Re: What are you watching?
Hm... I read the book, and I thought it was really good, but I've never seen the movie. I think it's actually a testament to how decent a writer Stephen King is that he can write such drastically different books from his usual horror stuff. =3

Re: What are you watching?
Right now, I'm rewatching all the Buffy seasons, and I'm on the last - season 7. (I really would like to get season 8 that is in comic form.)
On a side note, I can't believe they're making a Buffy movie without Joss Whedon just to cash in on the vampire craze. I hope they don't ruin one of my all-time favorite TV shows like M. Knight did with Avatar.

Re: What are you watching?
Well, the only other Buffy movie out there is so ridiculously awful that I can't even finish it. I used to like it when I was really little, but tried to rewatch it recently, and it was awful...
I'm pretty sure that it can't get much worse than that one. =3
The last episode of the first season of The Walking Dead airs tonight!

Re: What are you watching?
I love the Walking Dead! I have the last episode taped so I can watch it tomorrow. Quite an amazing show that is!
Right now...I'm cuddled up in my beanie bag chair watching the first season of Total Drama Island. I'm switching disks now, though. Anyone else like that series or is it just me? Total Drama is my guilty pleasure, but I know probably one or two other people my age that actually enjoy it. Okay...I'll be heading back to my nerd corner now.

How do you have the last episode taped if it hasn't even aired, or do you mean you have the last episode they aired taped?
I've never seen Total Drama, and I have no idea about what it even is. =3

Oopsies! I meant the last episode they aired. ^^; *killed*
Many don't, sadly. It's a silly cartoon, that mocks reality shows like Survivor. It's funny also because they poke fun at teenage stereotypes. Unless you're a purely serious person, it's quite easy to get addicted to. Most people either love or hate it though.

That's true. xD I'm not sure what about the original Buffy movie inspired Joss to create a whole TV show based off it, but I'm glad he did. I remember I bought the movie a long time ago off eBay, thinking it must be awesome, and it was so very 80's (despite it being filmed in '92).
The Walking Dead finale literally ended with a bang, and I was glad Dale and Andrea decided to continue living after all. I really like Dale. He's such a nice older man. I'm not too crazy about Shane though. I knew he was going to try and rape Lori when he was drunk. I wonder when that whole affair is going to be made public, since Rick found out about it way earlier on in the comic.
Re: What are you watching?
Well, at this moment I am watching my screen but if we are talking series I am currently watching Martian Successor Nadesico. I have seen the beginning before but never finished the series so I am excited that I finally get to. So far its even funnier than I remember (I guess I get the jokes better now for some reason). So I am pretty excited about seeing the whole thing.

Re: What are you watching?
Fate, I just finished watching it. I didn't get a chance until today ((er... yesterday?)) to do it.
I'm glad they decided to live, too.
I have no idea how they're going to reveal what happened between Lori and Shane. I'm kind of worried that the whole thing is just going to turn him into a psychopath, and he's going to try to truly kill Rick because of it. I mean, that kind of seems toward what they're leaning, especially a tiny bit earlier in the show when he pointed a gun at him in the woods as if he was going to actually kill him. If Dale hadn't seen him, maybe Rick wouldn't have lasted through all six episodes. ^o_o^
Sunwolf, about what is that show? I've never even heard of it.

Well, a while ago I pulled up a list of popular anime shows and I picked some that I hadn't seen yet and this was on the list. So far it has some typical anime themes like space travel on a ship with robots that go around beating the crap out of the enemy. But to me what makes this show atypical is the large cast of stereotyped characters that are used for comedic effect in many different types of comedy. The plot isn't something that I haven't seen before but the characters are fresh even though they use stereotyped comedy. So far all that has happened is they blasted off to check out a fallen colony on Mars and went through some sort of travel portal thing. Once they got out everything has changed since 8 months have went by since they left. Well, that's my take on it anyway. I probably just made it sound boring but it is pretty funny and serious at the same time.

Doctor Who is awesome! But I'll admit, I'm strictly a 10th Doctor fan - or rather, a Tennant fan. Not fond of the new guy.

Ah. I've become very fond of Matt Smith. David Tennant was great, but he's moved on and Steven Moffat has been brilliant as head writer and executive producer so I'm more than willing to move beyond Tennant's work.

The Lost Boys: The Tribe
It's as vapid as the first movie with just as poor and awkwardly delivered dialogue. But it's definitely eye candy. When I'm not feeling like I wanna slap the actors to make them say their lines like they're not READING from the script, I'm appreciating them for their hotness.
"Dammit! Say that again like you mean it-!!-but gosh, you're pretty..."

The Oxford Murders
Reeeaaallly boring! D: And I have a feeling, I know where this is going...
I'll let ya know if I'm right or not. Elijah Wood has an odd face, but by the mid-point of the film, you get used to it and it grows on you(I always have this problem with every Elijah Wood movie; I get very fascinated by his buggy blue eyes and then get desensitized to it at some point during the film).
EDIT: Okay. I was wrong. But I think this movie was too smart for me. =/ I mean I get the whole conclusion and everything, but it seemed like mostly a vehicle to talk/debate mathematics and logic and philosophy. Whenever they went into those parts, I made sock puppets talk for them.
Professor Puppet: blah blah blah math STUFF blah blah blah and equals THIS!
Elijah Puppet: *gasp!* No way!
It was a much better movie because of the puppets, but I retained nothing of what they were talking about.

- Spoiler:
- Professor Dude: Yes! Brilliant! Please go on and tell me your hypothesis/theories about what the killer is trying to tell us by leaving this trail of bodies!
Elijah Wood's character: Weeeeellllll... okay! If I was the killer, which I'm not, I'd be killing all these people in an attempt to prove your snobby ass wrong with all those logistical mathematical theories you wrote your special book about, just like I did in the beginning part of the movie. But the killer is not me.
Professor dude: ...
EW: ... Okay! He's me! Aren't I a smart boy!? Were you strangely impressed? Are ya gonna write a new book now or have I ruined mathematics and philosophy for you?

Re: What are you watching?
Wonderful movie! Best of the three, if you ask me. (You didn't, but... you know...)
I am watching (the horror) college basketball. K State vs Baylor. I've seen sooo many basketball games since moving in with my gramma. She watches them all day, and if it's not basketball, it's some other sport. That, the news, and soap operas. Fail.

Why does Tom Skerritt seem to always play an alcoholic? This is like the fifth movie I've seen him in where his character has a drinking problem at some point during the film.

Did not expect subtitles. Pretty weird so far, but very interesting. Acting and effects are good.

Little Monsters
I remember being freaked out by this movie as a kid and I can definitely see why now. <3 Howie Mandel though.
EDIT: Okay, so wait...last time the monsters got rid of the lights by shooting out the bulbs with tiny airplane guns. So...when you come back...your solution is: let's cover our BODIES with lightbulbs!
... No, yeah, it makes sense, I suppose...

Moulin Rouge
I got to "0:06:10"(the part in the beginning when he's setting up his type writer and "an unconscious Argentinian man and a dwarf dressed as a nun" burst into his room amidst zany music and quick-edited shots.)
Can't do it. Sorry. Cannot go on. Trailer looked great and was looking forward to dancing and music but the whole tone of "self-aggrandized whimsy" it's setting so far makes me grit my teeth. And Ewan McGregor without facial hair looks like a dork.
