The Poetry of Kædai

[Kædai]

So, as you might be able to tell, I like to write a bit of poetry here and there. I'll be posting my old works as well as new ones here every now and again. First, I'll import some from various websites I'm on.

~To my enemies...
Do not run, for I will follow. Fear me not, for I am Sorrow. Do not fight, you cannot win. And do not hide, I hunt again.

~To my friends...
Do not run, I am there. To keep you safe, from evil's stare. If I shall fall, do not mourn. For I still guard, against the storm.

Her

As I soar in the sky,
Diving, curling around clouds gone by,
I see her, walking in the dark,
A sea of black, with one lonely spark.

She used to be pure, untainted and clean,
But then something took her, the dark it would seem.
As she has changed, become not true,
For I have learned, one subtle clue.

But a fact can change what's good and bad,
What's happy, fun, or even sad.
And so this truth has tainted her,
A baited line with a delicious lure.

And so she's fallen, an angel now dead.
Her mind not hers, inside her head.
And as I watch from the sky,
I mourn for those lost souls gone by.

Her-Part II

I'm getting ever closer,
Closer to my love,
I soar and dive throughout the skies,
Just like a soaring dove.

As I near I sense the warm,
The feeling of love inside,
But it also comes with a terrible price,
From which I cannot hide.

I know of what she talks of,
When she says it's true,
And so I must live on my life,
With every single clue.

It's hard to know what she has done,
But everything's that way,
And even though I know the truth,
I love her everyday.

And so as I fly throughout the clouds,
Soaring ever more,
I keep her by my winged side,
The girl I call "Amor".

In the water I shall sit,
Staring to the sky above,
Sitting in the water I shall stay,
Looking at the place I love.

Sitting there I close my eyes,
Thinking of the stars above,
The twinkling lights in the sky,
Watching over the place I love.

Listening to the water move,
Underneath I float above,
Just below the sky up there,
Just below the place I love.

Stare

Why does it have to hurt?
The parting of the souls.
My heart is never whole again,
Once that loud chime tolls.

I don't think I'll see her,
The next time we're close,
I'll be near, yet far away.
That is what hurts the most.

If I find her in the crowd,
What am I to say?
I'm sorry I had to go, my love.
I'm sorry everyday.

I wanted to be near to you,
But I had to go.
This love we share just cannot be,
This I know you know.

So as we near the next time 'round,
Know that I still care.
Cause in my heart I know I want,
To just stand there and stare.

Forever Is Too Long

What am I to do, my love?
What am I to do?
I cannot live without that sound,
That voice that belongs to you.

I listen closer everyday,
I try to hear it's song.
But it's been so long since last I heard,
I fear it's been too long.

I wish for that lovely release,
When I will strain no more,
When I can hear your voice, my love,
And will my spirit soar!

I'll fly to you, up there, my love.
And join you in that voice,
But now, I'm stuck down here, my love,
But it is not my choice.

I feel I must live out my days,
Without your sweet heart-song.
But I'll come one day, my love, you'll see.
Forever is too long.

Music of the Heart

Do you know that one sweet song,
That one that sings inside?
Have you heard you own sweet tune,
Or do you try to hide?
For first your song is a sad one,
A lone note in the air.
It longs for another note to join,
Another note to share.
Mine is still a lonely one,
But it is fine with that.
It'll wait for that right one,
And hope they don't go flat.
And so it sings forever more,
A solo in it's part.
And it'll wait for another tune,
More music of the heart.

Ah, I greatly enjoyed the poetry. I prefer prose, but this has a lovely emotional feel to it.

Thank you. Yes, I do try to get emotion into my poetry. to me, it just flows off the tongue better if it rhymes, though I do enjoy the occsionaly piece of prose.
