Alright, here goes!
I've had this idea for a while.

Imagine yourself doing something bad...really bad. Nobody saw you, and they haven't caught you...yet. It's only a matter of time before someone catches on and you end up spending the rest of your life in prison, or worse.
Imagine yourself at the end of your rope. Life is crashing down on you and suicide has become a viable option, but you just don't have the guts.
Suppose you've burned a few bridges in your life. You've got no friends, your job sucks, and you want a fresh start.
Maybe the thrill of adventure is more your speed? If you remotely feel like you fit into what's been described here...

We can fix everything for you...we offer:
-Great pay
-Political connections on the highest level
-Identity forgery
-A chance to see the world

Of course it comes at a price. You do a little job for us, on our terms, and we will give you what we promised. Think you aren't cut out for dirty work? We'll train you for free.
Just don't try to run out on us, because we will find you.

Ok, so that's the little monologue everyone gets. I don't know why I formatted it that way, it just looked attractive on paper.
I don't know what time period/universe/etc I want to do this in, because it could apply to many things. The idea is that there's this organization that functions like a real-world Private Military Company (or PMC). They exist on the very edge of what could be considered 'legal', and offer their conscripts a fresh start on life, a new identity (officially recognized by world governments), and a hefty sum of money, assuming the person survives long enough to get it. The idea was for it to be a company that takes illegal military contracts and does horrific things that no government would allow, but would really like to get done.

Upon recruiting their conscripts, the company trains them in conventional and some unconventional warfare, and allows them to get a new identity forged in any nationality, (if they so choose; a thrill seeker may not want a new name whereas a criminal on the run will want his/her record wiped clean).

There are, of course, stipulations:
While you work for the company, they own you. You do what they tell you, when they tell you, and how they tell you to do it. Insubordination, deserting, and any other form of misconduct is handled at the discretion of your superiors. If they see fit, you can be killed on site, or simply given a warning.
If you mess up on the job, they drop you. If you're captured by the enemy, you're at their mercy; the company does not care about you or your worthless life.
You volunteer to join, but you can only leave when the job is done. The jobs are not easy. In fact, many are suicide missions.
If you succeed, then the company celebrates its awesomeness to potential clients and jockeys their position above other 'tactical solution' companies.
If you fail, the company does not care. To them (and the rest of the world) you are just a dead criminal/foreigner/thrill seeking idiot.

If anyone is interested in something like this, please say so! I haven't decided on the setting (as mentioned above) and would like some help deciding. If anyone wants to take charge of this, by all means, please do. I'm not an experienced GM, so at least having a co-owner would be very much appreciated!

I'm intrigued, DeadEye. This sounds like my kind of thing.

Just to throw my two cents in here, I think that modern day would be good for this, though it would fit in a lot of time periods.

Well...after some deliberation I think I might just do this as a solo-project for your (FOG community) enjoyment and post it in the appropriate area in a chapter to chapter format. It isn't going to be that long, but it's going to focus on a character I recently made and became fond of. If interest in this story is high enough, I'll open it into an RP though.
