Monster Hunting, Coast to Coast (xraineyesx & MSurber90)
Okay, I don't have a set story in mind, but we can start working on one if you like. I'll go ahead and post the character sheet as well as my character when he's done. Are you cool with posting pics for character appearances?

Name: Jeffery Black
Age: 30
Appearance: image
Biography
Jeffery was born in Tucson, Arizona in 1980. His parents moved around often as his father was a surgeon in the United States Army, a career path Jeffery found appealing until he graduated high school. When he was nineteen, Jeffery moved back to Arizona, where he worked as a mechanic until an experience led him to choose his current lifestyle of drifting hunter of the preternatural.
Since then, he has traveled across the country in his 1968 Pontiac Firebird, following promising leads and investigating other worldly occurrences. In some cases, his work comes to a dead end. In others, he faces life or death situations as he combats demons, ghouls, vampires, and more with an array of weapons; anything from firearms, blades, or just plain fire.
Of course, the hunter's lifestyle does not pay extremely well. Jeffery relies much on his skill as a blackjack player to finance his activities.
Currently, he has been operating in the eastern states, investigating rumors of a series of disappearances in Pennsylvania.

I am fine with however you want to describe him. It is your idea, after all. And story might arise from the roleplay itself. I don't really have anything awesome in mind right now, but we can work on it, if you want.
I'll have my character sheet up when I finish it.

Re: Monster Hunting, Coast to Coast (xraineyesx & MSurber90)
Thanks! Here it is!
Oh yeah, I am the exact same way with personalities. Prefer to develop them than try to describe them in a few short sentences.
Name:
Karrie Jackson
Age:
Twenty-seven
Appearance:
Karrie is short, only 5'2", but she is slender. Pixie-ish might be a good way to describe her. She has short, choppy, dark brown hair with red streaks through it. Her face is angular and pretty with cat-like green eyes. Her mouth is little and her lips are a pale pink. She has a light dusting of freckles over the bridge of her nose and her cheek bones.
Personality:
To be developed.
Biography:
Karrie came from a small town in Pennsylvania, and she grew up in surrounded by this-is-haunted's and that-is-haunted's, which developed her interest in the supernatural. She and her friends spent their teen years 'ghost-hunting' in the area, looking for ghosts and the haunted.
She came from a family that was pretty much the standard in her town: a mother, a father, and two siblings, both of which were boys, which led to Karrie being somewhat of a tomboy in her attitude. It also led to her being extremely girly in her appearance.

Awesome! I like it a bunch.
When do you want to start? And I'm assuming you plan on him bumping into Karrie in PA since they're both chasing the supernatural in that area?

I'll post up the IC as soon as I have gotten around to writing the first post. And yeah, I imagine that's how they'll run into each other. Quick Q: Is she a hunter the same as him or merely someone who investigates out of enjoyment and curiosity?

Re: Monster Hunting, Coast to Coast (xraineyesx & MSurber90)
I was thinking she had started out as just a curious investigator but has progressed into a self-trained hunter after spending years at it.
And alrighty! Just let me know when it is up.

Sorry it's taking so long. A quick note: I know next to nothing about Pennsylvania, so my descriptions may be terrible.

(Note: I live here. I know nothing about the southwest, however. It's on the wrong side of the country for me to know about it. I've lived up and down this side though. So it's okay. I'll offer some guidance if you need. PA is all hills, fields, and trees. Very green. Very forest-y. Lots of rural, lots of farms, lots of wildlife. Trucks and tractors. And Amish people.)
It's okay. Take your time! Good writing can't be rushed!

That's almost exactly what I had pictured. Lots of farmhouses, some of them empty and abandoned.

Yeah, a shitton of them, honestly. PA is supposed to be really, really, really haunted by the way. And there are tons of farms houses, both working and empty and burned down and what-have-you. They're everywhere.

One of the primary reasons I want to visit that state. I could, now that I have a vehicle.... Hm...

PA is gorgeous, and there's no short supply of the haunted or supposed haunted, depending on what you belief.
Don't go in the winter. By which I mean anytime between mid-October and late April. Because there will be snow. And there will be a lot of it. And it will be cold. And it will be teh suck.

Again, I'm sorry this is taking long. Minor case of writer's block as I'm trying to extend this beyond two paragraphs.

We would if I wasn't having so much trouble working on the intro post last night. Now that I've had a good sleep, I'll start working on it again.
ETA: Here's an idea. How would you feel about doing the intro post and starting the IC?
