Re: What are you listening to?
I've used Pandora before. It tends to infuriate me because there is no way to make it mix up all the genres I like, haha. Phil Collins is fantastic.
Journey is my mom's favorite band, lol. But they're good, for certain. Although after Steve Perry left... not so much.

Re: What are you listening to?
Yeah. It's making me pretty sad right now in that respect, but all of the songs it's played for me so far are ones I like, so I'm dealing. Plus, every five songs or so, it changes genres which is okay.
I'm listening to "Piano Man" by Billy Joel. I've always loved this song, but I never knew who sang it until now. =3

OMG. *dances a happy dance* That's one of my favorite songs ever. Billy Joel is sooooo good.
I think I'm going to change it to that right now. But I'm currently listening to...
"Dig Up Her Bones"

Haha. Kansas is another great band. Nice staple of rock music to have... Also amongst the collection of CDs you will find in my mother's vehicle...

Pandora just changed the genre of music to which I'm listening.
I'm now listening to "I Got Nerve" by Hannah Montana.

... She is among the handful of artists that, should I ever meet her by some off-chance, I would punch her right in the mouth. Yeah, it'd be worth the assault charges... It's not her music so much that I disagree with (I don't even know it really), but I think she's an awful role model for young girls.

Re: What are you listening to?
I like her music... though it's probably because she's in my key all the time with her limited vocal range... Mine is pretty limited, too. XD Her music is fun, though...
But yeah. I agree. She's not such a great role model, but I think she's kind of going through what Britney Spears did where she started out as a role model for little girls, and she wanted to grow up... She just didn't transition properly... Taylor Swift is a way better role model for little girls, for sure, and I like her music, too. heheh
I'm listening to "Beautiful Soul" by Jesse McCartney. Even though I like his music, I am insanely happy that his tour dates conflicted with the boot camp martial arts training for The Last Airbender, causing him to drop the role of Zuko which then went to Dev Patel who I think will make a far superior fit. ^^_^^

Re: What are you listening to?
I really dislike most of the Disney princes and princesses, as I refer to them. I think that basically, they're all really untalented as actors/tresses and/or singers. I don't know. They just don't float my boat.
I don't keep up much with movies, but I'm sure that will be a much better choice than Jesse McCartney, haha. I don't know too much about Avatar, other than my little sister watches the show and one of my friends keeps up with it.
Coming out of my speakers right now for a LIMITED TIME ONLY:
"You're Pretty Good Looking (For a Girl)"

Re: What are you listening to?
:: shrugs :: I like what sounds good to me. Plus, I love to sing even if I'm not amazing, and their songs tend to be really easy for me sing which just adds to their appeal for me. hahah
It's an awesome show. You should watch it... or at the very least watch the movie when it hits theatres on July 1st. =3
I'm listening to "Without Love" from Hairspray ((The Original Broadway Cast)). I love show tunes so much. XD

Re: What are you listening to?
I understand that. When a song is easy to sing to, it definitely enhances its appeal.
I have seen it a couple of times. I will most likely get dragged to the theater anyway, haha.

Also, I love show tunes too! Being involved in the theatre and all. The original Hairspray was sooo good!

Re: What are you listening to?
I've only heard a few songs from Hairspray, but I've never seen it. It seems really cute, though.
I used to be involved with theatre in high school. I'm not nearly as show-tune-literate as a lot of my friends are, but I still like them.
I'm currently listening to "Part of Your World" from The Little Mermaid. It was my favorite movie when I was little.

Re: What are you listening to?
Theatre is a great activity, musical or not.
I find show tunes hard to keep separated properly by show, haha.
Awwh. Disney songs are always really good. I'll admit to having quite a few in my music library.

I'm listening to "Over the Rainbow" by Israel 'IZ' Kamakawiwo'ole. It's such a mouthful, and I'm not even one hundred percent sure I spelled it right, but I love this song. It's so mellow. :: drools ::
