Fire Emblem: Sea of Wrath OOC
The Background:
Millennia ago, before Man first looked above his head and dreamed of what could be, there were the Ancients. Records of their appearance have long been destroyed, but what is known is that they seeded the planet with all forms of life. For centuries, they watched their work thrive. Many times, they intervened to save a species life. Because of this, many came to see them as Gods.
In their pride, the Ancients began overlooking their creations. One group in particular began to fall. At first, it was simply a fight or two between smaller clans. Then it began escalating. Soon, whole regions were embroiled in the first wars. Devastated, the Ancients could do little more than watch as the Fallen moved from region to region, killing as they went.
As a last-ditched attempt at quelling the fighting, many Ancients descended from their floating cities. At first, it looked as if the gesture worked. The fighting slowed. But soon, Fallen began to thirst for the powers of the Ancients. One night, under the cover of a new moon, a large group of Fallen swarmed the Ancients. Despite their technological handicap, the Fallen massacred the Ancients. Their blood was fed up, fueling the Fallen's power. One in particular became stronger than the rest, more cunning.
Dark times befell the world. Evil, unspeakable things were done, and all that had been created was threatened. Finally, unable to watch the horrors being committed, a group of Ancients banded together and bound the Fallen and their leader away. The cost was great; Many were taken by a wasting sickness. Others simply fell where they stood, dead. After the smoke cleared, only a handful of Ancients remained.
Learning from their follies, the Ancients abandoned their few remaining cities and hid them carefully. Then, stripping themselves of their technology, they mingled with the few remaining races. From this Second Beginning, three groups rose to dominance.
The Elves came first. Regal and thoughtful, Elves became the woodland lords, overseeing the tending of trees, woodland animals, and all aspects of life in the woods. For their efforts, longer life and keen senses were rewarded to the Elves. Woodland magic also came to them from the trees themselves, allowing better caring and protection of the woods.
After them rose Birdmen. Graceful though intimidating, Birdmen took to the skies and made it their domain. Roosts sprouted from the tops of mountains. Vigilant in their watching their new homes, Birdmen frequently turn away Outsiders. The lucky few who get into Birdmen territory frequently befall ill fortunes, though an even luckier few have been rescued from their own stupidity.
Finally, Humans rose to power. Quickly spreading, Humans were by far the least organized. From fire came the wheel. From wheels rose migration. From migration came the knowledge of old magic. From old magic came wars. From wars came gods. From gods came clerics and knights. From clerics and knights came crusades. Such is the story of Humans. Only in the last thousand years have they settled into some semblance of balance.
The Land:
Tayem'ere
1. Istin
Religious nation, home to the Great Temples of Anosh, Nyss, and Kuurin.
2. Ruhem
A great source of metals and minerals, Ruhem is the premium metalsmithing nation.
3. Honiaon
Many great war horses are breed in the plains of Honiaon.
4. Iyldine
This nation thrives on the business of information and is the only nation with an unearth Ancient library
5. Cyrad
A nation with strong ties to the sea.
6. Gaeris

7. Daniem

8. Lorieuth
Predominantly an Elven nation, the few human settlements lay outside Elven woodlands.
The Story:
Humans have recently discovered Ancient libraries. Sifting through them, they're making technological leaps and bounds every year. This find concerns the Elves the most, who still have legends concerning the Time of Blood and the Dark One. Still, with reckless abandon, Humans sift through the old tomes.
Meanwhile, a dark cult stirs in the shadows, wishing to bring about the resurrection of the Dark One and plunge the world into 10,000 years of darkness.
The Cast:
Ehoron | Rorik
Eternity
Deadman - D17
Lara | Sarah Feyon
The Literate Angel | Rose Maria Estaela
If anyone else still wishes to join, I'll keep the doors open until I post the thread. Once the thread is posted, the cast will be finalized and closed.

Appearance - Be descriptive, but don't make it five paragraphs long.
Brief Bio - Just that; brief. Include a few details that will have influenced your character's life, such as a death in the family or becoming a priest of a high church.
Equipment - No walking armories. Keep it between one and three weapons please. Generally, magic spells and melee do not mix.
Personality I intentionally left out. I want to see your characters personality in the thread, not in a little category.

Re: Fire Emblem: Sea of Wrath OOC
Character Sheet:
Name: Rorik
Age: 21
Gender: Male
Race: Human
Appearance:
Standing at 6'1 and weighing in at close to 240 lbs, Rorik is a large man. He keeps his dark brown hair cut short, something more for avoiding unpleasant accidents in the forge than for any other reason. His eyes are a light hazel color, generally filled with serious contemplation or mischievous light.
Brief Bio:
Born and raised in Istin, Rorik grew up in an extremely religious family. Life revolved around the Seven Deities, a fact that Rorik quickly grew out of. Much to the shock and ire of his parents, Rorik left the church at the age of 14. Within a month, his father came down hard and, after a lengthy and loud argument, Rorik went to the streets to make his own way.
An aging blacksmith took pity on him and sheltered him, gave him a job, food, and as much personal space as he wanted. In time, Rorik grew to respect the old man greatly, even to the point of considering him as a father. Even so, Rorik grew tired of the quiet life and began participating in arena matches to test his skills and earn gold. Nowadays, Rorik balances his life between blacksmithing, training, and fighting in the arena.
Equipment:
Two curved shortswords hang at Rorik's waist. Occasionally, Rorik will also sling his personal leafsword over one shoulder while fighting in the area or hunting. Beside them, Rorik also keeps a few vulneraries at his side for just-in-case purposes.

