Is Anyone Still Playing Pokemon (Handheld Versions)
Sooooooooo....
I'm playing my Heart Gold version of Pokemon and I was curious if anyone else on FoG is playing, has the games, wants to battle or trade or anything?! =D I think it would be bunches of fun to do the whole thing with each other aside from roleplaying!
Y/N ?

I stopped playing after the original silver was released. Not that the games got bad, just that it wasn't the original 150 anymore so I lost interest in all the new species.
I still play Yellow version though, and I'd like to trade for a weedle ^_^

I own yellow, had blue, red, silver, and gold and stopped with Crystal as well (same series of 150 pokemon). I quit when they made the ones after, but HeartGold and SoulSilver are just silver and gold remade for the latest handheld because it does not play GameBoy cartridges. ;]

Yellow version does not have the compatibility to trade across the nation.

You may be on to something, sir!
But I imagine it is cheaper to buy a DS AND the game than it is to buy a charger in length across states/country!

Re: Is Anyone Still Playing Pokemon (Handheld Versions)
I've been playing ever since they released the original Gold and Silver versions - Silver was actually my first Pokemon game. I've played through each generation since. I would love to trade and battle with people, but unfortunately the Wi-Fi in my dorm is encrypted and won't let me log onto the Nintendo Wi-Fi connection with my DS. I'll have to wait until I get my own place with its own Wi-Fi network or go home for Thanksgiving and Christmas.

I remember playing Pokemon Red on ye old Gameboy Pocket; you know, that little black and white thing? Haha! I'm now playing Pokemon Ruby on my Motorola Xoom tablet. I downloaded a DOM reader from the Android market and can now rip hundreds of classic Gameboy games from online archives. Pokemon on a touch screen is epic; that's all I have to say.

Stopped playing after Crystal. Now it's just getting stale. There's like 5948473 Pokemon now and it's all just too convoluted.

Well, I bought HeartGold, just because the last pokemon I played was the original Gold version and I wanted to see what they did with it. I was crazy nostalgic when I played through it with the better graphics and relived so many memories!
Ah, good times...
