Re: What are you watching?
Supernatural. I started watching it this past November as a joke, intending to make fun of it the entire time, because it felt so campy and stupid. Word of advice: do not do that. Now, after 8 Seasons, 10 Supernatural novels, one John Winchester's Journal and buried up to my neck in fanfiction, I am swallowed by a near-constant concern for "what are Sam and Dean gonna do?" My life has been irrevocably poisoned and all my goals are dead.
...that being said, anyone else here fans? I really need to talk about my feelings about this season because suffering through this hiatus is driving me crazy. Send me a message and we can gush in fangirlish delight and cry in shared misery! It'll be fun!

I haven't seen this latest season, but I really liked it. I'm excited for this season to come out on DVD so I can see it. I've heard it got good again since the original writer came back to the show.

Well, that depends... Season 8 is mostly good? ^^; I'm literally on the verge of buying it all myself... just as soon as I can get my husband to stop threatening to put me in fandom rehab. XD

Re: What are you watching?
Luckily, I don't have a significant other to pester me.
I thought I'd throw in my two cents since I myself am watching Supernatural. I just finished the Bloody Mary episode (I'm that much of a newbie), and thus far, it's enjoyable. I'm a jumper, so it takes a lot of willpower for me to sit through an episode without pausing. But I already predict myself getting too invested.
Problem is, so many good friends are emotionally invested and, as such, I've been spoiled. So that sort of tanks my desire to really get into it. But I'm fighting. Because I love Dean's characterization. I may not be the "fangirl" you're looking for Ten, but I'm as surprised as you were on how good this show seems to be.
Alongside Supernatural, I've finally caught up on Doctor Who! Clara is just an amazing being, whatever it is she ends up being. Are there any other Who fans in the house gushing over the 50th anniversary?

So sad they didn't continue it, cheesy, but good, they did a good job with Cara.Guest wrote:Legend of the Seeker! Surprisingly good first episode. WEEEE!
Re: What are you watching?
I have been watching Madmen, and just watched the first episode of Hemlock Grove, a netflix original.... it's different.
Re: What are you watching?
Yeah, Supernatural is good stuff. It was very "meh" for a while, but this season has started to really bring it back to its roots in my opinion. Nothing could beat the first two or three seasons, though.
Just recently, I got into Game of Thrones. My sis had been bugging me to watch it (she's into the books and show alike) for over a year. I just kind of brushed her off. Finally I decided "what the hell" and tried it out one weekend...
I ended up watching nearly the entire first season in a single day. I had caught up with the show's current point in well under a week via DVDs and online episodes. I'm so addicted and it kinda scares me.

Re: What are you watching?
I started watching Vampire Knight a few nights ago. It's pretty good. All of the high school drama needed to make you feel better about your own life along with many interesting twists, and I'm only on episode 8 of season 1! XD
Also, despite being about vampires, it's pretty original. ^.^ If you like anime and vampires, I highly recommend it. Well, I expect it would be more enjoyable for us women really. Just saying, haha!

Oh my gosh, I love Vampire Knight. Every so often I get a hankering to re-watch it, so I do But yeah, it's pretty original in terms of vampire mythology, and the females do get to enjoy quite a lot of eye candy, hehehe...

I am watching (for the very first time - crazy, I know) Dr. Who. I have resisted till now believing it would be cheesey and geek-ridden. It is, but fun all the same. I started with Christopher Eccleston as my first Doctor.

Re: What are you watching?
I have yet to watch Dr. Who. Though I've been seeing a lot of related images recently.
Just watched the OuaT season finale, and the Survivor finale last night. Now I'm getting caught up on The Voice.
I also finally got season 1 of NCIS so I'm watching that sporadically. =D

Re: What are you watching?
Sometimes character driven stories like that are more interesting than a well planned out movie or series. I sometimes get in the mood for a good character drama and will have to keep this in mind for my next series! Thank you for the recommendation.

Re: What are you watching?
Nikita. Started watching this based on a recommendation from Lexi and I'm really enjoying it. There are times when I feel like it's over the top or a little cheesy but I knew it would be that going in, so, it doesn't break immersion too badly. I never even heard of Shane West before watching him in Salem last year and never even heard of Aaron Stanford until I started watching him in Twelve Monkeys this year, so, it is so weird to go back and watch their earlier work. Otter Eyes is so young! It's hard to believe it's the same guy. And Shane is lovely as the good guy bad guy.

Introducing my wife to Ouran High School Host Club. Which is probably why my go to idea for PW intro was an Academy setting, lol. It's a really funny show on Netflix so I would recommend it!
