Please correct me if I have made mistakes. Also, remember that Chapter 1 should, for all players, span across game time of one month. That means, no more than one month may pass while you are travelling or whatever it is you are doing. If you have plans that don't start for a while, assume that to be chapter 2. If we get to one month and find we need more time, we will then expand our time limit. This is just to avoid people getting too far ahead of others.

I never posted what my character would be doing when she leaves the council area. Will that be fine for when she leaves (both that thread and to the land she eventually journeys to)?

Not everyone has announced IC what they are doing. Silvone explained on the last page:

You don't technically have write out going to the council room to speak with Salia to tell her where you are going. As long as everyone is clear on where you are going (as in you posted it in the OOC), then you can just reference it as it has already happened. That way you can get on with your story if that is what you prefer. You can also do it the other way around, if you wish. It is entirely up to you. But, for the sake of constintency, please at least mention somewhere in you post that you have spoken with her.

So, as you begin chapter 1, just reference speaking to Salia about where you decided to go. Everyone will do the same.

Hm. I'm getting a little confused by this chapter equals a month plan we've got going...

It seems like it'll make alot of threads, really quickly...and do we have to stop a chapter and wait for everyone to get to the same chapter before we can continue?

After 30 days you don't have to create a new thread if you don't need one, We just need a point to check in and make sure that everyone realizes what is going on.

So, instead of making a chapter two seperate thread, just change the thread title to Chapter Two: Such and Such Place, and make a post that functions as sort of a Summary of Events for that Month?

Or perhaps Chapter 1: X place will end up being two months long while Chapter 1: Y place ends up being only one month long.

Do you think that would work?

And I think we will have Summaries at the end of each month, so that others wont have to read everything in separate threads unless they want to. Perhaps Silvone and I can recycle the worldbuilding thread and use it for the summaries. They won't be very frequent.

That is just too vage. Important things can happen infrequently, if at all, or they can happen all the time. And a good stopping point varies per person. It is better to have something more solid. I'm find chaning things, if no one likes the idea of thirty days, but just going by events isn't really going to work.

However, we can just do away with the system if you want and just make is so that any events that have an effect wider than your own nation require permission from everyone else...but I just see this method spawning arguments. If we do it this way, then we can organize the chapters by events. But I would need everyone willing to participate to a large degree on this, perhaps more than we have so far....

This part kinda needs a big discussion, cause some people post far faster than everyone else, and some people have nothing to do until certain events wrap up so that other events can begin...

It'll be tricky finding a system that can work for everyone...

I understand. As long as we try and make sure the breaks aren't at awkward times, I think the monthly thing will be fine.

It is very tricky, but the monthly (game play month) check ins seem the best way to do it. At check in time, when we do our summaries, and we see how far behind/ahead people are, we can make a decision on how to continue. We should plan not to rush things, take time for side stories, mini-plots, etc. In the end, a long way away, we will probably end up in one massive RP again. But lets not rush on that.

Personally I like the idea of months being set as the checkin times where we summarize events and such so that we can get an idea as to where everyone is in their separate stories and such, versus chapters ending after a month.

Maybe chapters could be divided up by a world-wide event or something? Or even the chapters on certain continents could be divided by continent wide events.

Just throwing a few ideas out.

Those are good suggestions. I think the best thing to do is get started knowing that you need time stamps, and when we start to get to day 31 then we will see where everyone is, how much has been written/accomplished, and what the best mode of action would be (new chapters, same chapters, stopping by event, etc).

It is hard to make a decision now when we don't know what day 31 will be like.

Question - I thought it was clear to me, but the past few posts confused. Are we talking about a month of in-game time or actual time? I still think it's the former, but just making sure

Here, however, comes a second question. If we're going to time-stamp the posts and all that, we're going to need a pretty clear idea on distance covered and speed. I remember that there was talk of this before, but can't for the life of me remember what we decided. So yeah, do we have any thoughts on that?

Question 1: In game time.

Question 2: There is a scale on the map and travel information in the Maps section of the Information thread. It was taken from Stion Gyas in Sephiris and only slightly altered. We gave permission for non-human races to slightly alter their numbers *on foot, but not by much. For clarity sake, we may want to figure out the exact numbers for non-human races. But I am fine trusting that no one will take advantage and try and double the numbers or something.

*Edit: No altering caravan or horseback numbers. I gave a good amount of range for variation of horse breeds.

Edit 2: Loki I added you to Renrjira Krin. Bird of Hermes, once you decide where to go I believe we may get started.

Also, I might make a Breale character travelling out of Sretin, if anyone wants to work with me on that.
