To Another World OOC
In a world where magic and mystery are commonplace, there reigned a good and just King. For years, he reigned in peace, and great was the joy in the land when his dear wife gave birth to a son, whom they named Justinian Augustus Deloren. Unfortunately, the peace was not to last. The King's brother-in-law, Xavier Albrook, was jealous of the King. He saw the birth of the newborn child as a threat to his own hopes at the crown. And so, he staged a military coup, in which both the King and the Queen were killed. The King's sister and Xavier's wife, Celeste, was horrified at what her husband had done. Though she became Queen, she could never forgive Xavier for his cruel and terrible tactics. She begged that he spare Justinian, and somehow, she was able to protect the young babe from his Uncle. She desperately wished to leave the new King, but as she already had children and was watched by guards constantly, she had no hope for escape. Celeste took care of Justin as her own child, indeed, perhaps took care of him more than her own. In time, as Justinian grew, the Queen worried that one day her husband might see him as a threat. And so she planned for Justinian's escape.
On the eve of the young Prince's eighth birthday, he stole away in the dead of the night with Celeste's trusted servant. Unfortunately, the servant and the Prince were waylaid by bandits. The servant was killed immediately, and Justinian was beaten and left for dead. By some fortuitous twist of fate, he was rescued by a group of wandering pirates. They took him in as one of their own, and even though he missed his adopted mother, he grew to love the pirates. For four years, he traveled with them, and grew to see the terrible state of the Empire under his Uncle's firm rule.
Though all people possessed a power or an element they could control, surprisingly the Prince could wield many elements and he developed a deep connection with the world on which he lived. Strangely, Justinian seemed to have aged very little since the time the pirates found him, bruised and broken. News traveled to his Uncle's ears of his strange powers, and Xavier eagerly researched about the abilities. Soon, he discovered the legend of the Shapers. They were extremely rare, about one a million people born with a unique spark that allowed them not only to control the elements, but to communicate with the world in which they lived and perhaps even create portals to other worlds. It was also about this time that strange creatures of Shadow began appearing, seeking something, though no one knew what. They were extremely dangerous, and soon parts of the Kingdom were falling into ruin. Xavier knew that there was little point in remaining in this world. He would abandon his own people to their fate. But...he would take his young nephew with him and the royal family to another world, and with Justinian's power, he could assert dominance over any planet he desired. And so he waged war on the pirates, kidnapped his young nephew, and prepared to depart the planet, heedless of the knowledge he had gained that if Justinian were removed from the world, it would slowly but surely die...

The Characters
- Spoiler:
- Name: Justinian (Justin) Augustus Deloren
Gender: Male
Age: 12, but looks younger
Element/Power: Justinian is a Shaper. He has control over all four elements, though he specializes in Earth magic and healing. He has the unique power to bond with the planet and can ask various forces of nature for aid. He also has the ability to travel to other worlds through the creation of portals. These powers come at a price, however, for they have attracted dark shadow creatures and the ambitions of his Uncle Xavier.
Skills/Strengths/Weaknesses: Justinian is very quick and agile. He's also slight and small, so he's able to fit into tiny places. He is not much of a fighter, however, and doesn't have great physical endurance. He has, however, learned some fighting tactics from the pirates and could probably surprise an unwary opponent in a pinch. Some of his powers also drain a good bit of his magical energy and can leave him physically weak and defenseless.
Personality: Justinian can be a bit of a dreamer, though this may be a side effect of his being a Shaper. He is always listening for the voice of the planet, and searching for ways to heal its suffering. Sometimes when he thinks he's meditating on the planet, he's actually just daydreaming. For all that, he has a great concern for others, most especially his friends. He is very loyal and trusting, but if that trust is broken, it takes a long time to regain it. He was very close to his Aunt Celeste, but was extremely afraid of his cruel Uncle. When he met the pirates, he quickly became friends with many of them, and is torn between his loyalty to them and the planet, and his ties to the Royal Family. Though he might seem naive, his time spent connecting with the planet has made him grow in wisdom, and sometimes he says things that a child his age should not know. His deepest desire is to heal the planet and to keep it safe from the new threat of shadow creatures.
