COMPLAINT:

I HAVE SENIOR PORTRAITS IN FOUR HOURS
And I have no idea what props to take, what poses I'm supposed to use, and all that mess. MY OUTFITS are so doopy.

XD Doopy is a new word. It means dopey and droopy. LOLZ.

My first is jeans, classic low-rise converses (with red and black checkered laces), a peace-sign tank top, and a dark gray/black jacket with a bit of something shiny and abstract on the front.

My second outfit is jeans, low rise converses, a black and red Fender shirt, a Jack Skellington belt and bracelet, and ... Yeah.

Nonsense. I pop MY fingers and I turned out fine.

Popping fingers is funny, kinda like tickling. If someone else does it to you it HURTS like HELL. If you do it, though, nothing more than the sweet relief of pressure leaving your joints spiderwebs through your phalanges.

Maybe if you wear a cast over your hand you can stop it...

I don't run into asshole often on roleplay forums. But, boy, when I do they sure do make me clench my teeth and seethe silently at my monitor. Why is it that semi-lit people think they can tell me that I don't post often when I actually have, oh, I don't know, a life? And, hurm, maybe bother to write up six or seven paragraphs per post? RAGE RAGE RAGE!!! I refuse to leave that roleplay simply because of one dick but AURGH I hope he gets a Trojan Virus or something.

Oh I will, I have many art mediums like sewing and drawing and the like.

But, sigh, the roleplay world just isn't as cool as when I was semi-lit. Now that I've upped my standards I. . . . Well, I wouldn't say I look down on people. However, two paragraph posts just don't cut it for me anymore.

My standards are three paragraphs at the least per post and 4 or so sentences per paragraph. They also have to be fair-sized.

Mine are at least three paragraphs with a minimum of five sentences. FOG's is six but I've always been taught that five is the correct number so it's mentally burned into my brain. I usually prefer to look at five paragraphs posts or more, but I can stomach three paragraphs.

That's only the minimum. A really good post will be a modest 8 paragraphs.

Oh I agree. The best kind of posts are the ones that take time.

When I was beginning I loved it when people taught me tips and tricks on how to write more. But it seems like other people will lash out on you for suggesting that they don't power play. Hurm.

It always sucks when people can't take constructive criticism. A lot of people always assume that I'm just being a jerk when I give them helpful tips. I know I'm nit-picky, but I don't do it to make them angry.

Remember that a good post not only explains detailed, immerse action (your character is ACTUALLY THERE) but also keeps from suffocating the whole scenario (I.E. there are 40 enemies and your character beats 35 of them without letting others be a part of it).

There's one exception to this rule and that is a co-post, in which two people (usually over IM) exchange paragraphs and actions between characters and then post the scenario in one, big, edited lump. These posts could be big enough to require two posts but count as if two people were posting. They are also great to do things like conversations with a lot of dialogue back-and-forth.

Ugh Adrius you just describe an almost exact scenario of what I just faced but he beat them ALL but one because she looked like his ex-girlfriend. It's like, betch bring your whiny self important god mod elsewhere for I DO NOT WANT.

Kat, someone like you has the right to be nit picky! You're an amazing writer! Someone should feel lucky that you actually cared enough to be nit picky. Speaking of which, Firefox doesn't fix grammatical errors so I have to edit my Avatar post. I make the dumbest errors, I swear. XD ::Facepalm::

Yeah, I told him if we were getting into a pissing contest he won for I wasn't fortunate enough to be born with a female upper half and male lower half therefore my aim was going to be off. That ended the argument right there.

I think the only reason someone should be able to kick that much ass is if they have a berserk mode which also means they would attack their own teammates, too. At least, that's how it was in Baulder's Gate II when I played it. I used to make one of the characters go Berserk all the time until he attacked and almost killed my main character. =3

On this board I just considered myself average, but on other boards I was always an elitist... well... not always... Everyone has to start somewhere. My beginning were on mIRC and AOL chatrooms. No one who begins there is all that great. I think my very first character was named Yvonne and she was a fully armored warrior woman. Anyway... I actually didn't become an elitist until after almost a year on S*T when I realized I'd made a list of people to avoid because they were shitty writers... It just kept getting longer and longer. >.>;;

Anyway, I don't have a list here. It's nice. ^^_^^ So yeah. If you had been one of the people on my "list" somewhere else, I would have been like, "Thanks." but I would have expected it. However, surrounded by all of you guys who are also immensely creative and excellent writers, it's a pretty enormous compliment.

Why are there good feelings in this thread?! This is the COMPLAINTS thread not the COMPLIMENTS thread!

This is probably the only time I will ever complain about this, but I complain that I don't have a car. Mostly because I really want to call someone to hang out, and my options are pretty much limited since out of the two people I hang out a lot these days, one's still around her boyfriend, and the other isn't really able to come over unless I can pick her up. That's basically how it goes, at least.

I don't think I'd normally feel the need to complain about this. But I just finished having yet another discussion with my mother about my job, and how my employer never calls when she says she will. Which causes strife between my parents and me, since I know she'll call at some point or another (though it irks me too) and so I don't appear as bothered by it as they do. And now my mom's all huffy because I didn't tell my boss when she called that we were going camping this weekend, but honestly, my mom told me that we weren't so far from my job, so it wouldn't be too hard for me to get there even if I was working. So now she's all "well, I sure hope you don't have to work Saturday" "Sunday would be so much better, you should tell her that when she calls", blah blah. Augh.

I don't know. I get in a sour mood when my parents and I discuss my job. It's such a hassle; it'd almost be better if I didn't have the job at all. But then again, then they'd be hassling me about getting a job, so I'd be in the same boat...
