MF - November, 2009
Definition of Monthly Features
Each month, FOG highlights certain aspects of the community to put them in the spotlight for a bit of recognition. Everyone, including the staff (minus the Admins) are qualified to be chosen for one of these monthly accentuations. Each monthly feature will be decided upon and determined by the Administrators based on credentials they feel are fair. Those which they feel are deserving will be announced here every month. Monthly features will be announced toward the beginning of each month.
There are multiple categories which will have a feature every month. They include:
(Role-plays in which an Admin is involved can still be accepted as features, so long as the role-play was not created by an Admin.)
This Month's Features
A very big congratulations to this month's monthly features! Your work and contribution to the community, we feel, is worthy of recognition.
Art and Design:
This month's Art and Design feature goes to Teph for her "Teph's Art!"
Teph has some lovely-looking traditionally drawn people that she's shared here with us. She does some very cute "girly men," as she calls them. :] Teph's style is very enjoyable and fun. Keep up the great work, and thanks for sharing!
Writing and Journalism:
This month's Writing and Journalism feature goes to...Kædai for his "The Poetry of Kædai" written works!
The beat, rhythm, and rhyming of Kædai's poetry is really quite wonderful! He clearly has a knack for writing poetry, which could also easily become lyrics to a song. Not only are his poems entertaining and enjoyable to read, but they also reveal little bits of stories that pull you in. Lovely work!
Role-Playing:
This month's Role-Playing feature goes to...Misery for his "Avatar: The Last Airbender - A Song of Fire and Ice" role-play!
This role-play is terribly interesting, and if you are an Avatar fan, this is one role-play you just want to set aside some time for to read! Simply the amount of detail is just remarkable, and the entire thing seems to play out perfectly. This is a one-on-one role-play with Kathryn Lacey, and the two of them work incredibly well together in writing this role-play that is still in progress today.
Member of the Month:
This month's Member of the Month goes to...Sighlent!
A beloved FOG member, Sighlent is the sweet and funny girl known by almost everyone! Sighlent certainly is a huge part of our community, and she has been here since almost the beginning. When it comes to Sighlent, everyone that knows her instantly loves here! :]
Let's hear it for November's features!

Well as lovely as that sounds Inerio I'd rather not have to see Silvone in a speedo - we'll leave THAT to Ryona! XD

Re: MF - November, 2009
Congratulations to all of our Monthly Features!
Each one is a well-deserved spotlight. I regret that I only now looked into a couple of those threads, since my time has been quite restricted lately, but it isn't hard to see that each featured member and/or thread deserves its moment of stardom.
Thank you all for serving as excellent examples of what FOG is all about. Beautiful artwork, inspiring verses, exceptional prose and members who are always there to make you smile; I couldn't summarize this community any better if I tried.

Re: MF - November, 2009
A MotM calendar wouldn't have to consist of the members in bathing suits. I think it would make far more sense for the calendar to show each person with their unique personality as the picture instead. I -do- think it's a pretty rad idea, though.
Congratulations everyone! When I first showed Misery that our role play had made it, he's like, "Damn... I thought I'd made it under the radar." but he's not upset. He was only joking. I'm actually surprised you read through it considering that some people think I have "walloftextitus," and if I have that, Misery has something far more serious. XD

I know it's very late, but congratulations to everyone!
Especially to you Kathryn, and you too Misery. I absolutely love reading your roleplay, and I've been following it for awhile now. The way you play the characters is extremely believable and not a lot of people can pull that off. It also helps that I'm a Zuko/Katara fan. It just keeps getting better and better!

Awww. Thank you, ImmortalSin. I really appreciate your praise. Misery and I are big Zutara fans, too ((in case it wasn't immensely obvious)). He's really the brains behind the role play, though. He's the one who's coming up with all of the twists and turns. He never tells me what he has planned because he likes to surprise me, but I always love what he produces in his posts. ^^_^^
