In a world much like Earth, in the furthest reaches of time and space there is a place the Ancients once called the Seiiki or Sanctuary. This land is rich with magic, the most glorious natural wonders, and all of the latest technologies humans could possibly want or need... but there is also great turmoil in the Seiiki. For thousands of years the Magi warriors protected the Seiiki and its people with ancient magic, but with increasing numbers in the population and a dwindling number of the Magi... their livelihood and the lives of millions are being threatened.

These Magi are trained warriors, artists of magic, and powerful summoners. Their training is vicious and unforgiving and for those who fail to possess the heart and pulsating spirit of a Master Magi.... will forever walk the earth severed from the Seiiki.

Summoners - Those who are given a path to master the Magi arts are given a Guardian. This path is strenuous and taxing on the body and the soul, but the few that succeed will forever be bound with a powerful entity to guide and protect them. These guardians are unique to each Magi and once bound never change.

Divine guardians grant the Magi eternal life... but this requires the Magi to sacrifice something worthy of their divinity. These sacrifices are not known immediately to the Magi but are revealed during the last of their elite training.

Background: Khim is the youngest of two children raised by Landon and Gaile Saiger; a successful businessman and his wife who made her living as an artist and musician. They lived a moderately comfortable life in their village home, but the family's absolute pride and joy had been Khim's older brother... Soul. When Soul had begun his Magi training in the spring, Khim's parents couldn't have been more proud. In the winter of that same year, his body was returned to them after a Seiiki Temple raid cost him his life.

Khim rigorously began study of the Magi arts after the murder of her brother and out of both fascination for the skills and with a young lust for revenge, she informed her parents she would begin her training the following spring. When they profusely denied her the opportunity to train with the Magi Elders, Khim ran away from home to seek the training on her own and chose never to see her family again... they had become merely a burden on her progress to becoming a true Magi Warrior, strong with ancient magic. When the Magi Elder took her in, she became one of the youngest students and one of even fewer females. During her training, Khim met with "Euri" Jaeger... a skilled fighter she believed was the only one who truly understood her need to finally put her brother to rest. This bond forged with Euri would last years and together they even completed their Guardian training.

Background:

Euridyce, also known as Dyce to many, came from a rich family of Magi merchants, the Jagers, who sought harmony between magic and technology. How have the Jagers managed to accomplish such a feat remains shrouded in mystery, but the Seiiki council acknowledged their accomplishment and thus, gave them the lead role in supplying technology to the world. It was that fruitful relationship between the Jagers and the Seiiki council that gave riches to the Jagers that could last hundreds of generations throughout their bloodline. However, during the young years of Euridyce, one fateful day changed everything...

An unknown organization of Elite Magi Warriors has risen from the depths of darkness to wreak havoc upon Seiiki's inhabitants, their reason? Unclear. Their goal? Nobody knows. The once peaceful Seiiki suddenly became a battlefield. Houses burned left and right, people died everywhere. Those who resisted were mercilessly slaughtered, and those who submitted were turned to slaves. Skilled warriors were spared by the unknown organization and were forced to join their ranks. But the organization had no intent of stopping there. They set their eyes upon the Jagers and their successful harmonization of Magic and Technology, seeking to increase their power even more through means of advanced weaponry.

Fearing for the worst, Lysander Jager, the young Euridyce's father, instructed his most trusted men to take his son, along with a device to somewhere far away. Being a Magi himself, Lysander Jager would not allow their family's secret to fall into the hands of the unjust. It was a fierce battle. Many have died and even more were injured, but the unjust prevailed. With his last leg of strength, Lysander Jager destroyed their lifelong accomplishment along with everything related to it leaving the organization no means to resurrect what they have accomplished. Victory came at a high price.

In the peaceful town of Sevii, many years later, Euridyce grew to be a very skilled magi warrior under the tutelage of Sevii's Elder Magi, Reonole. Here, he met Khim Saiger, a runaway fascinated with Magi Arts and Guardians. Both of them trained together since their childhood and soon found themselves sharing a strong bond of friendship. This was also the time Euridyce earned another nickname thanks to Khim Saiger. She was the only one Euridyce allowed to call him by the name "Euri".

After finishing his training and attaining a Guardian named Yvone, Euridyce sets out to join a resistance faction called Swords of Force, a group of Magi Warriors who vowed to put an end to the dark organization that remained elusive throughout the years. Euridyce kept this a secret from Khim for he knew she would tag along and get herself tangled up in a mess where both of them could possibly die, he did not want that. He was out to seek revenge and he was not too keen with the idea of dragging others along with him and his vendetta.

