Re: Emoria: OOC
Emorians, sorry I've been absent lately. Busy schedule (HOW? I don't work, I don't have school, how the hell am I always busy????) on top of flaky internet = Ryona not on FOG much. Honestly, if you've got me on facebook that is the quickest way to get in touch with me if you need something.

Re: Emoria: OOC
Great solution for Morgarath.
We should call it... the Cosomon.
C.O.S.O.M.O.N.
the Council of Stewards of the Mountains of Night
(I'm going to have to remember this for some sci-fi...
The Council of Stewards for the Mountains of Silence--or, COSMOS
something like that. ^^ Fun with acronyms.)
Awesome new plan for the Info thread, Silvone! Seems quite ambitious, and I think it'll be nothing short of epic to have everybody flesh out everything. xD
And YAY! I'm so glad to have Gunneh coming back!
Please send PM's. The three of us, Gunneh, Dax and myself, need to conspire. ^^

Re: Emoria: OOC
Sorry for not having done anything lately, but everything seems to go against me.
This next week is the fall break for us, and we were going to spain. The sea, the temperature, the relaxing, ah...
Too bad the Spaniards decided to go on a general strike on the exact date our flight were scheduled... So now we're going to Denmark instead, and there is not room for me. Oh well.. Got lots of time next week then.
So I made these renders of a possible vangara priestess, who deals with dragons.
Dragons, I think, is a very rare species, and exists only on Arcona. They are mostly shy of the other races, but a few have taken a liking to the Vangara. Those Dragons pick out a Vangara of the opposite gender (don't ask me why, it's just how it is ) and bonds in blood. This is the same as when two Vangara bond in blood to be able to 'feel' with the other, a common marriage ritual. However, a Dragon's blood is so strong it completely dominates the bond and the Vangara becomes a slave to the Dragon. This allows the Dragon to speak to the other races, as it cannot speak in the common languages. A dragon bonded Vangara is usually recognized by the much paler skin and is often called a Dragon Priest/Priestess.
Dragons are generally hostile towards the company of other races, but those who bond with the Vangara are among the more peaceful ones. But still, no Dragons will willingly go with the rule of another being.
And a little about their power: Dragons can breathe fire. The workings are a little different than an elemental summoning fire; a highly flammable liquid is produced in the gizzard, which usually helps in digesting whatever the dragon eats. But shortly after coming in contact with air, it explodes. Thus, by vomiting, the liquid is forcefully expelled and as it ignites it propels the rest of the liquid out of the dragon's jaws. The speed which the fire is propelled at is about a galloping horse, and it can reach about 175 feet.
Because of this, a Dragon has a limited amount of fire. The liquid slowly regenerates; a empty gizzard is filled in about three to four hours and gives enough fire for about four to six minutes of continuously vomiting.
How's that?

What? I need to tell you not to screw...
Oh, you mean screw with the dragons. Heh, heh... Of course, I knew that.
Anyway, I think I need to make some deadlines for myself, or I'll never get it done.

Re: Emoria: OOC
I have added the info to the Aqualyte section (which needs some serious work, but maybe Danger, Ryona and I will flesh them out in our arc), the Jasidin Sorceresses, and the Arbian culture. I will probably do mine next, and then after that it will be random. Unless someone wants to call the next spot...

Silv, good work on the Aqualyte info. Yeah, it is lacking a lot. I'll get to thinking up some ideas, and bounce them around with you and Ryona to see if we cant come up with anything for them

Re: Emoria: OOC
I made it through Plagues. well done! Are we supposed to know what exactly was happening to that woman in the first section? Cause I wasn't quite sure, but also my head hasn't been on straight the past few days...Also can I get a general idea of what you think the numbers are, for soldiers, ghouls and survivors?
I'll get to eternity's post soon.
Edit: Also, was vatienne there from day one of the attack or did they come as aid?

Ghouls are alot.
Survivors I have no idea, but I can tell you there are about 1.5k V soldiers in Zin right now. That is all I know. It should all be explained in my post.

I just wanted to make sure there weren't any pre concieved notions about the numbers that weren't coming out IC, that way I don't contradict anybody when my post comes.

Haha, at first I thought you were using the symbol V as a roman numeral, and then I realized that wasn't right...and figured out it must have been K. haha

Re: Emoria: OOC
I'll read Chainlinc and Crazy Hobo's character sheets today and post my thoughts/concerns, if I have any Just one question from my initial skim, do you already pick a world-space, Chainlinc? I saw a link to a map in Crazy Hobo's, but not in yours. You may have described its location, which works for me, but like I said I just skimmed it quickly.

Re: Emoria: OOC
They don't have a specific space on the map, at least they not as I have originally imagined them. They have a Citadel of unknown location in the middle of the ocean at the moment, but if that's unacceptable I can move it off the coast of a continent or else just drop it on the map somewhere. They're not really a centralized race, so, yeah.

Re: Emoria: OOC
Ok. Let me read through your character sheet and I'll let you know.
Chainlinc3 has offered to make a wiki page for Emoria, which will make inputing and editing information a whole lot easier, and it will be accessible to everyone. I will still be working on the information thread on-site, but having two options can only help, you know? That way if I fall behind, or disappear, the wiki page will still be there.

Re: Emoria: OOC
Ok, so I added about 5 paragraphs to my post, and they are indeed important paragraphs. I did that and I heavily corrected and reviewed my post. When I had posted it last night it was devilishly late and I was horribly tired and yet I posted anyway. It wasn't the smartest thing I have ever done, but still.
I heavily recommend you all re read the post if it is not already done because the old one is obsolete. ^^
And DAMMIT, even with 5 more paragraphs and edited sentences, my post is STILL shorter than Eternity's by one THOUSAND words. >.>
lol
Anyway, I hope you all like the uograded post.
And Chain, I love you. Three cheers for a wiki page!
You can be damn sure that I will fill up everything under Vatienne feverishly and fully!

Re: Emoria: OOC
I just finished reading everything and OH MY GOSH. I don't know how the hell I am supposed to keep up with you guys. Suffice to say it might take me a while to get a decent post up. No later than tuesday, which is Silv's next day off. If you guys have any thoughts on how you want my post to go let me know. I will start with the beginning of the raid and end with her figuring out the reverse healing power....unless you think I should wait on that.

Re: Emoria: OOC
Well, if you have any concerns/questions, I a here to clear things up if you wish.
And I must say, I am pleasantly surprised how long the posts have been in Sretin compared to the others. xD
Because once you get to know the basic lore, everything falls in place. Most of the things get finalized in the IRC, though, Ryona, so you may want to drop in there on sometimes if you can find the time. I know you have been horribly busy, so it is all good.

It's hard for me to sit in chat with Taeo always wanting me to do this or that. It's easier if people ask me to come on at specific times and I plan for it.

Ryona, if it makes you feel any better, it took me eight hours(my entire day off) to get that post done. And the number probably jumps to sixteen if you include the information gathering I had to do. >_>

Re: Emoria: OOC
I propose you write it down, then. That helps me on particularly long posts and makes me feel like I have written everything I wanted.
It would be a checklist, if you want.
- Chickens
- Elephants
- Horses
Those would be the subjects you want to talk about, then you think about what the logical progression would be. So you then just reorder it in the way you want to write it.
- Horses
- Chickens
- Elephants
Sorry for my horrible example, but I hope you sort of get what I am trying to say. :S
Oh, and my post also took me about 2-3 hours to type out, plus an extra .5 - 1 hour to correct it and add to it today.
