Re: The Celebration Thread :D
I have an interview tonight at 5:30. This is only my 4th interview since I started applying for jobs around April or so, so I've been looking/applying for around 4 months now. xD I've applied for over 100 jobs so far, so it's been quite a headache. For some reason, I never got any call-backs for my 3 previous interviews (one for a dog trainer at PetSmart, the other for a veterinary receptionist, and the third to be a vet assistant and cleaner). So, I'm hoping that this 4th time will magically be a charm.
I'm interviewing for a sushi hostess job at a place in St. Charles, IL (one of my favorite towns that I INSTANTLY fell in love with when my boyfriend and I drove through it) called Sushi Yama. It pays $10 an hour, which is still more than the previous places I've interviewed, so that's nice at least, and it shouldn't be too difficult being a hostess, showing people to their tables and taking reservations and such. I think I'd really like it, plus I'm an avid sushi fan. I hope the interview goes well!

Fate, I really hope you can get that job. I think that job could be a really good one until you can get one that actually associates with your schooling. =3

Re: The Celebration Thread :D
Miss Dagger, Kathryn -- Thank you so much! I appreciate it. :] I actually haven't been wanting to do art now for the past couple of months for a real job. Pretty much ever since my boyfriend, his friend, and I started working on making a comic book together, I realized I couldn't stand sitting and drawing for long periods of time, and I really only just wanted to draw stuff for myself and occasionally others and not on a frequent basis. So, I keep saying I got the worst degree I could, since not only is it impossible to find a job related to my field around here, but now I don't even want to do anything with it. I may go back to school someday to get an associate's degree in something, once I fully decide on what I'd like to do. Perhaps web design. My friend just graduated with a motion graphics degree and is now going back to school to get a web design degree, and he's offered to teach me a lot, so I may just try that.
However, in the meantime...good news! I got the job! I'm starting off only working part-time, but he said the hours will increase, so I'm just working 3 days a week, Tuesday through Thursday, and I start next week! ^^

Re: The Celebration Thread :D
Well, at least your schooling wasn't a waste. I'm sure you've learned all sorts of things you wouldn't have known before taking classes on it and such.
Web design could be helpful, and you may even enjoy it. I think it's cool that you have a friend willing to give you tips and such.
I'm really happy for you! I'm glad you got the job. That's a pretty decent hourly wage even for just three days a week.

Re: The Celebration Thread :D
Yeah, I suppose that is true. If I hadn't have gone to the school I did, I would never have met my boyfriend or all the friends I have now too. Thanks, Kathryn.
Thank you! Yeah, I was hoping to make around $10 an hour, so that was great. I hope I like it!

I'm sure you'll love it until your feet and back start hurting a bunch... Unless you get to sit a lot during your shifts, you should be sure to buy comfortable shoes!

Congratulations Fate!
Although I'd warn against webdesign. It might be cool (I've gone a course in it), but so does a lot of people think. I've heard it's getting to be too many webdesigners, if one wants to make a living at it. Of course, I could be misinformed. ^^
And congratulations Ryona! Crossing my fingers for you too.

Fate, I'm so glad you got the job! I know you've been looking really hard, so it's great to see all your work pay off! Best of luck on your interview, Ryona!
I celebrate that things are finally starting to fall in place for grad school. I felt really overwhelmed after moving in yesterday and having to run around getting stuff at the last minute. Plus, it's a new city, so I'm still getting to know the place. I called my crush last night after I got in, and he helped talk me through it and reassure me. *sigh* I sure do miss that boy... I also met the other first-year students at our first orientation meeting today, I have groceries, I can navigate better, and...finally...my dorm room is COMPLETE!

