Re: Emoria: OOC
So, in hopes of not letting this stagnate...if no one claims to post by, saturday evening, then I'm gonna go ahead and make a post so Deadeye can. It won't be a contributing post to the council, just freeing Deadeye up.

Dunno. But I won't be posting for a while. Spent 10 hours studying for a midterm and not even halfway done. Needless to say, I'll be out for a while.

Re: Emoria: OOC
From my notice of departure:
As for all of Emoria...I am REALLY sorry. But the fact is, you don't need me anymore It has become a self-sufficient group that really doesn't need a leader, which is what I wanted from the beginning. Ryona may stick around for a while, though she is under more pressure than me... But if both of us end up leaving, I fully expect Emoria to be able to continue, so long as that is what everyone wants. There is no reason it can't continue. There are three moderators in that role-play who can handle any arguments that crop up. The rest of it is collaborative effort. So, once again, I'm sorry...and good luck!
Oh! I would recommend doing some active recruiting for this role-play to fill in the empty spots. And I can send someone the map of the other continent if you like. And by active recruiting, I mean messaging some new (or old) members here to see if they are interested. I know that new members tend to shy away from pre-established role-plays, especially on the scale of Emoria, so it would be extremely useful to actually go to them. Emoria still has a lot of active members, but it certainly thrives on diversity.

Re: Emoria: OOC
Well this is a bit unexpected.
We need new GMs I suppose if they both leave, I believe there was an old saying "A comity is the only form of mammalian life with more than 4 limbs and no brain. "
Any one have nominations?

Re: Emoria: OOC
I won't nominate myself(as that would be rude), but I will say that I'll be more than happy to help keep things running smoothly here, until either new GMs are chosen, or we figure out some other solution.
Re: Emoria: OOC
I'm not gone yet...
Just a short hiatus until my midterm on wednesday is completed.

We know Ryona, but with your work load, it wouldn't be very of us to just ditch all of the GM duties on you. Another person could help with all the rubbish you'll have to deal with.

Re: Emoria: OOC
I wasn't trying to suggest that we get rid of you Ryona, I'm sorry if it came across that way, it really wasn't my intention at all.
And I do agree with Plague, it would be rude of us to dump all the duties on you, specially with you being busy and stuff.
Again, I'm sorry if it seemed like I was trying to get rid of you.

I can help you GM, if you need someone. I don't want to put all the pressure on you. So, if you need my help, I will be more than happy to assist you in any way I can.

Re: Emoria: OOC
I've GMed a couple RPs, and I like to think I was pretty good, but I just rejoined FOG myself, so I don't really think I'm up for it at this point. Instead, how about Kathryn? She seems to pretty much be the one that we all go to for advice, balancing of factions, and histories, and she pretty much initiated the whole RP, if I remember correctly. She's way further into this thing than any of us are, I believe. That, and she seems quite well acquainted with literature. I mean, if we don't want to dump the whole work load on Ryona, it seems like Kathryn would pretty much be the way to go, at least for me. She hasn't really posted in a while, though, so I guess this just means that if she offers up he candidacy, I'm throwing my vote behind her.

I do not wish to nominate myself but I do offer my services, after all as the big bad in the thread and in many threads before here and on other sites I do have some knowledge of how to run things.

Re: Emoria: OOC
That... or we can do something very simple.
The moderators help out with arguements or anything that breaks out, and if someone wants to adopt something, just hold a simple vote (must obviously be approved by the moderators and can be held by PMs, poll thread or just in the forums) and get either a simple majority, a 2/3 vote or , since we have 13 members until further notice, 10/13 votes... or any scale, it really doesn't matter. A GM for smaller RPs make sense, but for one with, like I said, 13 people requires a bit of democracy with the Moderators acting as the voice of reason.
What do you think?

Re: Emoria: OOC
Personally, I think we just need to pick a second GM. The voting and all that would be nice, but it could get rather lop-sided sometimes, due to the fact that there is a distinct difference in the sizes of the forces of 'good' and 'evil'. Not trying to say they would, but the possiblity is there because of the way the world has been built.
That's my two cents. I'm going to get working on a post so there is still an RP to have to govern/vote for.

