Definition of Monthly Features

---

Each month, FOG highlights certain aspects of the community to put them in the spotlight for a bit of recognition. Everyone, including the staff (minus the Admins) are qualified to be chosen for one of these monthly accentuations. Each monthly feature will be decided upon and determined by the Administrators based on credentials they feel are fair. Those which they feel are deserving will be announced here every month. Monthly features will be announced toward the beginning of each month.

There are multiple categories which will have a feature every month. They include:

• a Gallery feature
  
• an Art and Design feature
  
• a Writing and Journalism feature
  
• a role-playing feature
  
• a member of the month
  

(Role-plays in which an Admin is involved can still be accepted as features, so long as the role-play was not created by an Admin.)

A very big congratulations to this month's monthly features! Your work and contribution to the community, we feel, is worthy of recognition.

Gallery:
This month's Gallery feature goes to...Kathryn Lacey for her "8.10.07" upload!
Kathryn's album is definitely a great one to check out, with a mix of personal photos and artistic ones. This upload stood out to us, and the editing really made it pop. Thanks for sharing!

Art and Design:
This month's Art and Design feature goes to...Anaris for her "Anaris's Photoshop Works" signature banners!
Anaris' signatures are pretty, sweet, and lovely, and they each are unique. She clearly knows different Photoshop effects and is excellent at setting the mood for each of her banners. Very beautiful work!

Writing and Journalism:
This month's Writing and Journalism feature goes to...Traziel for his "Traz's Poetic Works" poetry!
It's rare to find skilled poets these days, but Traziel has some very heartfelt, emotional, and breathtaking poetry displayed in his thread. (My personal favorite was "Affection in the Hospital.") Traziel is no stranger to a bit of humor in his poetry as well. Each poem is like a short glimpse into a world where you can discover a different story with different emotions each time. Well done, Traziel!

Role-Playing:
This month's Role-Playing feature goes to...Elric Gharial for his "Second Sunrise Over Lost Vegas" role-play!
The role-players included in this are Elric Gharial, Eternity, The Mighty Fluffball, and Twoface_ecafowT. Simply reading the OOC thread with the background information on this is enough to show you how intriguing and original this story idea is. It's a captivating tale about crime lord, Street Samurai, an Undercity with gangs, Juicers, freaks, Cyber Ninjas, and Splicers, along with the Four Horseman and the Seven Deadlies. The role-playing is excellent and compelling. This idea was very unique, and you must read it for yourself to discover what happens!

Member of the Month:
This month's Member of the Month goes to...Kathryn Lacey!
Kathryn has been actively involved throughout the community, from the various OOC boards to the role-playing ones. She shows a genuine interest in the members themselves, and is wonderful about replying to everyone inside the different threads. I'm sure most can agree that Kathryn has been a major part of FOG since very early on and has become a wonderful part of the community. She is a straightforward individual that is always exciting, interesting, and a joy to talk to!

OMG! Jonathan actually told me I was Member of the Month before I found out myself. He saw it while he was scoping out the Avatar interest thread, I think. The rank is soooo freaking adorable! ^*_*^ I may have to stalk the next members of the month, just to stare at their modified rank. For now, I'll just stalk myself.

Hehe! Tony thought the Member of the Month ghosts looked like Pac Man too. :3 That's cool that Jonathan noticed that right away here! ^.^

And yes - a big congratulations to everybody! It's certainly not easy for us to choose here what to feature. We certainly have a large collection of so many talented people!