Short biography: Justinian, or Justin as he is affectionately called by his friends among the pirates, was born to the good King Koran and his Queen Layla. Unfortunately, they murdered by his Uncle Xavier shortly after his birth. He grew up in the palace under the care of his Aunt Celeste, but he hardly had a life. He knew he needed to stay away from his Uncle as much as possible, so most of the time he stayed in his room or with his Aunt. He rarely had a chance to go outdoors, though when he did, he always felt like he had some kind of magical connection with the Earth. On his eight birthday, his Aunt helped him to secretly escape the palace, because she knew that eventually Xavier would begin to see him as a threat. It was during his escape with the Queen's servant that he experienced danger and hardship for the first time. He and the servant were attacked by bandits. The servant was killed and he was left for dead. As fate would have it, a band of pirates found him and took him in, tending to his wounds. He spent four years with the pirates, discovering his hidden powers and growing in them, and learning different skills from his new-found friends. The good times were not to last, however, as his Uncle heard of his exploits and discovered that the boy most likely had the spark of the Shaper glowing inside him. Now, his Uncle wishes to take him back so that they can leave the world, which has become infested with strange shadow creatures...
Appearance: Justinian has light blond hair cut somewhat short from his time as a pirate. He was used to dressing in lightweight pants and shirts, but with the Royal Family has been forced to wear more formal attire once again. He is rather short and slight and looks to be extremely young for his twelve years. His eyes are blue and his skin rather light and pale.
Name: Queen Celeste Albrook
Gender: Female
Age: 45
Element/Power: Water
Skills: The Queen has very good communication skills and can talk her way out of most situations. She's surprisingly adept with a sword, which she learned as a younger child. Her powers over water are very versatile and have aided her in many situations.
Personality: Celeste is a gentle soul, loving and nurturing, which is why she could never understood how her children turned out the way they did. She has little love for her husband after his coup, but she has little opportunity for escape and would never leave her children. She does have a stubborn streak, however, and when she sets her mind to something even Xavier knows to back down. She has a fondness for flowers and fountains, and spends most of her time in the gardens of the palace to help her forget her troubles.
Short biography: Celeste was born the brother of the former King. She and the King grew up together, and because they were the former rulers only children, learned many of the same things together. Celeste even took lessons in fencing and hand-to-hand combat. As a child, she was very much a tomboy and enjoyed sports that were considered to be only for men such as fencing and horseback riding. As she grew older, she mellowed a bit but never lost her stubborn streak. When she was eighteen years of age, her hand was sought in marriage by a man named Xavier. He was a wealthy noble, suave and smooth, and very flattering. Her brother thought that there was something strange about Xavier, but Celeste ignored his warnings and the two were eventually wed. They had two children together, a son and a daughter, twins to be exact. Celeste tried to raise them with love and fairness, but surprisingly Xavier was the one who tended to spoil them rotten. Her son became vain and self-centered while her daughter was rather haughty and could not quite tell the whole truth. Eventually, Justinian was born and Celeste was named his godmother. She was overjoyed, but the happiness was not to last when her husband staged the military coup and took power. Celeste would have left him had she not still cared for her children and been worried about what was to become of the baby Justinian. Celeste convinced her husband to spare Justinian, and she raised her nephew as her own child. He was the child she always wanted, sweet and easy to please, if a little dreamy at times. She knew, however, that she could not keep him forever because of the jealousy of the King. And so, when Justinian was eight, she sent him from the castle with her most trusted servant. Xavier was furious with her, but she would not tell him where Justinian had gone. She thought she had sent him to one of her most trusted friends, but that was not the case. Years later, strange tales told of a boy who had powers over many elements and a deep connection with the Earth. This coupled with rumors of shadow creatures and her husband's sudden obsession over Shapers caused her to realize that her dear Justinian was a Shaper himself. She was somewhat distraught at the news, as she knew her husband would want to use him for his own ends. She was correct in this and soon found Justinian in her care again, though they both were under a strict watch by guards. She was happy to be with dear Justinian, but enraged that her husband would dare to try to use the boy to escape the world instead of trying to save it. She secretly plans to do whatever she can to stop her husband and to protect her nephew.
Appearance: Celeste has chestnut hair that falls to her waist. Her eyes are the color of emeralds and her skin is somewhat tanned from her long exposure to the sun. She prefers to dress simply, often in white gowns and perhaps a few jewels. She wears a simple tiara fashioned out of silver to look like the sun.
