Hi everyone! I promise I can write I just hate doing bios. So this probably won’t be that long OR to fantastic.

Name: Mariel Verdi-Ursa

Age: 20

Gender: Female

Race: Witch

Appearance: Mari (as she prefers to be called) is exactly five feet tall. Brown curls frame a small round face with a small nose and large brown eyes. A few freckles were scattered over her cheeks, however they are mostly hidden by the ruddy tan that working for a living gets you. Around her neck hangs a necklace with an oak wood pendant in the shape of a bear. This is often tucked beneath the neck of her shirt. She wears a thick brown travelers cloak with tons of pockets.

Arsenal: Mari carries a staff, which she uses as a walking stick. It is smooth except for the center grip, which is decorated with vines. If the grip is twisted six inch long blades come out from either end. She has a spell book and her pockets are filled with different herbs. She specializes in plant magick.

Bio: Mariel was born in Tallon before the war reached them. She lived in a coven of sixteen, all close relatives to some degree. They served as the doctors to their village. When the war came to Tallon the adults in her coven went to war. They were killed when their medic tent went under heavy fire. The little coven which now had five members (the oldest being fifteen) did their best to keep on going. They did their best to teach themselves their art and help their village. It was during this time that Mari went through the Ordeal of Witchcraft and became an adult at the age of sixteen. She chose her Talent (the form of magic she was to specialize in) and was given her surname, which (unlike most cultures) is not the family name, but a name that describes the individual. She also received her necklace, which marks her as a witch. Each pendant on a witch’s necklace is unique to that witch. Soon after that she left to travel, she hoped to settle in a big city. Mari spent the next few years traveling around, stopping in places that needed help. She spends her time mastering her Talent and looking for herbs. She was in Fossa during the siege and now tends to those injured in the attack.

This should make navigation of the intro post ten times easier. You can still find what you need, but without all the clutter. If you have any suggestions as to info I should add, let me know

Don't worry about that. The RP has been moving VERY fast, much to my amazement and amusement. Smile

However, a post is only required once per week if you noticed in the intro post, although I recommend that you keep up with the pace of the rest of the players as it could get complicated if you didn't, but don't worry. Just try to incorporate arriving at the Lake of Tears into your post. It would be nice if you met up with the party, but is not required.

EDIT: The Name of the RP has changed to Tales From Enola: Episode 1- The Mirror, but for ease of reading the OOC thread title, I'll keep it unchanged here.

Also no one gets an internet cookie. The reference was to Hagrid, from the first book, when he gives Harry his cloak to use as a blanket.

Hope I can still join you, jolly fellas and gals. I won't reveal my character's full story in the bio, since I want him to open up to your characters as the story progresses.

Name: Alester Treshire
Age: 30
Gender: Male
Race: Human
Appearance: 6’ 1” tall, Alester’s constitution is not as imposing as it is lithe and athletic. His jaw length brown hair and hazel eyes are also nothing to be noted, and with the exception of a small scar crossing the left-most rim of his left eyebrow, his features are pretty average, if somewhat handsome.
For wear, Alester dons simple clothes and accessories; a black tunic over steel chain mail, dark trousers, leggings, and boots.

Arsenal: The only thing Alester needs is his trusty longsword. He also conceals a few throwing knives within his garbs, just in case the enemy is far out of reach.

Bio: A man in search of his past. Alester woke up, quite literally, lying in a ditch somewhere. Battle-scarred and sore, his clothes in tatters, he couldn’t remember who he was or where he’d come from. The only thing he remembered was a very specific set of words, or rather, a name: Alester Treshire.
Assuming this new identity, Alester tried to limp his way back to civilization. However, he was “mugged” on the road by a small group of bandits who thought they could advantage of a wounded traveler. They soon discovered how wrong they were, when Alester used their own blades and weapons against them; fierce and precise, like a seasoned warrior. Such skills came naturally to him, even though he couldn’t recall how he’d gotten them. Soon after the incident, Alester arrived at Tallon with hands soaked in the blood of his enemies…and his own. Upon finding him in such a deplorable state, the natives of the land took Alester into their tribe and nursed him back to good health. One of them in specific, a woman going by the name of Cuan L’ath, stayed with Alester through the worst of his injuries, telling him stories of her culture and teaching him the ways of Tallon’s inhabitants.
When he was able to walk again, Alester decided to take Cuan as his wife and live peacefully among the people of Tallon until the end of his days; or so it would’ve been, should fate and tragedy had not intertwined on the day he lost everything but his desire for vengeance…

EDIT: I'll be posting tomorrow morning. I'm going to postpone the post because well, simply put, there seems to be many avenues for dialogue at this point and I really don't know what to do. I'll be PMing all of you today, since i see no way we'd all be able to collab at one time. However, if you did feel like collaborating all at once, I'd say we meet between 6-7 PM PACIFIC TIME. We would meet in the chatbox.

If anyone can't make it, I'll try and send out PM's and get this thing going in the right direction.

I feel like the collab via PMs are a tad redundant. If you'd given us more time to input on timing for the collab I'm sure all of us could have been there.

For instance I left for work expecting you to post in the forum. When I got home I'd already missed the collab time and I wasn't quite sure what was going on.

So perhaps if everyone just inputed an available time period we could probably work it out.

Very good idea Mariel. I apologize you had to leave work, but that was the only available time for me before I left for 4th of July weekend, on vacation. If everyone could post a good time for meeting, according to their schedule that would be great. However, we may NEED to do this through PM, I understand everyone would have seen the post and know what it entails, but right now theres not much that can be done without a full group collab. At that point the forum post would simply make it official, although, you guys do know I have a tendency of writing events not related to exactly what is going on at the time.

That being said, does anyone else have a suggestsion?

EDIT: You MAY add more dialogue. However, remember to make it short, there's a white knight nearby. You may attack him and use him how you wish, but remember, he is a legendary warrior, skilled in "the dark arts." Interpret that how you will, but remember he will not go down easy by any means.
