Anime Weekend Atlanta is a totally awesome convention that happens in September every year. It's in about 2 weeks, 18-20. I was curious if any of you guys were going. Maybe we could have a FOG meetup! Promote the site as well, because a lot of the cosplayers I know are also roleplayers.

Ooh, fun!! Atlanta's pretty far for me, and it'd be going on during my finals week this quarter. D: It's pretty sudden too! I definitely wouldn't be able to make it. Maybe if it were in Chicago, I might just be able to go. Still, it'd be great if we have any members from Georgia or nearby that would be up for going. ^^

Living dangerously close to this, I would love to go. Not too big of an anime fan, but I don't hate it and I'm sure I'd enjoy being there with friends.

Well, it's fun to meet new people. And have an excuse to dress up as your favorite character or just come to take pictures!

Maybe we should keep a running list of ren faires and RPG/Anime/Soforth conventions in various areas as good meet places.

Though, traditionally, I've done meetups at concert events for punk bands and that sort of thing. Or clubbing. But that's because DC's close by and the club scene is pretty good.