Name: Prince Kevin Albrook
Gender: Male
Age: 20
Element/Power: Earth
Skills: Kevin is not known for his swordplay abilities, nor for his speed, or his endurance. He usually uses his Earthen powers to make himself look more dashing, thinking that flowers and other earthen elements can add to his charm. He thinks that he can charm anyone, but really that is not true. His one real talent is painting. It is said that the pictures he paints seem so real, that it is almost as if they can come to life.
Personality: Kevin is a rather self-centered individual, and isn't the sharpest tool in the toolbox. He tends to believe that everyone loves him, adores him, and swoons before his eternal beauty. He could care little for the crown or politics as long as he is allowed to sleep in late and spend most of his days beatifying himself. Both Xavier and Celeste don't care for this attitude, but Xavier has been quite busy with politics and Celeste has long since given up on trying to reform him. He abhors violence and the mere mention of fighting makes him sick to the stomach. He has a fondness for sweets and pastries.
Short biography: Kevin was born as one of the twins to Celeste soon after she married Xavier. As a child, he was actually quite bright and prodigious, and was able to play the piano at a young age. Delighted, Xavier pushed Kevin harder and harder until eventually he just shut down. He refused to learn anything else, and in fact reverted in many ways. He became self-centered and absorbed. He was tired of expectations from others, so he put no expectations on himself. Kevin thought he had a swooning fanbase in every eligible woman in the Kingdom, but was mostly deluded. A few were attracted by his good looks, but when they got to know him, they found him to be horribly stuck up. Kevin didn't know much of the events that led to his father being King, but as a Prince he took full advantage of the wealth and prestige that had to offer. Truthfully, he's not a terrible person at heart, and when he does take the time to notice the wants and needs of others, he can be surprisingly thoughtful.
Appearance: Kevin has jet black hair like his father, a lean, handsome face, and dark brown eyes. He is rather slender, not muscular at all. He dresses like a peacock, and seems to love roses, as he is never seen without one somewhere on his body. His favorite colors are blues and golds. He's rather tall, around 6 feet.
Name: Zephyr Tor
Gender: Male
Age: 32
Element/Power: Air
Skills: Zephyr is quite agile and quick, and prefers to attack with a rapier, willing to win a fight by persistence and speed rather than ending it in one solid blow. He's very good with map and charts and has quite a good sense of direction. He's usually very calm and level-headed and can use this to his advantage when others are panicking. When he does become angry, however, it is like a fire is lit under him.
Personality: Zephyr is a rather go-with-the-flow type of guy. He is very difficult to anger and seems to have infinite patience. He enjoys a good laugh and loves restful activities like reading, writing, or just gazing at the stars. He would pore over maps for hours on end if he could, trying to figure out new and better ways to reach distant places. New cities and sights are always exciting to him, and he is usually the first to disembark to find something attractive or interesting within the local economy. For all this, he does have a limit to his patience. Reaching that limit is difficult, but once the threshold is attained, there is no going back. Freak lightning storms and even tornadoes have been associated with his anger, to where he has had to hide his identity at least once. He has a fondness for anything having to do with learning and really enjoys a meaningful conversation.
Short biography: Zephyr was born to two rather well-to-do parents. While he was young, he never cared or wanted for anything and led the life of an average noble. At the age of sixteen, he was expected to take over the family business in silks and fabrics, but a chance meeting changed that. While attending a rather boring meeting, he happened to meet the famed navigator and astronomer, Zellon Treleck. Zellon captivated his imagination in a way he never had, and Zephyr found true passion in studying maps and books. Contrary to the wishes of his parents, he apprenticed himself to Zellon and learned everything he could about navigation. After many years of intense training, he left Zellon's tutelage to become a navigator in the Royal Family's famed air force. For quite some time, he was happy, but with the ascension of the new King to the throne, many of the members of the air navy were replaced by Xavier's chosen men. These people were a surly bunch most of the time, and reflected the King's desire for power and domination. When the air force was ordered to bombard a town of innocent civilians, Zephyr snapped at last. In his anger and in the blink of an eye, he conjured a storm so large, that it swept away most of the fleet or destroyed it with lightning strikes. He barely escaped with his life, but it was at this time that he met a band of pirates, most of them disgruntled with Xavier's policy. He immediately decided to join as their navigator and found a zest for life that he had not possessed before, especially when he met the carpenter of the group. He enjoyed her company immensely, and at last believed he had found a place he could call home.