The profile update is perfect! Now, with things set in motion, we could also stop using the private messaging and talk about things here. Works much easier for me in a sense.

I'm glad you like it! I figured throwing in a bit of family drama for Khim would give her reason to run away.

True, it would be awkward to know that she ran away because she thinks her parents were burdens to her own prowess. With what you have done, what she thinks about her parents becomes superficial and could very well be understood as a mask she wears to hide what she truly feels. It was splendid.

Now, I have posted and will try to flesh out more details about certain characters that would play important roles for story development. I will have their profiles up in the OOC for reference later on.

Oh yeah, I have posted as well. One thing though, I really like lengthy, meaningful posts so if it's not too much to ask, could you please kick the gears another notch? If you find it troublesome, let me know so we can work things out.

Background:

Reonole Sirius, leader of the Seiiki Council of Elder Magi. Respected for his wisdom and legendary accomplishment of keeping the peace of Seiiki for thousands of years. A kind hearted man who loved the people of Seiiki more than his own, he would willingly die for his people in exchange for their happiness.

However, when catastrophe struck Seiiki, Reonole was forced to watch his people die helplessly against the onslaught of a dark organization who called themselves Diablos. He was taken into hiding unwillingly by the rest of the council who believed that he was the last hope they had of restoring the peace Seiiki once had. Despite his protests, Reonole Sirius was transported to the remote town of Sevii in the outskirts of Seikki to watch his beloved people face the chaos without him.

The weight of the transpiring events bore hatred within his heart and he vowed revenge against the organization no matter how long it would take. But for Reonole to accomplish that, he would need warriors, not just any warrior but those rare gifted ones, capable of being able to harness the power of the Guardians. It was a long wait he knew, and he needed to protect the last untainted land he had to start anew.

Summoning his greedy Guardian Abraxas, Reonole tried to use his Guardian's power to protect Sevii, but was denied by Abraxas. His Guardian wanted something in return, for what Reonole asked of him was something far greater than the value of their own pact. It was Reonole's immortality for the safety of Sevii. For Reonole Sirius, it was a small price to pay. After his deal with Abraxas, Reonole was given access to the Forbidden Magi Art, Sanctum which has the ability to completely hide the whole of Sevii from the outside world.

With a good hundred years remaining in his life force, Reonole Sirius' waiting for the fated warriors who would free Seiiki from the organization's grasp began...

Background:

A hot blooded, free spirited man who loved the way of life in Seiiki. Skilled with the blades and average with Magi Arts, Cartigan was one of the few who refused to submit under the rule of the organization. It was the time of his marriage that led him to the life of a resistance leader. Yulia, his wife to be, was killed in the sudden conflict between Magi Warriors and the organization on the day of their wedding in the city of Lilica. He was one of the very few survivors that day.

Having lost his reason to live, Cartigan threw himself into battle, seeking the dogs of the organization and taking them down with his Twin Heat Blades alone. Though he may be mediocre when it comes to Magi Arts, his skill with swords is unparalleled which more than makes up for his lack of prowess in the field of Magic Combat.

It did not take long for the people of Lilica to notice his doing and sympathized with his cause. Gaining friends along the way, Cartigan led his handful of men through thick and thin, chasing the elusive members of the organization through hell and back. It was when he finally liberated Lilica that people came to acknowledge him as their savior. Having accomplished such a feat, many people of different sorts and skill became drawn to him. Hence, the birth of the resistance faction, Swords of Force.

Their primary base lies in the city of Lilica which they vowed to protect against the clutches of the organization. Somehow, the people have found a piece of the life they used to live in Seiiki under the protection of Cartigan. Having realized his accomplishments, Cartigan found a new reason to continue living. What happened to him was a catalyst for a greater good. At least, that was what he believed in.

To this day, Cartigan and his band of fighters continue to battle against the organization despite the unfavorable odds and little to no chance of attaining victory. His vow to give up his life for the people is something he holds with pride. According to him, "If the cowards who chose to hide themselves and look away are wise, I would gladly be the foolish coward who stands and fights till my last breath!"

Background:

Known only as Abel in the organization Diablos, this man has rapidly risen their ranks through sheer talent. He was an undeniable genius of the battlefield and has led many of Diablos' operations to bring down the Elder Magi Council of Seiiki to their knees. He achieved so with flying colors. Rumor goes around the ranks of Diablos that Abel's attitude is completely different when not fighting. Many who does not know Abel would easily be led to believe that his loyalty to Diablos is only skin deep. All of them were proven wrong by Abel himself countless times.

