome, I love it. Books were the most amazing thing ever and the movies are not half bad either.