Appearance: Zephyr is of medium build and height, and has dark brown hair, almost the color of mahogany. His eyes are an intense blue, and his skin is somewhat fair. He clothes himself in light, airy materials so that he can move freely without being dragged down by cumbersome weight.
Name: Ralph Costaso
Gender: Male
Age: 34
Element/Power: Fire
Skills: Ralph is an excellent chef, and quite handy with a frying pan for a weapon. He can use traditional weapons and favors axes, but has always sworn by his frying pan. He can also use his fire magic in battle, but again prefers to use it for culinary purposes. He's rather muscled and strong and can help with heavy lifting or other trials requiring strength.
Personality: Ralph is rather a joker and loves to laugh, quite loudly. He has a very loud voice and most people can hear him throughout the ship. He tends to become protective of those he cares about, and will go to the ends of the earth for them. Cooking is his passion, however, and he says that's why he never married. He knows he would spend too much time in the kitchen. He is quite a skilled cook and can make a delicious meal even with the simplest of ingredients. He plays a big brotherly role to other members of the pirate band and always checks to make sure they have enough to eat. But don't make him angry...and don't go into the kitchen while he is in the middle of an important dish!
Short biography: Ralph was born to rather poor parents. Even from a young age, however, his cooking skills were quite obvious. He could take the meager bits of food his parents were able to afford and turn them into delicious meals. Soon, that attracted the attention of wealthy individuals and he was quickly making money in his teenage years. He helped to support his parents until they were able to finally get back on their feet. As he grew older, however, he saw how the rich truly snubbed the poor, especially when the rule of King Xavier began. With his power, the rich the became richer while the poor became poorer. Ralph split his ties with the "rich" folk and began to look for work somewhere else. Eventually, he found the group of pirates with a like mind about the new King, and hasn't parted ways with them ever since.
Appearance: Ralph has a shock of bright red hair on his head, cropped short since he's cooking all the time. He is strong and muscular, and his skin is a very dark tan color. His eyes are almost red as well. He prefers crimson clothing and hates the formal wear of a traditional chef. He prefers tight fitting clothing so that they don't get in his way.

-----♔
Name: Princess Sonia Albrook
Gender: Female
Age: 20
Element/Power: Ice
Skills: It's rumored that Sonia Albrook freezes the flowers sent to her by her many secret admirers. She uses her abilities over ice quite recklessly and won't hesitate to freeze anyone's feet to the ground just for the fun of it. Her abilities are normally used for her own gain-- for instance, freezing a royal guard solid so that she can sneak past and roam around in the city. If she is ever to use her abilities for defense, she will use spears made from ice. She isn't that skilled a fighter-- her razor sharp tongue and skill for lying are what aid her in most circumstances.
Personality: Sonia is wrapped in a veil of extravagant lies. Only those who know her well can decipher her lies and riddles in most cases. She has a tendency to trick people into thinking that she knows more than they do, just in order to manipulate them into thinking that she has something over them. She likes to hold a lot of power and uses that to her advantage. Sonia only lifts a finger to serve herself and no one else-- with possibly the mere exception of her twin brother, on certain occasions. In a way, her brother is the only person she views as her equal. Sonia is used to being admired by several people and sees nothing wrong with treating them like servants. Despite enjoying an elegant, wealthy lifestyle, Sonia thrives to roam the streets, go shopping, and mingle with people without the company of one of the royal guards. Sonia likes to sneak out of the palace and that tends to land her into a certain amount of trouble on most occasions. Although she has a sugary sweet demeanor, she can be downright brutal and unpredictable at times. She's rather haughty and tends to have a little too much confidence in herself on most occasions.
Short biography: Sonia was graced with wealth and beauty. Unfortunately, she also expects too much from the world and falls into boredom rather easily. Learning to be a lady was simple enough, but at the same time it was entirely tiresome. She was her father's little girl and was used to being coddled and spoiled rotten. After a while, though, everything just began to disinterest her. Her mother's attempts at getting her to see the beauty in the garden and her brother's attempts at teaching her to paint were fruitless and most hobbies disinterested her-- nothing seemed quite good enough for her. Eventually she found herself escaping to the library to read novels of adventurous tales. In doing that, she fantasizes roaming in the streets, meeting someone special, and running away forever to have an extravagantly exciting life. However, even when she manages to escape the palace, she finds things aren't impressing her the way that they should. When the royal family begins to travel to several different worlds, Sonia makes it her goal to get past Simon in order to explore. She finally feels rather excited and stimulated about something and that overjoys her. Even so, it's known that the Shadow creatures are multiplying and that it isn't very safe for a girl of her status to roam about unguarded. And being the trouble magnet she is, it is almost guaranteed that she would stir up a few complications.
