Re: The Matrix: Jacked In OOC
I very much fancy what you call the Trickle Effect, Spectre. I think that would be a fantastic way to open up the story and to introduce the characters. So, we will have just a couple/few of us then inside the Matrix during this fight, and then once we jack out, the story will reveal more characters. I think this will also be excellent to prevent confusion from dumping too many characters into the story from the start.
I think that would work out well, RIknas, that you and Hank can join in and introduce your characters shortly after the start, as it seems that is the idea we have going now anyways. :]
I will probably be able to start working on the first post for this tomorrow!

Re: The Matrix: Jacked In OOC
Thanks, Spectre. I'm glad that you're excited! That's always a good thing for role-plays. I've never done a Matrix role-play before, so I'm also really looking forward to doing this and seeing what happens with all our characters.
Re: The Matrix: Jacked In OOC
I'm halfway nervous now to step in anywhere - had an idea for my bodyguards to arrive together (as usual) but I'm worried I might interfere with either (a) what you two have planned or (b) Bastet's introduction? XD
My AIM is Isolde927, and my e-mail macbethswidow@hotmail.com if I'm not on. I'd just like to make sure, before I post.

Re: The Matrix: Jacked In OOC
I can't speak for Spectre, so I'm not sure when he's planning on doing with Bastet, but so far, we don't have anything planned. If your characters were to arrive, I think we could all take out these guys, but hmm. That's really all I have planned for this first part/chapter. xD
Cool, I'll add you. My AIM is w1ngs0fate. I'll try and remember to be on today.
EDIT: Lol sorry, guys, about that OOC comment in our role-play! I just noticed that right now. I thought that I left it in here, but obviously not! I deleted it though.

Re: The Matrix: Jacked In OOC
Okay, time to fill you guys in!
For this battle, my character and Spectre's character will split up once they're on the 5th level of the parking garage, taking on the demons separately. Igraine, if you want to bring in your bodyguards, this would be the time, so then we could split up the fights even more. We can team up on one of them toward the end of this fight. However, we'll leave 1 demon left. The rest, we'll be able to take out, also with the help of Bastet, Spectre's 2nd character. Bastet will be arriving to pick everyone up to return to a Hardline, and they will get in an SUV to escape. Suddnely, that last remaining demon will get in their way, to everyone's surprise, but rather than slowing them down, the SUV will crash into them!

Re: The Matrix: Jacked In OOC
i expected for Bastet to sort of 'save the day' almost. Come in at the last moment and crash into one of the merovingian demons just before everyone's like "Oh Crap.. we still have one...", then everyone can pile in.....
then return them to a Hardline.
thats just what i had in mind. doesn't mean it has to be the way it is.

Re: The Matrix: Jacked In OOC
okies, I'll go back to the drawing board and think of something else, then. My post was more or less a bit of banter between the two in a large vehicle barreling from the 6th floor to the fifth. But I'll come up with another angle, and Bastet can come in and save the day.

Re: The Matrix: Jacked In OOC
I keep getting pulled away from the keyboard with my husband home, so please don't wait on me, Spectre, if you'd like to go ahead with introducing Bastet. I'll catch up with Aiden and Eva as soon as I have a solid introduction in place - just didn't want to hold anyone up.

Re: The Matrix: Jacked In OOC
Sorry you're going to have to rework that, Igraine! So, it's my go then, right? Cool. I'll try and get a post up by tomorrow.
Re: The Matrix: Jacked In OOC
Yuppers, no problem, Fate. That, and I've had a crap ton of stuff come up irl these past two days - I haven't even been able to work on my FOG character. *sigh* Anyhooo... hopefully tomorrow everything will clear up tomorrow or so.

