Isn't a Patronus NEWT level and the spells for the animagus ability so highly rare that only a few people ever pull it off? It sounds like only a few people pull off the latter. But the Patronus would start in 6th year, supposedly. Except in the books, the DA all learned it earlier than that.

Yes, I liked the Potter books well enough, but I am nowhere nohow in the league you guys are, I think. Very Happy

I don't know about the patronus being N.E.W.T. level. I do know that the animagus is really rare and difficult for people to accomplish successfully, though. I just want my character to have the potential for it even if I don't actually give it to her.

I'm deducing it's NEWT level strictly on the basis that it wasn't taught for their OWL's (but they studied it on their own) and they were given a bonus for knowing such a complicated charm at the OWL practical exam.

Since it wasn't on the test, and was considered more advanced than the test, it goes to stand that it is NEWT level. But that shouldn't stop you from giving your character a Patronus if you want, because it's fiction and this is about having fun. Wink

Besides, Rowling's attitude in the books seems to indicate a disdain for 'age appropriate' learning after a certain point (which I always found to be wicked awesome.)

That's true. I do want to have an over-achiever for a character, too, though nowhere near as over-achieving as Hermione. My character won't need that hourglass.

I finally finished cleaning out our rat cage and putting all their things back in it after washing them. I also gave them each a bath (and got pretty deeply scratched up in the process). Now, I'm dead tired!

I'm now moving on to trying to think up a good response to my RP with Tempest and doing even more laundry.

Meanwhile, I'm sitting on a bunch of unfinished homework, and all I feel like doing right now is passing out.

So I practiced my trumpet for a little bit today, among other things. Right now, I'm not doing much of anything at all. -sigh- Just waiting for a few more hours to pass, so I can go to my first meeting for a symphony orchestra that I've joined over the summer.

There are so many things I should be doing right now, but I can't say I feel like doing any of them.

EDIT: So, apparently we're going out to dinner. But before we go, I need to call my boss about various things and subtly hint that she should schedule me for the upcoming week. >.>

I just finished reading my book for two hours. I should be able to finish it tomorrow. There are only fifty-six pages left to the book.

I'm busy being appalled at Loki's grammar ((or lack thereof)). There "is no jobs" for you to do? :: shakes head ::

I'm also checking email, slowly going through the list of notifications. After that, I think I'm going to bid on a cloak.

Nobody has posted yet. Mine's in the last stages, just tidying it up. However, I'm nosey and want to see what other people did first, before I post mine lol.

Got 10 mins before work.
Nose is irritating me again.
Didn't sleep too well last night.
We're back on the healthy regime - which is good.
I'm still quitting WoW (canceled account yesterday and uninstalled over the weekend)
Need to "GIMP" one image and do a sketch for Exitus Sator.

(Sorry about the rat scratches Fate. Mine can be buggers when cleaning them. Keschumae can jump very high >.< I got a good clean of their cage this weekend too but didn't get to bath them. Might do it this weekend - since its hot and their suffering Sad

Aww, Reffy. Sorry you didn't get much sleep and that your nose is irritating you. A healthy regime though is a great plus. Smile
