Re: The Complaints Thread >:(
I'm putting my response to Inerio in a spoiler because she put her complaint in a spoiler, so I guess my response could also be considered "heavy."
- Spoiler:
- Inerio, it's not your fault. Miscarriages aren't the fault of the woman. My grandmother had five miscarriages before she had her only child- my mother- and she actually blames my grandfather for it. They would go on vacation where she would get pregnant, and when they returned home, he would be such an asshole that the stress he made her feel would cause her to miscarry.
My mom also had two miscarriages- one when she was sixteen and the other when she was twenty-five. They weren't her fault. They just happen. Sometimes a woman's body just isn't ready to have a baby or another baby. I think it was meant to be that you shouldn't have had that baby. I know it's hard to think of it right now, but I think it will be a lot better if you have a baby from someone you love or at least through something consensual. It may also be doubly for you to have a baby when you're older and better able to care for it.
This debate is still up in the air, but the babies of rapists could end up having that same something wrong in their brains that causes them to be rapists. Then again, it may not happen. However, whenever you looked at that baby, are you sure you wouldn't have only been reminded of what happened and grow to resent the child?

Ahh, my Photobucket account ran out of space! I've been using it for so long, so many years, that it just seemed like it'd never run out. Well, I'm not paying to get more space, so I just created a new Photobucket account. That kind of sucks. I always pictured showing our child someday when they're older all my old pictures on Photobucket. I don't know why... I guess I'm weird and think too far ahead like that. xD
Re: The Complaints Thread >:(
You can still do that, Fate. You'll just have to show them a few different accounts-worth. ^^_^^

Just in case, I'd at least back-up the pictures. One never knows when the service goes down or they simply delete your old accounts. x_x
Take a CD, burn all pictures, put in box, put box under bed, forget about it.
And once you find it again, you'll have a good laugh

Re: The Complaints Thread >:(
It would be absolutely horrible if they deleted old accounts. I host most of the pictures for FOG too on that account. I'd probably cry, so yes, burning them to a CD (or a DVD even) sounds wise. I'll probably need to do that whenever I have time. I'm sure that'll take awhile, going through and saving all the images in my albums and transferring them over to the CD.
Re: The Complaints Thread >:(
I complain that I went to bed at 11:30pm, fell asleep after midnight, and awakened a little before 3:30am. I then proceeded to toss and to turn until 4am when I decide to finish a chapter in my book. Then I tossed and turned for another hour and a half before finally getting a small amount of sleep before my alarm clock went off at 7am.
I'm running on very little sleep, and I think it's either because my insomnia meds are beginning to work less, I woke up too late yesterday, or a combination of both. Hopefully tonight I'll be able to get more than three and a half hours of sleep.

Oh, Kathryn, I hate nights like that. That's horrible. I'm sorry about your insomnia. I hope your body isn't just getting used to your meds.

I complain that I JUST received an email saying that my move-in time for band camp has been changed from noon to three p.m.
I live, like, eight hours from my college, unlike practically everyone else who goes there. We kinda sorta based our entire schedule around the original move in time.
I just emailed the band director. Hopefully, I can still move in as originally planned, considering how leadership will already have been there since Friday.

Re: The Complaints Thread >:(
Sunni, without my meds, that's my life, period. My meds have enabled me to get a good night's sleep most nights for over two years now. The crappy thing is that my doctor and I had to play a game of "Find the one that works!" so one third of my shelf is covered in pill bottles that are filled with pills that either didn't work, only worked for one week to one month, or made everything I ate or drank taste like pennies. I only keep them because they're fun for pictures sometimes. ^^_^^ My cat also likes to play with them because they rattle.
Anyway, if my meds are really at fault, then I'm sure he'll have to up the dosage, but I'll request he only up it to 250mg rather than to 300mg the way we tried once before to test to see if it would help take care of my bipolar issues. It worked, but that was because I slept for a day and a half, so I had no opportunity for a drastic mood swing. However, if my body is actually getting used to it, then maybe 300mg won't attack me the way it did last time. =3
I'll see how I sleep tonight which hopefully will be better since I'm lacking a good night's rest. The real test will come tomorrow night.

Ugh. I, too, have large problems getting to sleep. For a long time, I was used to taking one to two hours to start sleeping, sometimes even longer. Also, the sleep was very light.
I found something that would help it a lot, though, when I joined the army. They gave us earplugs for shooting exercises, but I put them in at nights, and damn did I sleep well :O
I mean, it took only like, half as long or less to start sleeping, and I'd feel way more refreshed afterwards because I had better sleep. I'm still sleeping with earplugs now, it feels like only with these I can enjoy sleeping like anyone else does >_>

I don't know if I could handle having something stuffed into my ears... Likewise, I couldn't handle something covering my face...
I slept pretty well last night. It took me a little while to get to sleep, but I slept until 8am when my grandma woke me up, half an hour before my alarm clock, and I couldn't get back to sleep. I wish she would just trust me to set my alarm. Losing half an hour of sleep really sucked, and now I have a headache for it.

I hate it when people complain about not being listened to when all I want to do is have them explain themselves, yet they keep ignoring me every chance they get. I complain that I need to post this complaint here because you keep running away from every other form of contact.
I lol at you because it's just proving every point I've ever had about you more and more.