Re: The Matrix: Jacked In OOC
Oh, that's no problem. Trust me, I know how things can go from time to time, lol. Hope you catch a break here soon then though.
Re: The Matrix: Jacked In OOC
well, i'm planning on Bast explaining that she was on the Highway for that big highway chase and got held up in the mess, and traffic. which was why she was late xD
Maybe got involved with some Agents, had to run, got in a firefight, then ended up there... haha.
So, feel free to drop your characters into the back of the Big black SUV [a Dodge Durango] if you want n_n. It's an 8 seater, so they could be in the back, having been firing out the rear window or something... i dno. xD

That sounds like a good idea.
Alright, I'll try and have a post up as soon as possible.

Re: The Matrix: Jacked In OOC
Actually, I just put them on their own motorcycles, throwing in a bit of "I don't know what the heck is going on here - something's off and really wrong" that, I hope, will mesh well enough with whatever mysterious "thing" has Bast spooked.
I apologize for the delay - it shouldn't happen again. A perfect storm of about ten million things happened this past week or so (my husband home, a holiday, crisis with the neighbors, my husband taking my computer for his own use during daylight hours (grrr... ) and so on. *sigh* ) but I should be back on track, and I'm still on AIM, and have my e-mail, if anyone would like to enlighten me on where things might be going?

Re: The Matrix: Jacked In OOC
Thanks for the reply, Igraine, and don't worry about it.
I'm not sure myself what's going to happen next. We actually haven't talked on AIM, but I think we're just playing it by ear.

Re: The Matrix: Jacked In OOC

Re: The Matrix: Jacked In OOC
I've been checking back in on this, and wondering if, somehow, I was supposed to have been posting?
The thing is, neither of my characters actually got in the vehicle - they were supposed to have stayed on their own motorcycles. And the escort to the hardline was, I thought, where they were supposed to be moving next?
I could very well make that happen, if you wanted - but since this already seems to be something planned out (action-wise, at least) I'm just wondering where to not overstep the bounds again, since I'm not the OP?

Re: The Matrix: Jacked In OOC
mm. I didn't think your characters got int, either. I figured it was your post, so i hadn't posted yet. I assumed you guys would ride before or behind the suv to the hardline. I was going to PM Fate about that- hah. Suppose i forgot to.
Anyhow... yeah i'm just waiting for the next post.

Re: The Matrix: Jacked In OOC
o.O And just when I thought this had completely fallen off the radar...
Fate, before I commit back to this with a lengthy post, I'd just like to know if you're going to be able to finish this out? I remember something in another thread [or threads], that your upcoming school schedule is a beast, and that you just haven't - or might not have - as much time as you like to work on RPs, like you wish you could?

Re: The Matrix: Jacked In OOC
Oh wow, yeah, I was beginning to think this had died too.
Hmmm, thanks for asking about that, Igraine. In truth, I'm really not certain. I feel as if I've probably committed to too many role-plays now. It was fine when I was one summer vacation, but now I'm completely consumed with homework. (I'm actually working on typing up something that's due tomorrow at the moment also. XD)
I hate to just abandon this idea or you guys, but what do you think? If some or all of you are okay with moving on for now (and perhaps just coming back to it at a later point in time), then I'd feel much better than just leaving you guys hanging.

Re: The Matrix: Jacked In OOC
Of course Fate - real life always comes first. This is your schooling, it's going to affect, you know, the WHOLE REST OF YOUR LIFE. Just a little important I'm thinking...
So no, I'd have no problem putting this off for a while at all, until you can actually commit some time to it in the future, if you like. Who knows, by then you might even want to change up the whole plot, take it in a different direction?
No matter what, school's more important, so don't feel bad in the least for my part, at all.

Re: The Matrix: Jacked In OOC
Aw, well, when you put it like that... XD <3 Thanks, hun. I appreciate your understanding so much. That's true too, that possibly later on, when I have more time on my hands, I could even come up with an even better plot for us. ^^
Re: The Matrix: Jacked In OOC
i've no qualms with holding off when needed. I myself have been swamped with product training with Oakley company... i had NO idea there was so much to sunglasses and everything else under the sun that Oakley sells.....
Anyhow, yeah. I'll keep my eye on this and the IC thread to see what everyone else seems to be doing. I'm flexible.