After half an hour of trying to get my A Level results, I finally went onto UCAS Track and learned that I have an unconditional offer (i.e a place) at Nottingham Trent University to study Physics with Forensic Applications (which is a change from Biomedical Physics). I am completely over the moon about this

Re: The Celebration Thread :D
Another morning waking up next to Loki. Everything here, in his home, with him, so far from my own place is so perfect. I mean, I guess at my home I feel more like things are just good, but here they are great. I told Loki this morning that when I wake up next to him, seeing his body in the sheets, it was like having woke up to find an angel in bed with me. I told him that seeing him in the mornings when I rise from sleep is like finding something so fantastically fictional at my side. That a lot of times that is why I gently run my fingers over his side, run my touch against his shoulders and kiss tenderly at the nape of his neck. Because sometimes I feel the need to verify his existence, because he is so wonderful, beautiful, and amazing.
Loki is by far the most compassionate, loving, and beautiful human being I've ever met, far less loved. Being with him really is like being thrust into a tale of romantic fiction, because he is everything I could've asked for and more.
<3 It seems like every day I fall in love with him that much more. Never once has he insulted my appearance or size, while most, if not all men, I've ever been with have at least once. He never fights with me, never fusses or argues about the way I am. He doesn't complain that I'm too quiet or too talkative at times. To him I guess I'm just the right combination, or at least I hope so. When we game, he doesn't complain to me about how hard I fail sometimes. It's as if he understands I'm a total noob with the Xbox 360.
Everything is so surreal FOG.
Am I dreaming? If so, please, please never let me wake up from this dream.

You're going to make me swoon from all this romance talk, Eternity *dreamy sigh*. I think you've pretty much described every hopeless romantic's dream come true. I'm so happy for you! Based on some of your earlier posts in other threads, it sounds like you're way overdue for someone who treats you with the respect and care that you deserve. So no, you're not dreaming. It's all real, so enjoy it to the fullest!

Congrats Silvan!
@Moria: That is not to say I don't tease her when she fails to the point of shooting my character with a shotgun when she planned to simply shove him. Or when she ignites all of our gathered gas cans when we nearly had all we needed. Such things cannot go unteased.

Of course not Loki! I would get mad if that even happened to me in real life (especially the bit about the shotgun!). But I mean, not yelling is a very patient unique act!
I guess I celebrate finishing my edited short story a while back :O

I celebrate BAND CAMP FINALLY WINDING DOWN!
I also celebrate memorizing almost all of my music in less than a week, regaining my chops so I can actually play my trumpet for hours at a time, meeting a ton of awesome new band members, getting to be good friends already with some of the coolest ones, and finally having time to relax longer than it takes to eat lunch and rush back to practice. =D
Oooh and I celebrate the fact that we're doing a Journey show this year AND that the drill for Don't Stop Believing is the COOLEST THING EVER!
Oh, and gummy worms. I celebrate those too. Mmm.

Congrats, Dagger! I recently got my 5th one and became a Ghost, so I'm enjoying having all my little ghosty minions floating about
I celebrate getting to talk to my crush yesterday and today. I hadn't talked to him since Monday, so it was great getting to catch up. Even at a distance, talking and joking with him feels so natural, almost effortless. I absolutely love it ^_^. We're still talking about him coming to visit me at some point in the (hopefully) not-too-distant future, so I'm hoping and praying that we can make that work! And, you know, that we become more than friends... Still keeping my fingers crossed for that...

Re: The Celebration Thread :D
Congrats Silvan, I know that feeling and it's a great one <3
Talking about great feelings...
Everything's going without a hitch. Studying for everything and getting ready to apply for BGSU. And... And I can't stop smiling. Everything seems to be falling into place, and that makes me think it's right. I'm so happy to know that soon I'll be living near/with Loki, and then I'll be going to college. Is life suddenly becoming perfect for me or what?

I'm so glad things are going well for you, Eternity, and that you'll be reunited with Loki soon. And Gunneh, that's absolutely fantastic about your friend! I'm sure you'll do great as the best man.
Attie, that picture about made me fall out of my chair laughing
I celebrate that I taught my first undergrad biology lab last night, and it went quite well, all things considered. I now have a better idea of what I need to work on for Wednesday's section and how to improve overall for next week. Overall, I think I got a good group of students and they seemed to learn things pretty quickly. And get this: they actually respected my authority in the classroom and LISTENED! Wow... I was prepared for all heck to break loose and them to just go crazy, but they were good! *throws gold stars in the air like confetti*

You teach biology? I celebrate that I love you for that! Lol, I love three things. English. Art. The science of life, disease/bacteriology, and widespread astronomy. Okay, more than three things unless you just see English, Art, and Science!
And thank you by the way :3
P.S.: Gunneh as a best man, all dolled up too? Must see pictures, it'll be too adorable!