Skilled in both the arts of swordplay and magic, Abel is one fearsome enemy on the battlefield. So far, there was not a single soul who had crossed blades against him survived. Versatile and headstrong, he will crush any who stands in the way of his beliefs.

Now a ranking General in Diablos, Abel continues to live up to the reputation he has so easily built over the last decade, a ruthless battlefield perfectionist.
Not much else is known about Abel other than the fact that he was scouted by the leader of Diablos himself.

Background:

Kataleeni, the high-spirited female general among the ranks of Diablos. Second only to Abel in terms of fighting capabilities, It was still no question to her abilities why she was granted the position Second General by the leader of the organization. Underneath that sweet face and golden eyes lies a merciless killer. She enjoys killing and seeing blood far more than she enjoys eating sweets. Truly an opponent not even a select few would dare to face.

Armed with her mastery of healing arts and insane skills with the sword, Kataleeni was the first general of Diablos to draw the blood of the Elder Magi Council members. Rumor goes around the ranks of Diablos that Kataleeni collects the blood of her slain opponents and has them on display in her room as trophies, although it has never been confirmed. Another rumor goes around about Kataleeni having an affair with one of the Generals. She has been seen by others from Diablos entering the quarters of Abel late at night.

Overly friendly with her allies, Kataleeni, despite her murderous other self, is loved and respected by those in Diablos who are of lower rank than general. She has proven her worth and loyalty in combat many times along with the other generals of Diablos. According to the files of Swords of Force, it is certainly wise to retreat if Kataleeni or any other general of Diablos is among their opponents.

Background:

The third and eldest general of Diablos, Joaquim Vorg was the man responsible for the death of Lysander Jager. Due to his failure to accomplish his task that time, Joaquim suffered a heavy blow to his pride as a general. Losing the respect of many Diablos Magi Warriors, Joaquim has vowed to regain his pride through many more battles that lie ahead of him.

Among all the Magi Warriors of Diablos, Joaquim was the sole being who had mastered ranged combat. He converted his Astral Weapon Sapphire into a bow and sword at the same time thus giving him unrivaled versatility and adaptability in the field of battle.

Though he is a hot blood in the field, Joaquim Vorg is the type who rarely loses himself to the heat of battle. Always capable of making calm judgments, he is certainly an opponent that will not go down without a fight. Highly experienced in many combat situations, his survivability even against overwhelming odds is simply astounding.

During one operation of Diablos, Joaquim's unit was ambushed and were severely outnumbered however, as the battle ended, a blood soaked Joaquim was left standing. When his backup unit arrived, they feared for the worst upon laying eyes on Joaquim but was relieved when they heard him say "The blood is not mine." Rumor has it that he killed every single one of those who ambushed his unit with his bare fists. How much of it was true? Nobody knows.

Background:

Granze, Diablos' symbol of sheer strength. His might is something nearly otherworldly. This silent, level-headed man leads Diablos' front line and is charged with the duty of engaging the enemy first. He fights like an uncontrollable wild beast, overpowering any who oppose him. Those who have fought alongside Granze claim that their general could smash anything using Calamity. No sword has been forged mighty enough to withstand the pair of Granze and Calamity. That was what Granze himself believed in too until he crossed swords against Cartigan.

Lilica was once under Granze's control but his defeat against Cartigan put him to shame within Diablos' ranks which nearly cost him his position as General. He asked the leader of Diablos to be given another chance to prove his worth to him and was granted another unit to lead. With his eyes fixed on Lilica and Cartigan, Granze carefully plans his revenge against Lilica and the man who has defeated him once. To him, the lives of all those living in Lilica would not be enough to erase the shame he was put into by Cartigan.

Chapter 1: A Blaze Called "War"


The city of Sevii. A hidden city home to survivors of the first conflict that forever changed the history of Seiiki. This peaceful city housed two very skilled Magi under the tutelage of Reonole Sirius, the last of the Seiiki Magi Council. Euridyce V. Jager, son of the renowned Lysander Jager of the Magi merchants and Khim Saiger, a mysterious youth who stumbled upon Sevii by fate or chance. These young souls will be at the very core of another time of change within their war torn land.

Reonole Sirius, a man seeking to rid Seiiki of the plague that consumed it for a long period of time, Diablos, saw a glimmer of hope within the youths that found their way under his wing. Upon reaching the right age of being able to understand a few things about Seiiki, Reonole began to train the kids with the ways of the Magi. It was only a matter of time before both of them managed to grow into a fine Magi, and gain the legendary power of having a Guardian.

