Okay, while I'm waiting for replies... I better work on some ideas.

Who should my main character be.............?

Human? Elf? ...Dragon? Shocked

Summoning, commanding, invoking.

Or, "I call upon the power of Aunos; Flames of War, dance!" *charge* *mental direction* "Fireball!!"

I think the model for Taura looks too bad-girl to be the Daughter of the Mother.
The first picture isn't bad, though. And the one with her laying down has a nice expression.

Perfect thing for an elf to fall in love with: a goddess.

lol nice.

The point of Taura's bad looks is because she's not immortal. She still doesn't age quite like humans, but she's gotten tougher with her mortal time. The point is that she's hardened up a bit, her defeat made her realize that her goody goody world is almost nonexistent. Revenge drives her a lot of the time. You'll see in the story. She's got hints of glory, things that make her amazing and unique. But she's also got this tough side, that is careful because she knows now that she can be hurt, physically and emotionally.

No, I want her to look tough, because until she can get the power she needs back, she'll remain mortal. She's going to look tough, and act kind of... un-goddessly. But that's the point, is her developing hope, perhaps even realizing that revenge isn't a good motive sometimes. When she regains her immortality, it'll be all gleaming beauty and light lol.

Upper body: A tan corset with an open lace-up front over a white sleeveless top with a 'v' neck.
Lower body: A pair of brown breeches.

Very simple, she doesn't go out of her way for things that don't matter.

I personally prefer the parchment version (I'm horrible at coloring) but I figured I'd try both. It needs a compass, but I'll add that when the names of everything are figured out.

Those look GREAT.

I use to draw my characters, but it takes me forever because I draw, then ink, then highlight, then darken, then bla bla, and I don't use computers I use pencils or paints and it's so much more excruciating than it might be worth.

SO that's the first couple, and I'm converting Taura from the weird blond to the dark haired chick? (I like dark haired chicks better anyway lol)

As soon as names of places are decided make sure you send them to me! Actually, you may want to just make a rough draft of the place names on the map, and then I will pretty it up. Are you wanting shield locations marked on the map, or was that just for your benefit?

Also, you don't need to name everything, but I would like to get a feel for what 'language' you guys are using before I pitch in.

I'm so ready to start this rp. Lol. It's LABOR DAY we've got to get it off the ground before tomorrow. I'm going to die if we don't.

<--- I have been cooped up in my four walls, alone and sick, for the past five days (save for a visit to the doctor). I NEED something entertaining by the end of tonight, or I'm deeming my life officially pathetic.

P.S.- We need to come up with names for the Human Kingdom(s), the islands, the forests, the mountains, the rivers.
WE NEED NAMES.

Kalon, if you can't come up with them, I'm going to roll dice and pull Scrabble pieces out until I have named everything.

I just thought about this. Are we going to use Valentina and (other character) in this? As in with the Suvio the bad wizard and baby-stealer plotline? Because I thought about a good way to tie together the two plots.

Maybe Suvio is working under Avaltha, she being his connection to the Mistress. Maybe Taura sets out on this journey to get back her power, and Avaltha sends Suvio after her. Maybe this would be able to bring together the characters we couple. Who knows, just an option.

The black fits well because she's lost her power.
I had this image of her fading to black.
Maybe she'll be all blond and shining and long and glorious when she gets it all back! xD
Or maybe white hair. *shrug*

Ryona, you can label or not label the Shields however you like.
As for labels, I wonder if they'll fit......
I didn't think about that.
I keep making small maps and then having to label everything by zooming in.

Anyway let me see about names...........

ALSO I do like the idea of her fading black. I thought it over. This could be her mortal version; what she would be like as a human.

- I want to discuss power distribution. With Taura, I usually give her a little bit of holy magic. Very small healing ability OR I prefer that she can conduct a glowing golden energy, a.k.a. light. She gains more of this energy and can actually use it in actual spells once she grows more and more powerful.

This is medieval fantasy, so I guess humans are like Englishy people. King Arthury and even Middle-earthy.
We have Monarchy, so that's cool

Elves are Monarchy, too, so that leaves Dwarves, which I guess can have a chieftain or something.
Trolls, I'm not so sure about.

And dragons.... Very Happy

We don't even know about dragons yet.

TELL YOU WHAT!!
Why don't we start, somehow, and lay the tracks as the train rolls, so to speak.

That was what I was thinking for the humans as well. Old English/Middle-earthen. Living under a monarchy system of government. Classes of wealth decide a lot.

Elves are usually wiser and more spiritual. They usually have a more fantastical way about them. I don't know a whole lot on elves though, but I'm sure you do.

Dwarves I always imagine as gruff working men. Living a simple path, protective of their own kind and those dear to them. They are very physically strong, and only use little magic, magic that usually is cycled only amongst the Dwarves.

Since elements are such an important part of this role play, I propose elemental dragons strewn across the map. You know, your classic red fire breathing dragon, blue/white water dragon, etc...You guys can stick to the four elements or venture out and use some of the more unique dragon classes (I have a dnd book of dragons if you would like some inspiration!)

I hope it's ok that I'm helping, i realize this isn't my role play but I am enjoying being a part of the building process...*sheepish grin*

Edit: Also, I can do my best to label things but if I make the map any bigger it will become pixelated. Chances are it wont all fit, but I will try.

I like that idea. KO and I were talking about how dragons need to incorporate somehow. I like the idea of Elemental dragons. MAYBE dragons are guardians of the Elementals.
Then there can be other types of dragons, like ones made by the Mistress or Mother for other purposes.

And there can be wild dragons. And intelligent wild dragons that congregate near the Dragon labels, maybe. And there can be a few different sizes.
And there should TOTALLY be some EVIL dragons! xDDD

I've been thinking more about the plotline.

How about Suvio be a boss of sorts. An antagonist who plans to stop Taura from regaining her power. He'd also be the one who tells Avaltha that the Daughter of Light lives.