Appearance: Sonia has extremely dark hair and milky white skin-- most compare her to 'Snow White' when it comes to describing her beauty. She has a wide set of icy blue eyes and long eyelashes. She adorns her spirally hair with bows and other ornaments and absolutely loves lace. Everything she wears must be extravagant and she mustn't leave her chamber should she be having a horrific hair day. She knows everything a girl could know about the latest trends and works hard to have an air of elegance and superiority. She is lean and stands only a few inches shorter than her brother.
-----❈
Name: Charlotte "Charlie" Kaylock
Gender: Female
Age: 28
Element/Power: None
Skills: Despite not having any special abilities-- Charlie can wield nearly any kind of weapon imaginable and is most probably the most adept fighter in the group. Charlie earned the respect from her crew due to the fact that she can manage very well on her own without having the aid of an ability. She's also an excellent planner and observer. She seems to take on anything and everything with a level head and rarely ever panics in a dire situation. Her skill in leadership, weaponry, and fighting makes up for the fact that she doesn't have any elemental based powers.
Personality: Charlie always had to be a hard worker. She had to live up to her father and her older brothers, who all had abilities and surpassed her in height and strength. Although she was teased lovingly in a merciless sort of way, the deprecating jokes tormented her and she felt she needed to surpass everyone's expectations. Having no abilities always made her a bit of a misfit among others, which only pushed her to work even harder. Growing up without a mother made her quite the tomboy. The sea is all she knows and she's always had a passion for sailing and fighting. When the title of Captain was thrown upon her after her older brother passed on, a huge weight crashed down onto Charlie's shoulders. She can never allow herself to be any less than perfect. She took on responsibilities that had seemed too hard for her to handle at the time. Charlie is fearless, nobel, loyal, selfless, and always sees to it that everyone is doing their jobs. She's strict, but only because it's in her crew's best interest to get their jobs done correctly. Charlie hardly ever uses any time to take care of herself, which is a huge problem. She tends to overwork herself. Charlie's a total overachiever and if anything doesn't going according to her plans, she'll have a complete breakdown. Charlie loves her crew like family-- but keeps a stern face around all of them. It's very hard for her to melt and relax around other people.
Short biography: Charlie was always told that she was a mistake-- being born without any powers was unheard of. Charlie heard that she was left in her father's care at a young age-- but not a soul knew where she came from or where her roots lead. What Charlie doesn't know, however, is that she was actually born in one of the other worlds. She grew up with her father and brothers for a while always treated as though she was biologically related to them. She grew up well and was never coddled to the point where it was suffocating, like most young ladies were at the time. Growing older, Charlie gained a real thirst for adventure. She and her oldest brother were travelers before he became the Captain of the pirates-- they went from town to town, trying to find work. Injustice was everywhere. Her brother started to sail and Charlie came along. Because of this, Charlie grew up on the seas and knows the ship like the back of her hand. By sailing, she and her brother discovered the existence of the strange Shadow creatures that lurked about. As they weren't animals nor did they appear to really be living beings, they were used for training purposes and Charlie learned to use several different types of weaponry. The Shadow creatures were scarce at the time and didn't seem to be too worrisome, nor did the people in the town nearby even know of them. When her brother was killed in a raid, she was trusted to take over as Captain in his place. Eventually, some of the crew left and new members came. Charlie has seven years of experience, having started working in her position as the Captain at the age of twenty. The unjust views that were expressed by the King sickened Charlie and she eventually gathered the courage to stand up and attempt to fight his laws and revolt. Now, however, she's becoming increasingly worried that angering the King was a mistake. The Shadow creatures are beginning to multiply and Charlie feels that life could be worse than ever before if they continue to do so. Skilled in annihilating the creatures, she trains those on her side to fight them off. Eventually, with her skills of observation, she notes that Justin's disappearance seems to have a correlation with these creatures and vows to figure out what is causing it, as well as to rescue Justin from the King's clutches.