Euridyce V. Jager, after attaining the power of the Guardian demi-goddess of wind, Yvone, sought to join the ranks of a resistance faction named Swords of Force, under the leadership of a man named Cartigan. After learning the truth behind his past from Reonole Sirius, Euridyce vowed to get his revenge no matter the cost.

Khim Saiger, a troubled young lady having attained the powers of her twin Guardians Sang and Sunn, sought Euridyce for peace of mind. With the death of her brother and the insecurity she harbors within herself haunting her, combined with her newly acquired power, Khim finds herself getting closer and closer to her own goal of finding and taking the life of her brother's murderer. But fate played a cruel card on Khim. With her peace of mind leaving constantly for his own personal matters leaving her all by herself, she finds herself slowly torn apart inside. Not wanting to eventually lose herself, Khim forces herself within Euridyce's company only to be dragged into another series of unfortunate events.

Okay, well I had an idea.... (or maybe this is something you may have thought in already) but perhaps the dark organization that threatens Seiiki is pretty much destroying everything in their path strictly to hunt down Euridyce... If the Jager family was so well known, any warring factions would want to go directly to the source, which would bring them right to Euri's and Kihm's home town.

As for our posts in the actual story... what would you like me to do about fixing my mistake?

Ahh you have pre-empted the plot. Remember the tiny detail about Lysander sending Euridyce far away along with a device? What you thought of will lead to that part inevitably. But it would be no fun to reveal more about it now.

As for your mistake, let's treat it as it is. Kimmy was far away from Euri while observing his battle with Yvone. Then as Euri decides to meet with Swords of Force, it is up to you should you choose to follow him now or later on. Whichever you feel comfortable with. Though the battle in Lilica would be too easy that Euri would hardly need to do anything at all. Introductory posts as you may call it for the other NPC's I had in mind.

She'll spend two days in meditation to gain her summoning ability... that would be the perfect time for him to go since he would not be able to get to her and tell her he was leaving... she would have to then try and track him... and discover where he was going.

Fair enough, I have yet to read up on that as I am in the process of working on Elder Magi Reonole's profile. Then comes the Swords of Force leader and some minor members of the dark organization.

I have a name in mind for the organization itself but I would like to hear your thoughts on the matter.

GAHH! My brain is fried! Whew! I never thought that coming up with the profiles for the npc's would be so tedious. Nonetheless, I have them up and surely you will easily find them here. Let me know what you think of them.

Anyway, about the dark organization, I went ahead and used the name I had in mind for it. Let me know if you have better suggestions okay? I've also been meaning to put up info regarding Key Locations in Seiiki but maybe that will be a task for tomorrow.

I'm not sure if I had made some things clear with the profiles that I had made but if you have any questions, feel free to ask away. The NPC's are still incomplete and there are possibly two or three more characters needed to keep the story rolling.

Though I like Diablos, I was thinking yesterday about a name that would be opposing to Seiiki, but I didn't mention it due to being exhausted around midnight my time. It doesn't matter to me either way, my focus is usually on characters and their personalities and relationships

I assume you have scrounged your way reading their profiles then? Well, if you did that, good for both of us. Now we won't find ourselves asking "who the hell is this guy/girl popping out like a shroom in the story?" Anyways, I'm glad you liked my hard work. LOL

You have quite an interesting focus I must say. Is it too much of me to ask you to expand your focus even more? Obviously our story will not be simply revolving on those aspects and would require an open mind to truly enjoy what is happening in the world.

I am sorry if I sound demanding, but this is how I usually get when I RP seiously.

Okay, here's what I originally conceived... Khim is very set in her ways, she wishes to avenge her brother's death, and most likely Diablos would be the one responsible since they're the ones involved with the raids.... she does not know this part of it... so there's an open end for her to come to the realization that these are individuals are just as linked to her brother's death as they were for Euri's father's death....

Without Euri she seems to get very lost in anger which is why Fire is her element, it fuels her drives her, she can be hard-headed but also very passionate emotionally and in her fighting... that's what makes her dangerous. When she realizes that he's not showing up... it will be that driving force that compels her to find out where he is and she will insist that she joins this resistance with him.

You'll have to excuse my writing style, I usually write without developing much beforehand and allow the story to come on its own as if I was meeting real people, I don't like to set them up perfectly because we as human beings experience things without knowing what comes next every single day. My characters are usually an extension of myself in some small way rather than a puppet I control. What would you like me to be seeing that I'm not satisfying for you so I can help.... I'm always up for suggestions.

Now that you have explained it, I understand. No more worries then. Let's carry on and tell a good story. As a tip though, it always helps if you develop a few things -if not a lot- about your characters early on so that your RP partner wouldn't be left in the shadows not knowing how to place his/her character around yours.
