Re: What are you watching?
Awww,,,too bad. I really love Moulin Rouge. Yeah, some of it is a little cheesy and whimsical, but the overall story line is good. Plus, there's an amazingly hot tango sequence later in the movie to "El Tango de Roxanne." That makes the whole movie worth it to me.

Re: What are you watching?
Last night, I trekked down to my school's student center and got to watch Burlesque. It was amazing.
My friends and I have been having frequent Charmed marathons. We're currently on disc 5/6 of the first season, and I have all eight of the seasons up with me. It's a great time because we have such a diverse Charmed group watching: two of the people watching have seen all of the seasons, I've seen all but the final season, one has seen up to season 4 or 5, one has seen sporadic episodes throughout all of the seasons, and two had never heard of/seen Charmed before this semester. It's glorious.

Re: What are you watching?
Just caught up with Friday's episodes of Smallville and Supernatural since I don't have an actual TV anymore and need to track them down online every week. Can't wait for the next episode of both, especially Supernatural though.

Re: What are you watching?
Maybe I'll give it another try then, Silvan. You're the second person who's said good things about it and I think I whacked the judgmental hammer down too quickly.
Maiden Heist
Christopher Walken is so cool, lol.

I got to "0:06:10"(the part in the beginning when he's setting up his type writer and "an unconscious Argentinian man and a dwarf dressed as a nun" burst into his room amidst zany music and quick-edited shots.)
Can't do it. Sorry. Cannot go on. Trailer looked great and was looking forward to dancing and music but the whole tone of "self-aggrandized whimsy" it's setting so far makes me grit my teeth. And Ewan McGregor without facial hair looks like a dork.
I had to hold my breath through the beginning. I really, really wanted to turn it off, but it was my friend's favorite movie and he gave Phantom a chance, so I had to give it a chance. It gets a lot better toward the end. It's one of my favorites now...but it took a while.
Currently not watching anything...

Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire
You can tell that I'm a REAL HP fan when my watching experience went something like this:
"Meh, this is mildly entertaining...why does everyone look like they need a freaking haircut? Oh, that was sorta cool--OMG!!! WAS THAT DAVID TENNANT!!!??? EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!! I NOW OWN A FILM WITH DAVID TENNANT IN IT!!!" <333333333333

The Shining
The main woman in this - I forget her name - is kind of ugly and odd looking, but the more she talks the more fond of her and her appearance I am becoming. Something very quiet and cute about her.

Ryona and I are borrowing the tv series Sparticus. We haven't watched any of it yet, but I would like to soon. I have a feeling from what I have heard of it that Theoden won't be able to watch it with us...

If not for the language alone, I would humbly suggest you watch it after he's in bed.

Re: What are you watching?
Oh yea, I hadn't yet told Silvone about that. Trust me, he won't be watching it with us. Silv just didn't get the warning yet.

Re: What are you watching?
Just came back from seeing The King's Speech. I knew that movie would be good even before it won those Oscars. Definitely deserved them in my humble opinion. Now if only that strange guy wasn't there making all that noise in the theater. -.-

The Mask
The nostalgia was too hard to resist... especially in BlueRay form. It's been far too long since I've seen this movie.

Re: What are you watching?
I always seem to get into shows that get axed. I guess I don't have good taste in TV.
Did anyone else like watching the Cape? I really liked Max Melini (sp?) and Faraday's dedication to his family. Sort of gaging interest in a fandom RP...

Re: What are you watching?
Last night's episode of House. Officially the funniest episode ever.
House (after decapitating the zombie form of Chase): Good thing I brought my Axe-Cane.
Cuddy (off in the distance): HOUSE!!!
House: I'M COMING!!!
[House pulls a pieces of a pump action shotgun out from his pockets and attatches them to his cane using the stick of the cane as barrel just before zombie forms of the rest of his team run out from his ruined office. All of them are shot dead.]
^
Yes.... that actually happens.

Yep I knew it wasn't that good, but I didn't realize how near its demise it was.

Re: What are you watching?
Just saw Sucker Punch.... I still don't know what to think of that movie. Was really annoying but the action was awesome. My dad and I intend to treat it like we do the Pearl Harbor movie. Just watch the awesome action and ignore that annoying, whiny plot.