Re: Fire Emblem: Sea of Wrath OOC
Character Sheet:
Name: Rose Maria Estaela
Age: 21
Gender: Female
Race: Elf
Appearance: Rose stands a height of 5'9". She weighs about 120 lbs. She has long, pale blond hair that falls to the middle of her back. She has a kind face and a beautiful smile. She has a peachy, light complexion with no outstanding birthmarks or scars. She has light brown eyes that are usually filled with happiness.
Brief Bio: Rose grew up with a fairly well respected in the elven community in the nation of Lorieuth. She was expected to do achieve certain standards and act a certain way. She was surprisingly suppressed for her race. Tied to her obligations as a caretaker of nature. She was a free spirit and, while she was very in tune with her surroundings and was very skilled in woodland magic, she always felt like she was being forced into a role that she didn't want to be in.
Rose decided to shed herself of the oppression and ran from her home, causing her parents great embarrassment. Her dream was to travel the world and see all the races and experience everything the world had to offer. She has just started her journey.
Equipment: Rose carries a lovely dagger that is simple, but has small leaves and delicate flowers carved into the hilt and also the blade. Her style is more that of a magical tendency so she doesn't have great use for melee combat.

Re: Fire Emblem: Sea of Wrath OOC
Character Sheet:
Name: Sarah Feyon
Age: Twenty
Gender: Female
Race: Human
Appearance: Standing around 5'2" and weighing about 110 pounds, Sarah always has - and still does - looked young for her age. Her eyes are a shade of bright green, and her long, honey-blonde locks taper off in the back close to her shoulder blades, while coming down in layered bangs to just above her eyes. Longer sections at the side of her face are pulled back into a small braid on each side that connects at the back of her head, around her neck.
Brief Bio:
Much of Sarah's childhood was spent in her homeland of Daniem with her parents and siblings. Most of her days were made up of helping her mother in her shop, but Sarah knew from an early age that she wanted to travel and aid others on a scale that was larger than their small store. She left Daniem just before her fourteenth birthday - a late age to start, perhaps, but before that, her siblings had been too young to help at their shop, and she hadn't wanted to leave her mother to handle the business alone - and traveled to the Great Temple of Nyss, located in the nation of Istin.
Having just completed her clerical training, Sarah traveled with one of the priestesses who had handled her training, one last time, to Iyldine. The elder woman had wished to try and locate a few tomes on healing inside the vast library located in the nation, and Sarah hadn't wanted her to make the trip alone. Once they arrived, she had made sure that the priestess met up with someone who would be able to take her home once she was ready, and then Sarah bid the older woman goodbye, now ready to go out and accomplish what she had wanted to do ever since she was a child.
Equipment:
--Torch (x 2) - Sarah actually has a fairly large fear of the dark, and her mobility severly diminishes when left in a darkened area without a torch to carry. Thus, she always makes a good effort to have at least one light-stick in her pack, just in case.
--Her Heal Staff, naturally, because what kind of cleric would she be if she didn't have it with her?
--Vulenary (x 3)

We could always get started and then they could jump in whenever they make characters, couldn't we? After all, in Fire Emblem games, you don't get all the characters at once anyway.

It'll be up Tuesday, Wednesday at the latest. Girlfriend's b-day trip to Hurricane Harbor is tomorrow, so I'm not likely to get any work done on it then.

Re: Fire Emblem: Sea of Wrath OOC
Character Sheet:
Name: November "Novem" Rorian
Age: 24
Gender: male
Race: Elf
Appearance: Standing a somewhat lanky height of 6'1, Novem is a pale man. His tall slender stature is usually shrouded by a long flowing robe of white, with green tassels and blue wraps over it. Underneath, he wears dark blue pants held together with a white tie over his waist. His chest is usually bare beneath his robe, with a few scars coming upwards as well as inward from his sides (like claw marks). Further upwards, is a strong face. He has a somewhat gaunt yet handsome face, showing some soft nature to it. He has brilliant emerald green eyes, with shaggy black hair falling down to his shoulders and a few inches below in small worn waves. Both his ears are pierced, with ceremonial styled rings and plugs, with a chain dripping down from the lobe of his left ear- with the end being a small green tassel.
Brief Bio: Born in Lorieuth, Novem had a somewhat normal life ahead of him- at least that was the plan at first. His two Elven parents were highly involved with the woods and all that was around them. His mother, Alessa Rorian, was very involved with the order of things. She taught him early on to assure that all was accounted for, and to observe the many things he'd need to see that others wouldn't take into view. His father, Augusto Rorian, was a woodland guard. Strong and passionately protective, he was always fighting for his beliefs, and protecting the woods from the outsiders who wished it harm. Together, they instilled early morals and goals into the young Novem.
-
At the age of 14, Novem's parents both died in the burning of a nearby forest. Instead of running, they fought, and Novem was taken by his aunt to flee. When they were reported dead, Novem packed his things and decided to leave- ready to escape the lingering veil of his past.
-
Years have passed, and he has grown into a strong and analytical man. Now he is a mage of sorts, traveling and doing odd and end jobs to make his money. He keeps his goals and morals close to heart, and always does what he believes is right. After having been through what he's been through though, his only true weaknesses are getting close to people, and fire.
Equipment:
-Tome (Thunder)
-3 Vulenary
-1 Herb
> These things are kept in a small knapsack of dark blue that hangs at his side tied to his belt- usually hidden by his robe.

All characters accepted. I'm not too sure about what Sarah or Rose's big fears are though. I'd like to have some fear scenarios here and there.

Thanks for that Lara.
So we've got Fire and Dark so far. I need to come up with a good one for Rorik...

So this totally means Sarah and Novem can never be in a dark space together. :3 Sarah'd freak in the dark, and Novem'd freak when she made it light with a torch.