Re: The Complaints Thread >:(
Since we were talking about sleep, here's my complaint.
I sleeptalk AND have mild sleepwalking episodes.
This morning I asked my friend/roommate if I said "bullsh*t" to her because I vaguely remember that happening, but I didn't know if it was a dream or not. She corrected me and said that it was actually "boredom," that I yelled and she assumed that it was because of the radio she was playing. She told me that I was also humming along to a song that was playing and I TOTALLY don't remember that at all. This isn't the first time something like this has happened.
Then the sleepwalking... My mom (waaaaaaaaaaay longs agos) told me that I wondered into her room one night and was wondering "where Tony Hawk went" (I had bought Tony Hawk Pro Skater at this time). Then just a couple of months ago I woke up one morning to find an open jar of peanut butter lying on my night stand when it should have been in the refridgerator. Lately, it's just been me getting up, sitting there and dazing out, then flopping back into bed (according to witnesses).
It's not something that bothers me too much, but I'm afraid it might make me say/do something majorly stupid.

Re: The Complaints Thread >:(
XD Sleepwalkers are classic comedy. Still, yes, the fear of saying or doing something incredibly embarrassing does put a bad spin on the whole thing.
On another note: you put your peanut butter in the refrigerator?
My complaint? Hard to phrase it properly. It's not really an all-encompassing hatred of the world this time. I suppose it's just my misanthropic tendencies acting up again. Kind of like... I feel like I can't get along with anyone. It's not like I outwardly try not to get along with them, but I have a very dislike-able personality. On the other hand, I don't mind my personality, since I tend to conceitedly believe that people only dislike me because I'm overly logical and tend to be right about most things...
So, I'm not sure if it's most accurate to say that I hate myself, and am therefore complaining about my own personality, or that I dislike people who tend to dislike me, simply because I feel that they're wrong and I'm right, and am therefore complaining about their personality.
... Strange.

Re: The Complaints Thread >:(
Omg Ookami that's so sweet.
I don't want to upset you, but I really think that sleepwalking and sleeptalking are so funny. I wish I knew someone who did that. I know some people who sleep talk, and since I take ages to start sleeping, I can 'tune in' to their sleep-radio for a while. Love it.
My only concern is that when sleepwalking, it might actually be dangerous. I've heard of people who sit down onto open windowsills in great heights or who would start walking around outside. I wonder how they do that, are your eyes open when you do it, so you actually subconsciously see everything or is it simply random?
PS: Weiss, want to come to the therapist together with me? :S

Re: The Complaints Thread >:(
Yeah, my roommate(s) find it hilarious. But I'm used to people finding things I do unintentionally funny/cute. [siiiighs]
Weiss: Yep. In my mind, it helps it last longer. I doubt it actually does, but meh... I ate it anyways.
I would say it's subconscious. The one my mom told me of... Well, even if we DID live in an apartment, my mom's room and my room were on the opposite side of the "house." That's a door to go through, a hallway to turn (in the right direction), a couch to avoid, a wall to avoid, and another door to go through. If I did stumble over something and didn't wake up for it, then DAMN I'm a hard sleeper.
Another sleepwalking example of it being subconscious is when I went aaaaall the way down to the couch to sleep. Doesn't make much sense since I was already sleeping and my dad totally didn't believe that I didn't remember doing that at all. But, yeah. The obstacle: Go down my bunk bed (accident number one), go out the door, turn the right way down the hallway, go down the stairs (accident number two), make a u-turn down another hall, find the right room, avoid stumbling over the couch, FIND THE BLANKET, and lay down and go to bed.
The only other way I could have gotten down there in my sleep was if someone carried me, but Brandon (my youngest brother, who was 12 at the time) was the only one there and there would be no way in hell that could have happened.
Another example of it being subconscious has nothing to do with sleepwalking. You know those dreams when you are totally aware of your surrondings, but can't do anything. When you're kinda awake, but still dreaming. That's my other example. Plus they're never good things. ):

Re: The Complaints Thread >:(
I discovered that my grandmother sleep-talks when she and I stayed in the same hotel room a few weeks ago. I was jarred out of sleep by some sort of strange muttering and was like "what? what?!" I didn't hear anything else... but she did it again as I was falling back asleep, and then again the next night shortly after she went to bed, while I was still awake. Unfortunately she said nothing coherent.
Apparently, though, she and my aunt used to have 'sleep conversations'. XD My mom says she's done the same with my dad... And my roommate last semester said I moaned and mumbled in my sleep. I kindly informed her that I didn't believe her, especially since every time she heard it, she was the only one in the room, and I thought she was just trying to make me embarrassed. >.>
(I complain of a mild headache that won't go away.)

Re: The Complaints Thread >:(
Ah. I totally know how the sleep-talking is. I mumble and such in my sleep, but sometimes I'm coherent. My older brother was the same way. When I was with my first serious boyfriend, he said that I woke him up in the middle of the night because I said something along the lines of, "The strange-faced man tried to give me tea." and he told me he said in reply, "You shouldn't accept tea from strange people." And I said, "I know." and that was the end of it.
There was also another incident, but I can't remember what he told me I said.
Also, my friend's little sister used to sleep-walk all the time. When we were all little, Lindsay ((the little sister)) walked the entire block from her bedroom to her grandmother's house. Thankfully, they live in the country, so there wasn't traffic or any houses between the two points. It was just strange, but yeah. There is a definite danger-factor to such things.
Also, peanut butter can go rancid if it's opened and left out of the frig for too long.
Also, I had a dream like that not long ago. I think I talked about it somewhere else on this board- probably the thread I made about dreams. I dreamed I was wearing a heavy outfit like those suits they wear in Halo, and it was so heavy I couldn't move, but I sort of woke up, and I still couldn't move even though I could hear my grandma calling my name.
I complain that my shoulder muscles are sore for no plausible reason.

Oh, I had an incident on the phone with my boyfriend.
We were the kind of couple that liked to call eachother and talk about nothing. Well, I decided it was a good idea to let my phone sit between my head and the pillow and close my eyes. The next thing I knew it he was yelling at me to wake up!
"You said 'No, I don't want to dance with you."
"What?"
"That's what I said."
"Why would I say that?"
"How the f*ck should I know?! xD"
