I'm listening to Adam's Song by Blink 182.
I've also made a genius play list with that song on my iPad (the iPod program on iPad). It has good songs.

Sarah McLachlan's new album, "Laws of Illusion", which the internet is legally letting me listen to in its entirety. It's neat.

I just signed up to Pandora Radio, so I'm enjoying it with varying artists from varying genres. It'll enable me to be a little more in touch with music than my car's radio offers.
I'm currently listening to "Golden Road" by Keith Urban. I've never heard this song before...

Variety is always good. I actually like Keith Urban, specially when im driving through town and i'll roll down my window and pull up next to a ghetto person in their caddi. And crank the volume!
Oh What a world : Rufus wainwright. One of my favorite singers out there. One, although..one.

Re: What are you listening to?
I'm glad there's another person who likes a wide variety of things. I know a lot of people who aren't so fond of anything other than one to three genres, and everything else sucks to them. I love practically everything. My iPod has a wide variety of things on it, so I just stick it on shuffle to get the most of it all. Some people can't handle something like that. They like their genres to be separate, but I love them all one after the other.
Sadly, Pandora doesn't seem to understand that. It plays like... five songs in one genre all grouped together. =\
I'm listening to "Already Gone" by Sugarland.

XD. My brother and I do the same exact thing, and his car has a ridiculous system in it. We just blare punk and alt rock.
Also, I agree, Kathryn. Variety is, as they say, the spice of life. I love music, and I love to know as much about it as possible. How can you say you don't like a song without hearing it? I don't particularly like rap, but sometimes a song will be really good, you know?

Re: What are you listening to?
Riekon, it's kind of frustrating. ._.
I can't say whether or not I really like screamo. I haven't heard very much of it. I haven't particularly enjoyed what I have heard, but it seems so minor compared to what exists, so I'd rather reserve my judgment.
raine, I know what you mean. I don't like a lot of rap because it just doesn't fit me, but there's some rap I absolutely love. That's the same with any genre of music, though.
I'm listening to "Gimme Some Lovin'" by The Spencer Davis Group.

Re: What are you listening to?
Kathryn, screamo is a finnicky genre for me, mostly because they tend to call themselves hardcore and that isn't what hardcore is. Hardcore is a punk thing. It was started by punks. It did not involve screaming. Or metal. In any way. And also, a lot of it isn't good, true. There are some groups that are really, really good, but a lot of them sound the same and aren't very talented, honestly. You have to really pick through it to find the good stuff.

Re: What are you listening to?
Hm... I don't really know a lot of the background on genres. I'm more of a "Oh, this sounds good! I'm going to listen to it." sort of person. I don't delve into all of the history concerning genres, their beginnings, or their connections. =\
I'm listening to "One of These Nights" by The Eagles. I love these guys.

Re: What are you listening to?
Little Miss Sunshine was a great movie, by the way. And I agree. I just love music. But I love all kinds of things about it. It's not just an, eh, I need background music thing to me. I actually really care about it and spend a lot of time researching it and keeping up with it and learning how to play my instruments and actively taking part in it, like in musicals in the local theatre and such.

Oh yeah. I love how music can change how you feel so instantly, or the feel to a piece of writing or play, or even yeah a musical. AHHHH I cant explain how much I love music.

What all musical instruments do you play xraineyex ?

Re: What are you listening to?
I don't think I have a very good ear. All I can do is tell when I'm off key or when someone else is off key, but I can't always correct myself. I definitely can't play any musical instruments. Singing okay-some-of-the-time is it for me.
I'm listening to "The House of the Rising Sun" by The Animals.

Re: What are you listening to?
Music is a way of life for me, honestly. I can't explain it. I'd go crazy and probably kill myself without it. I honestly think I'd lose my mind with out it.
Hm. I play clarinet, bass (stand-up and guitar), piano/keyboard, and a little percussion and a little guitar. I'm not very proficient at the last two yet, but I hope to be. And I sing in choir and the theatre, if that counts.

Re: What are you listening to?
Well, I feel like my life would be seriously lacking without music, but I don't know what I would do without it. I think, like with everything else that happens in my life, I would survive. I'd just be grumpier. XD
My boyfriend is very serious about music, though. He's a good singer, and he's really instilled a great love of music in me. It's a lot bigger part of his life than it is of mine, though.
I'm listening to "I Hope You Dance" by Lee Ann Womack.

Re: What are you listening to?
Haha. Oh, I'd be a lot more than 'grumpier'. I might have overreacted a little but I'd probably go out of my mind, since I already know what I'm missing. If I'd never heard music, I'd never miss it. But it's too late now. I'm in too deep.
Ah yes. A significant other with a passion for something often instills at least somewhat of a love in a person for their passion. If you know what I mean.

Re: What are you listening to?
Knowing what I'm missing would make not having music like... a hundred times harder... I'd miss the weird looks I get from my customers and from my co-workers when they overhear me singing or humming to myself. XD
However, if I had never heard music, I don't think I'd be so terrible. I can't imagine that I'd be the same person, though, even knowing that I'm not really invested in music nearly as much as others. I do understand its importance in life. I'm sure movies and television shows wouldn't be nearly as awesome without the power of music to guide a person's emotions.
I'm listening to "The End of Innocence" by Don Henley. I've never heard of this guy, but he has a nice voice.

Re: What are you listening to?
Exactly. Even if it doesn't mean the world to you, like it does to some people
(like myself, hahah), it's still influenced you as a person.
And I'd definitely miss the weird looks. Teehee. (I happen to sing very loudly everywhere I go, and it's generally music that the general populace has never heard.)
Well, maybe you've found a new artist to really enjoy! That's what I like so much about keeping up with music, discovering what's out there.
Currently listening to:
"Yellow Cat (Slash) Red Cat"

Re: What are you listening to?
Yeah. Apparently he's the same general genre as Phil Collins who I really, really like. I thought he was country until I saw him under the suggestions thingy Pandora has. The suggestions are by genre, and whatever genre I'm hearing is the genre that gets the suggestions, sooo yeah. XD
I'm listening to "Who's Crying Now" by Journey.