Appearance: Charlie has fiery red hair that's cut short, ending at her chin. It usually takes on a little of a bowl shape, strands sticking up at random ends. She has hazel eyes that turn green in the summer and brown in the winter. She's thin and stands at an average height for a young lady of her age. Her skin is always a little tanned, as she spends several hours of her time outside. She always wears her green bandana-- whether it be around her arm or in her hair. For the most part, Charlie wears tank tops and shorts, as they're quite simple to move around in. She also has several scars and doesn't usually bother covering them up, as she's been fighting for quite a long time. The most prominent one is the scar she has underneath her right eye, stretching across her cheek.
-----❈
Name: Phoebe Knight
Gender: Female
Age: 26
Element/Power: Earth
Skills: Phoebe is an extremely nimble carpenter. She uses her powers over Earth to manipulate metal, glass, sand, and crystal and can repair nearly anything that needs to be repaired. As a hobby, she also works with glass blowing and creates several little trinkets. She also enjoys painting and sketching. She can create maps and has a vast knowledge of geography. She has no skills whatsoever when it comes to fighting, however, and usually must hide away whenever the pirates are under attack.
Personality:Phoebe has always been a little bit of an oddball. She tends to clam up-- not because she's shy, but because she always just seems to be trapped in her own little world. As a child, her parents figured that she would die early on in her life due to her strange illness-- falling asleep on random occasions without any sort of warning was quite alarming. Because of that, no one ever expected very much from her. Phoebe is neutral about almost everything and rarely works up the temper or the nerve to get upset over anything and it's very rare for someone to genuinely upset her. She almost seems emotionless should a situation not stimulate her enough. In most cases, this is merely due to the fact that she has had very few social interactions with others before joining the pirates. And although it doesn't seem as though Phoebe cares much for anything at all, she's actually incredibly innocent, childish, and dreamy. She also harbors a lot of love for others. Phoebe may appear to be rather lazy and sleepy to most, but that is mainly just due to her condition on top of being a mellow, polite person. Phoebe tends to make up silly tales on the spot and has a simpler time talking to those younger than her than to those who are older or higher in status. However, if she's given some patience, she can be a very bright, pleasant and open person.
Short biography: Phoebe's family was never very wealthy. She grew up with narcolepsy, falling asleep at inconvenient times and seeming like dead weight to her parents. Even though she couldn't do much to aid them in their struggles with poverty, her parents cared for her very much-- trying their best to help her survive, despite the fact that her condition caused them to lack any faith that she would live past childhood. Her mother was executed after being wrongly accused of stealing something of dire importance from the palace when Phoebe was ten. Phoebe and her father lived in a small house together and he worked in a dangerous factory. She would fall asleep at inconvenient times and was tormented by horrific hallucinations and sleep paralysis. Although frail, Phoebe did as much housework as she could. Her father would teach her how to blow glass and do several crafts. She soaked up the knowledge like a sponge and proved to be an excellent craftswoman, paying a ton of attention to detail. Her father was growing old and too tired to do his job correctly and eventually they found themselves on the streets. To put food in their mouthes, Phoebe masqueraded as a male guard-- having the androgynous physique to pull it off. She called herself 'Peter'. Things went well for a few weeks. And then they took a harsh turn. She was discovered by one of the other guards one night-- and to keep him from telling the others her secret, she had to do anything he said. When the guard grew bored with her, he exposed her to his friends. As the King contemplated her punishment, the Queen took pity on her and helped her escape. In the midst of these events, her father died from starvation when she was nineteen. Phoebe attempted to tough things out on her own for a few years, finding shelter in an inn. She repaired things for no fee-- only for food and shelter in return. After meeting Charlie and impressing her with her carpeting skills, she was offered a position on the crew. Ever since, she has done her share of work and nurtures the crew should they get injured in a fight.
Appearance: Phoebe has blonde hair that reaches her back, straight like sticks. A few freckles dot her cheeks and has a rather youthful appearance, being small and somewhat underdeveloped at her age. Being unable to do too many activities without tiring herself, she lacks muscle and is very thin. She has almond, somewhat sleepy gray eyes that have blueish green speckles in them if one looks close enough. She wears her hair back in either a ponytail or a bun to keep the long strands out of her eyes and wears a tool belt around her waist. She also wears a brown messengers cap on her head, one of the few things she kept from her father.

