Need advice on blog title

Hello, my fellow writing comrades! I need some writing advice, and I figured this was the best place to come. For those of you who don't know, I'm in graduate school for marine biology. Now like any good scientist, I want to communicate my research to others, but most of the time that takes place in scientific journals written in science-y jargon that the general public can't understand. Personally, I love talking about science to non-science people in a way that gets them excited about it, so I'm starting a blog to do just that. My goal is to bring together science and the pure art of writing by giving a real, human perspective on what goes on while doing science. My research involves SCUBA diving on artificial reefs and studying fish communities, so I feel like I already have an edge in that I'm doing something people often think about when they see marine biologists on TV.

But here's the problem. I need a catchy title for the blog. I can make the title and URL on wordpress.com anything I want and can change it if necessary, but I really want to get it right from the start. I want to get a lot of people following the blog to raise awareness about fisheries science and the importance of research, but if I keep changing the title and the URL, then that might frustrate readers and discourage them from keeping up with it.

Basically, I want a title that gets across the point that it has a marine focus and focuses on the harmony between science and art. I was playing around with the title "Science as Art," but it doesn't say anything about it focusing on the ocean. So here's where you, my fellow FoGgers, come into play! If you have any creative flashes of inspiration for a title or just want to share tidbits of advice, I would certainly appreciate it! And if you end up coming up with the title that I use for the blog, I will definitely give you credit for it!

How about "It is a Beauteous Ocean, Calm and Free," just kidding. That's a rip-off of a Keats poem I believe. Maybe something to the tune of "Roses are Red, The Sea is Blue, This Blog Informative and Artistic Too!" Oh geez... are you covered in cheese yet?

I was thinking along the lines of the Greek titan of the seas, Oceanus. It came to my mind first after all of those private studies on Greek, Egyptian, and ancient Roman mythology (the latter eventually being a blend of both of the first two, in dominance amongst other minor beliefs, into a mutli-religion culture). You can find a statue of Oceanus, as a matter of fact, in Rome. He's pretty much the center piece at the city's famous Trevi Fountain.

Thanks for the suggestions so far, guys! Here's a running list of the possible titles so far:

Lots of cheese wiz - Artorius (Hahahaha... )
Oceanus - Ghost Writer
Fantasea - Kalon

Hmmm...Fantasea has potential! It's definitely catchy and easy for people to remember. At first I was a little concerned that it might make readers think it's a completely fictional blog, but I could always add a subtitle on the main page to clarify and keep the URL simple. I did a quick google search, and I couldn't find any blogs by that title, but it is the name for a line of Nikon underwater camera housings. I wonder if that would be a problem down the road if the blog takes off?

I vote fantasea, its cool, catchy, and original. As for the confusion, the products being presented are very much different so there shouldn't be too many problems.

Well, I kind of did a 180 on the title today. I got some other opinions on the idea Fantasea, and I'm worried that it's almost a little too clever. People may see the play on words and not understand the seriousness of the message I'm trying to deliver. It gets across the creative aspect of the blog but overlooks the fact that I'm still a serious scientist trying to communicate my work, albeit in a fun manner.

I don't know if anyone has listened to John Denver, but he's written songs trying to raise awareness about the environment. Someone suggested I listen to "Calypso" and "Amazon," and I was looking through the "Amazon" lyrics when I started thinking.

"Let this be a voice for the mountains
Let this be a voice for the river
Let this be a voice for the forest
Let this be a voice for the flowers
Let this be a voice for the ocean"

The word "voice" really stuck out to me, along with the word "sea" that you all have been suggesting. I'm trying to be a voice, not just for my research but a much broader message. My goal is to make people really care about the ocean through the voice of my written words. So I started playing around with titles along those lines...

"Voice for the Ocean" - Too word-for-word from his lyrics
"Voice of the Ocean" - "Ocean" just doesn't have the right ring to it
"Voice of the Sea" - Getting closer!
"Voice from the Sea" - Now we're talking. I prefer "from" as opposed to "of" because I dive in the ocean and return from it to tell about my experiences.

So now, my dear FoG comrades, I would like to officially propose "Voice from the Sea" as a working title to get your opinions. Be as brutally honest as possible, and always feel free to keep suggesting other options.
