The only thing of note really, is that the only really solid part of Ka'urderen's body is his skull head. His 'arms/hands' are ethereal. Not really there until he's using them, so they aren't overly visiable. But he dosen't have the same body parts as the other liches(I suspect this due to his age, his actual bones have mostly crumbled unto dust and his magic has simply replaced them.)

And...BUZZWULF. IT IS TIME FOR ROBSPIERRE! HE FLIES!

Oh. That kinda changes things. :>
You'd think magic would have preserved the bones, or that he'd replace them with something. Maybe kinda like how there's jewels on his skull?

So what should I say instead of bones? Just, robes? If he can't do physical attacks, can't we just cut him up?

Or wait, you're saying they are there, just a bit transparent?

I guess he did do the invisible choking, though.
Does that mean he can do invisible punching?

The jewels on his skull are decoration. He's mildly vain for a Lich. However, his arms presence as magic dosen't make them any less real. They are just not physical most of the time. Think of it as an imprint of what was there, left behind by the magic. Normally, they're basically just floating arms, but when Ka'urderen moves to use them like actual arms, the magic 'conjours' the force of what was there. His strikes still hit(with all the fury of an undead as expect) he can still very well grab things, and when they are physical, they are very much touchable, just practically invisible. Romeus was able to move the hand slightly to allow him to breath.

Also, cutting him up dosen't do you any good. He's a Lich. Hacking the physical shell apart just makes your life impossibly difficult. He'll just bounce into another host(he dosen't really need much), and continue fighting you.

Robe works fine as a good indicator, and I suppose more magically tuned people might even see the imprints of his arm left in the magic.

There. I made it so the Light in their armor reacts a bit with the energy, making his ethereal/physical limbs slightly visible. Light illuminates stuff, so I figure it makes sense. ^^ This way I don't have to change the fight much. And, now Romeus can see what's going on, too.

IT'S THE FINAL SHOWDOWN.

Not. Nope, it's not a retreat for Ka'urderen, really. The light guys are actually supposed to retreat into the walls after the battle wears on a bit, because...well, they can't beat an entire country worth of ghouls.

However, after my latest post, Ka'urderen will have taxed his sizable magical stamina considerably(considering he busted out one of his BIG shadow spells, and is showing off one hell of a reanimation/mutilation in my upcoming post.) so he's going to retire from the field, leaving the battlefield to his new pretty and the other liches.

Once he peaces, you're free to either peace back to the city(as we will have to eventually) or you can fight Robspierre, and try to slay him. This wasn't meant to be a massive victory, or even a victory at all(since I'm expecting some vicious causalities for charging the ghouls on open ground. But that's Dax's call.) for the light, just the means to receive the information that gets the main plot for Sretin(the hunt for Ka'urderen's soul stone/kyrpt) rolling.

So...run away!

Let's have Dax do some awesome Three-on-One, during the midst of which we can have to abandon the fight to Save the Comrades So We Don't All Die. xD

Well...my post is done, so Dax can epic Three VS OH SWEET GOD Robspierre. He can live or die, although if he survives, I suspect I shall make use of him as a reoccuring enemy for the journey into the infested lands(which would be kinda cool, you have to admit. An unrelenting beast, constantly hunting you down, ignorant of pain. Fun times!)

Yea, a lot happened since we last made the plan, and I haven't caught up yet. But I don't mind rolling with the punches. I've got a lot of reading to do that I have not started so...yea. I've got to read it all and figure out where we should be.

Though our original plan was to run off, we may be better off sticking with the group because we can all interact more easily, and we don't have to wait *cough* four months for a new post

That's not just combat, as I left about half of them in the city, so if Ryona or Lady need to control them, please do. Straight from my War Plan document (I should really work on it more, but at this point, ad-libbing the battle plans to function within the plot is soooo much easier.)


Phase One AKA “Balls. Zombies.”
Aprox Completion Time: 6 months to 1 year
Sretin has been destroyed and it’s general population slaughtered and transformed into a tide of ghouls that stalk and destroy the living where-ever they are found. The Grand Lich, Ka’urderen, has his focus on Zin, intent on eradicating it from existence and consuming the last of the Breale and fuel his horde to even greater sizes. Zin, fortified by the local Vatienne Regiment under the command of one Romeus Dallaire, is providing more resistance than expected. In an attempt to undermine their defenses, Ghouls are ordered to tunnel into the cliff sides of Zin, attempting to access the tunnels of the sewers and swarm up into the city proper.

One such tunnel shall reach the sewers well before the others, and small numbers of ghouls shall take up residence inside, along with a single lich. As citizens begin to disappear, very randomly, but frequent enough to cause concern, the Vatienne soldiers will conduct a sweep of the city. In luck, they might spot the fresh kill of a ghoul, and perhaps the ghoul itself, before it retreats off into the sewers. Despite the danger, numerous squads are sent into the sewers in an attempt to destroy the small ghoul population before it can grow into a tidally unstoppable force. Paladins MAY be involved in this phase. A small stroke of luck finds them the lich, and before it can escape, they managed to destroy the monster, only to find the completed tunnel.


It becomes clear that to truly survive the seige, a small offensive is necessary. A small team, consisting of Vatienne soldiers and Thendari Paladins will slip out through the walls under cover of nightfall(or perhaps daytime, it might be better during the day.) with the intent of cutting off the head of the snake. They travel across the destroyed lands of Sretin to Cambridge, wherein the find the crypt of the Grand Lich. He falls quickly, and Alphonse’s girlfriend/courting lady is discovered alive and in good health. Unbeknownst to the group, she functions as the Lich’s soul container.

Leaving the crypt, the ghoul presence has immediately dropped, and their encounters as they return to Zin are next to nothing.

Restored to life, Ka’urderen uses this as the perfect moment to mobilize his great horde south, the tide vanishing during the day, only to sweep up the coast during the night hours. As the horde enters the wetlands and swamps of northern Vatienne, it disperses and vanishes into the waters.

The Lich waits for the signal to strike against the unsuspecting nation.

As far as I know? It's sitting on the beach! And will remain there until something does something to it, or the tide tosses it to sea.

I believe that you were going to leave before us, to try and find her brother(whom went with Nyana's caravan) and Alphonse would notice the absence of the Strange Missionary...and then we run into each other as we quest EPICURUSLY TO CAMBRIDGE.

Ok, massive Sretin post that wrapped up the fighting posted. I didn't mention how or when any of your characters (except the mercenary leader) got back, so you guys can have fun with that. XD

Also, Plague, your single undead gryphon almost killed the two other riders.

Now, do we still want the sewer raid to still eventually happen? Or is that un-neccessary now?

Sretin is moving fast...but, since I suck at math, can anyone figure out roughly how long it should take them to reach Cambridge? Cause we should probably come up with some mini-subplots to take place during the journey so this dosen't conclude really quickly. And of course, Robspierre will be the great harassing hellion that dogs us the entire journey, a reoccuring foe to test our mettle.

It will take 10 days to reach Candridge. So we can have subplots that we can think of.