Name: Lucy Foster
Gender: Female
Age: 13
Element/Power: Vapor/Air [Smoke]
Skills: Lucy is an escape artist. She can use limited air manipulation and limited water manipulation, which makes her a master when it comes to creating smoke. It proves to be an excellent diversion whenever she wants to get away with something. Lucy's very small and a bit of a sleuth, she could get away with murder if she wanted to. She's also trained in acrobatics and trapeze due to her time working for the circus. She's much better at dodging blows than she is at landing them.
Personality: Lucy has always been a bit of a loose cannon. She grew up with a man who could swallow a sword whole, a man who could breathe fire, another who could tame a lion. Monkeys that could ride unicycles and juggle. She wasn't taught etiquette or manners. She can make herself comfortable nearly anywhere and doesn't give anybody special treatment according to status. She thinks of everyone as equals-- which is something that tends to land her into trouble whenever she spits at the feet of royal guards. She'll say nearly anything without even thinking of the circumstances-- she's a spitfire and doesn't mind getting a little scrapped up from time to time. Despite being a bit of a trouble maker, Lucy's very good at keeping secrets-- primarily her own. She's also quite a skilled liar and only those who know her well can see right through them, as she has little quirks that identify when she's actually lying. She doesn't do it very often, but it's something she's learned through being a thief. She'll steal from anyone-- though if it's from someone she cares about, it's usually just for fun and she'll give the stolen object back within a day or two. Though she doesn't normally think before she jumps, she does everything quite calculatingly when it comes to stealing things.
Short biography: Lucy was born to an acrobat who could do magnificent things with water and Larry, a man who could breathe fire. She held abilities over both water and fire, just barely, limiting her to manipulating smoke. The family was a part of a traveling circus act. Her mother taught her acrobatics and trapeze when she was seven-- once she was eight, she already began to perform. Lucy grew to love attention and was a real crowd pleaser. However, things went south as the circus began to lose its' audience. In attempt to get them back, her mother was forced to do a dangerous routine that cost her her life. Lucy and her father left the circus after the incident, enraged and saddened. Without the circus, they were on the streets. Lucy and her father fell into a life of crime-- the two stole bread and vegetables quite frequently, conning those that could easily be conned. Her father found a place with the pirates and took Lucy with him-- placed in a new environment, Lucy was very stubborn and refused to get close to anyone. Aside from her father, Charlie was the only other person who could really get through to her. Due to the cruelty she's witnessed through the circus and the people out on the streets, she tends to come off as a bit of a brat-- brutally honest and never really seeming to care much about anyone. With the new developments, Lucy is willing to do anything she can to set the King's plans awry.
Appearance: Lucy has orangish blonde hair that's a little bit wavy, normally tied into low pigtails. She has large, youthful dark brown eyes and somewhat tanned skin. She typically wears jumpers with black stockings (torn and tattered at the knees) and boots. On top she'll normally wear a long brown coat. She tries to avoid looking as flashy as she did when she was with the circus, as to steal something effectively she knows she has to blend in with the crowd.

Name: Larry Foster
Gender: Male
Age: 34
Element/Power: Fire
Skills: Larry can breathe fire, shoot it from his palms, and burn someone just by touching them with his bare hands. Although it had taken years for him to master, he's very skilled with using his abilities and knows nearly every way possible that he can use them. He also frequently uses fire bombs and explosives as he fights, which is necessary for several of the tougher fights the crew faces. Although he isn't entirely agile, Larry can also effectively wield a sword and a bow and arrow. As he's very muscular, he's also quite skilled when it comes to hand-on-hand combat. He's a bit of a gentle giant and is very protective of others.
Personality: Larry was never a very smart man, but he was never really one to act without common sense at the same time. Larry is actually very careful and calculated when it comes to fighting and makes sure that anything important is out of harms way before making any blows. He usually thinks he has too much power to handle, as he's actually not very violent, despite his skills with several different kinds of weaponry. Despite his daunting appearance, Larry is actually quite a sweetheart and will put anyone's wellbeing before his own. After losing Ellen, he becomes especially protective over Lucy and won't let her get into too much trouble, as she's rather prone to doing. Of course, this also begins to serve true to Charlie and Justin and everyone else on the crew. In fact, sensing his absolute loyalty, Charlie had given him the position of second-in-command, should something ever happen to her. Larry doesn't tend to lose his temper over just anything-- but if you harm one of his friends, then you can expect that he'll toast you alive.
