Plague is interested in filling the role of the primary antagonist of this RP, Lord Udonis. He has been informed of the key events that will need to be followed for the sake of the story line. I figured that having another member running this character would do the same as having Digi run the Goddess by adding a new level of realism and personality to the character.

As long as there are no objections with you all, I would like to offer him this role.

Sounds good to me! I've role-played with Plague before, and he has a great writing style. Plus, he's Plague, so he would be perfect to play a villain

I have no problem with adding another to our ranks but I have a couple reasonable conditions. Please excuse my eccentricities but it is a rare opportunity that a writer jumps in an RP that is this far developed. Your recommendations (Loki, SilvanArrow, and Digital Muse) is enough to tell me that he is a great writer so that is not the cause of my conditions. I would like to know what he thinks of the RP thus far and following are my two conditions.

1. Once he reads through the story I would like to know what he thinks of the RP story thus far.

2. Who his favorite character in the story is (exclude his) and tell us why.

I fell it reasonable that we feel he has read through all the work we have posted thus far and his assessment of it. And speaking of work I have been doing some on my upcoming post. Enclosed in the spoiler tag is what I have thus far if you want a sneak peek.

I don't have it done yet but I feel it important that you all know I am actually working on it even if life gets in the way sometimes. I plan on finishing it tomorrow sometime. We'll see how that goes but I am sure more work will get done to the post tomorrow.

I think it's perfectly reasonable to expect a new player to read through the RP and get caught up on everything that has happened. Otherwise he would be writing blindly without any context. I'm also intrigued to see what his favorite character would be. We have such a diverse cast that I certainly would find it difficult.

In addition, I would hope that he would be just as committed to finishing this RP as we are, even though he's coming in later while we've been with this story for so long. I know we've all been in the boat at some point where a great RP dies because one or two people just drop off the face of the earth and never post. From what I've seen of Plague's writing and Loki's recommendation, I feel good about him joining. But I just thought I should put that out in the open.

I also agree anyone new (especially an Antagonist) should know the story.

But, asking him to pick a favorite character? That's putting a lot of pressure on someone and may cause some hurt feelings (however unintentional).

An opinion on the overall story or some ideas for the continuing saga might be nice, though.

Nice post, SunWolf! I love the delayed use of Owens ball lightening. This is awesome! I can't wait to see what happens now that time has been reversed.

OK. I think I should throw up some notes on how Owen manipulates time thus far. At this time he can only do it around a single body so for example he regressed his body 3 hours before it was injured and the rest of time is normal. He isn't powerful enough to effect anything but a single body yet. He regresses time to heal himself or other people (when he figures out he is now a time manipulator since so far most of his new abilities work on a subliminal level). The whole pocket watch thing was to prove to Owen in the next post that he is truly a time manipulator instead of a regenerator plus the fact he only gained one ability instead of two. So yeah every character saw the fight and how Owen cured himself (subconsciously) and in the next post he is going to confess his past to his newfound friends. Just thought I would clear things up in case there was any confusion.

Thanks for the notes, Sunwolf! That clarifies a lot of things about Owen's powers. I have a post started, but I'll finish it either tonight or tomorrow hopefully.

Nope your post was just fine. Actually both posts were pretty awesome. I will begin work on the massive monologue that is Owen's past. (Yeah I don't have to put Owen/James anymore!) DM and Loki (I am guessing) want to post before I move on. If not let me know. It will be a while before I get the finishing touches on that speech because I have exam week next week. I don't think I will have much in the way of free time until the following week. Sorry for the delay.

Sorry its taking so long to get this post up. I had a lot of stuff come up and I do have 3/4 of it done and hope to finish writing it tomorrow. Figured I should at least post in the OOC to let you all know what was going on. Sorry for the delay.

Just as a quick little update on my end: I'm busting my rear end this week to get all my work done by Wednesday because I'm going out of town next weekend. Depending on how much I get done this weekend, I may be delayed in posting after Sunwolf's. I definitely won't be using my computer much next weekend.

Well, I don't know what to say. This is only the 3nd RP that I have been involved in that lasted a year. I know I wasn't in since the beginning but still its a great achievement to continue an RP for this long. I agree with Silvan, you guys have made this such a great experience that I have to say that this RP is the best RP I have ever been involved in. I hope we get a chance to finish this RP and make it the first one I have ever completed.

On a side note I would have had Owen demand they leave right away but he is way to emotionally compromised to be thinking tactically so if someone would suggest leaving before they get attacked again that would be awesome.

This should be last round of posts for the Owen/James side story unless I think of something more for him to say or the others demand any other info. Thanks for putting up with my messed up style of leadership for an RP for a time.