Wtf! Silvone! Damn it! :/
I'm still playing, but this sucks. I don't care what everyone decides. Personally, I like leaving it to the actual mods.
Ps- Ryona... If you leave for good... I'll kill myself!

Re: Emoria: OOC
Before we get ahead of ourselves, please remember that Ryona is still here with us and is still our GM. We won't be making any decisions without her approval.
That being said, let's not get too worked up over this just yet. We can wait and see what she wants to do. I trust that whatever decision she makes will be the best for Emoria.

Re: Emoria: OOC
I had forgotten about what Hello Danger and I had planned for our characters...and I can't bring myself to just abandon him like that. There is a possibility I will come back to FOG infrequently over the next few months to continue with this as I can (it may be more frequently than I am imagining). I won't be retaining control or anything, I was just really looking forward to mine and Hello Dangers plotline, and it seems he was too. If things turn out not to be as bad as I'm thinking, I may come back completely. Only time will tell....
Just wanted to let you know not to kill off my character or anything. If there is anything worth slacking off for in RL, it is this

Re: Emoria: OOC
Please post, HD.
I'd rather just GM on my own than nominate a new GM right now. Honestly, I was mostly doing it on my own anyway, and Silvone would speak up when you guys don't listen to me. However, I don't think it is necessary to nominate anyone else right now. Especially since Silvone may be posting in Emoria and Sephiris. (He may be gone, but he is NOT FINISHED!)
If it comes time for me to leave, I will choose a person or persons to take my place.

Alright, Ryona sounds like a good plan. Personally I think you're doing a fine job, and I hope that you stay with us for good!
Re: Emoria: OOC
Expect a post today/tonight. I have an hour lunch today at work, so I'll get most of it done then if not all of it!

Re: Emoria: OOC
If worse comes to worst (which is looking less likely the more we talk about it), then I too would nominate Kathryn, if she's up for it.
Failing that, Hermes, Shadow any myself can probably act as a sort of council -- some odd combination of moderator-mediator-GM's, in charge of keeping the Info thread updated and performing functions like starting new RP threads and managing timeskips and other technical aspects of the project.
I guess it's good to have contingency plans, just in case.

Re: Emoria: OOC
So, this dosen't really pertain to our current gm and what-not whosits. Mostly, me and Raptor(as we really sum up all of the 'evil' nations in Emoria) are going to have our own sort of...well, Evil version of the council, I suppose.
Would everyone prefer if we did this in a seperate thread? Or..?

Re: Emoria: OOC
I'm pretty sure the pirating clans are pretty evil, too. The Erlingsson Clan (Boyd's clan) is a little out of the loop with the other two pirating clans. Lord's Mosonn and Neess aren't very fond of Lady Voras (mostly due to her method in obtaining her position, and her being a female) so it would make sense if they were at any kind of "Council of Evil" without informing her. If the pirating clans wouldn't be invited then that’s fine, too. Just saying.

Re: Emoria: OOC
Hm...
I suppose making a seperate thread with appropriate title would be most appropriate. If you would please, wait for me to discuss with Silvone, and this will give time for others to give their opinions. I will get back to both you and Raptor via PM by thursday. Sound good?

Lairelosse wants to come too. Not because she want to participate... she's just curious. And has nothing else to do besides light her room on fire.

Re: Emoria: OOC
Sorry I haven't seemed to have been around for a while. FoG didn't deliver the notification of the new posts of this thread to my email, and I heavily rely on those notifications.
Anyway, I'm glad to hear that even Ryona and Silvone are still involved in the game for now. I trust that if they leave, they'll present options that may occur with their characters and the nations from which said characters hail ((or is it hale? Did I even use this word correctly? I'm completely open to correction on this one.)).
Also, in the event that Ryona and Silvone both feel the need to leave - which I hope doesn't happen for a while if it must happen - then I wouldn't mind becoming a GM if Ryona and Silvone wish it of me. I just wouldn't want to have to be the only GM because this role play is huge. I've participated in larger games, but even those had at least three GM's, not one.
Anyway, concerning the game itself, I would like to know how many people are left to speak about their kidnapped leaders. Does anyone know?

Deadeye has one. He's the only one aside from you that I can think of...
Also, I'm gonna try and make a post tonight. My creative drives have been low lately, which is the only reason I haven't already posted.