Short biography: Larry joined the circus at a young age as his abilities over fire were quite dangerous and destructive. With the exception of his mother, who tended to coddle him, no one really appreciated or wanted him around. Once he was old enough to set foot out of the house on his own, he joined the circus in order to better grasp his abilities and make some friends. In doing so, he met his wife, Ellen. She was a bit of an airhead and was very fun-loving, a little bit of a trouble maker. She was tiny, contrasting with how big he was. He grew very protective of her over time and grew to have a really big heart. Having no place to turn to, they continued to travel with the circus even as they had their first and only child, Lucy. Ellen was very nurturing and taught Larry how to tend and care for an infant. Over time, Ellen began to teach Lucy acrobatics and Lucy grew to be a very outgoing and bright young girl. Larry felt like he was a little out of place and didn't know exactly how to interact with his daughter on some occasions-- her relationship with her mother was so strong. After Ellen died in an accident during one of her dangerous acts, Larry and Lucy agreed that they needed to leave. They took to the streets-- and while Larry didn't like it too much, he resorted to crime in order to put food in his and Lucy's mouthes. Once he found out about the pirates and what they were doing to rebel against the King's laws, he knew that'd be the best place for them to go. Due to the loss of Ellen, he and Lucy grew very close and in most circumstances, he'll put her in front of himself or anyone else on the crew. He often advises that Lucy doesn't get involved in some of the major fights and is very protective of her.
Appearance: Larry is extremely tall and muscular. He's a dangerous and large man who could probably scare a whole group of royal guards away with just one glare. He has scars and burns on his arms, mostly from training and from fights that he's gotten into in the past. He wears practical and somewhat common clothes for the first part, always wearing a red scarf. He has short brown hair and dark brown eyes. And, due to spending hours in the sun, his skin is tanned.

Name: Simon Holloway
Gender: Male
Age: 28
Element/Power: Water
Skills: Since boyhood, Simon was trained to be a guard. Because of that, he has full mastery over his water manipulation and can apply it to battle. He can also wield several different kinds of weapons and is very good at reading people's expressions. Because of this, he can't be easily lied to and is actually very knowledgable-- he's brains and brawn wrapped in a single package, therefore landing him the status of one of the most highly praised guards the kingdom has known. Because of that, Simon was chosen to come along with the royal family on their travels.
Personality: It's nearly impossible for anyone to get Simon to laugh. He's very serious and doesn't let anything get in the way of business. He's never swayed by bribery or flattery and always does what he's asked to do, he's incredibly obedient and has been praised considerably for that. He's cautious and knowledgable, rarely calling for dire action unless he believes it's entirely necessary. Anger never seems to get the better of him, if only while he's in the middle of a brawl. He didn't always have this steely demeanor, but the harsh treatment he received from his family shaped him to be the person he is. Other than fighting and studying, Simon loves to swim and always feels at peace when he's in the water. He's a very passive person and has stopped caring much for anything at all. He serves who he's supposed to serve. Whether the kings laws are just or unjust doesn't really matter to him.
Short biography: Simon comes from a long line of royal guards. His great grandfather, grandfather, and father were all high ranking guards and it was just expected when he was born that that's what he would do as well. Simon liked to read and didn't care much for fighting, he would rather go outside and explore. He had his head in the clouds. His father didn't appreciate it, though, and made sure to burn or burry any books he found of Simons' that weren't meant for his studies. Simon was trained to be a guard starting from the age of twelve and wasn't allowed to do the things he loved to do. After years of this treatment and not having the courage to stick up from himself, Simon changed into the passive person he is now. Despite the fact that he's a guard for the corrupt king, Simon is actually a very morale person and won't kill anyone for amusement, like some of the guards would do. He's a lot more generous than he appears at first glance and it takes a lot to actually get to know him under his steely exterior.
Appearance: Simon has very short, dark brown hair and ocean blue eyes. He has a typically muscular build and stands at an average height for a man of his age. He wears the armor given to all of the royal guards and always makes sure that he doesn't look disheveled. Whenever he's off duty, he just wears typical street clothes. He doesn't care much for extravagance, despite his wealth. His skin is extremely tanned, as he spends almost all of his time outdoors.
