Yeah. I know. However, you then have people like me who are shocked to find that they're still liked after what assholes they are.

I complain that when my grandma took our newly bought, used car into town today, the alternator went out. This wouldn't be so bad, but the fact that the car we used before that has something wrong with it that makes it impossible to drive is my real complaint. I was unable to go to work today because of this, and I will be unable to go to work tomorrow because we don't get the better car back from the shop until tomorrow afternoon. My paycheck is going to be shit.

On top of that, it's really bad because you can't work. I'm sorry. I just hope everything goes smoothly and they can fix it up right.

Band camp is killing me slowly. >.< Everything hurts, no matter what I do (which is probably good, since it means I'm using muscles properly...).

But more important... I cannot stand my section leader. I didn't like them last year, and I like them even less now that they're actually in charge. Grr. Everyone in the section has agreed that they'd like to punch the leader in the face. Or something equally satisfying.

Ok, so I HAVE to vent or I'm just going to implode.

So me and my husband have been living in Virginia (like not even 20 minutes from the beach) for near on a month now, and he refuses to take me to the beach! I love the beach and he hates being outdoors. So my roomate (we live with a friend of mine and her husband because both my husband and hers will be leaving for a tour with the Navy at the same time) and her hubby are going today and I really want to go.

Well my husband flat out told me that I'm not going because I'm going to watch that stupid Halloween movie with him instead. And he didn't even say it nice, he said it matter of factly, smugly, like I had no choice. And it's infuriating.

I mean what am I supposed to do! I never get to do what I want. Always what he wants. Like when it comes down to it, I always have to do what he wants when he wants but when it comes to what I want it doesn't matter.

Grr. I'm frustrated!!! >_<

If you stay, he will do it again. If you put your foot down, perhaps fight back with him, maybe it won't. I grew up watching the wonderful, violent dynamic between my mother and her boyfriend. I'm not saying your relationship is anything close to violent, of course. I just know that if you let men get away with such things, they will do it again and again. And it will get worse.

The good news is that DC is getting better at what they do, so not all hope is lost. Also, I'm going to hold onto some sliver of hope that the minions of Walt Disney won't fuck up the MU. God...it still makes me cringe, though....

Are you serious?? Why would Disney want Marvel though? So... Does that mean that no Marvel comic book hero movies are going to be R rated? I was going to throw out Sin City for an example, but that's Dark Horse.

Well... technically... Marvel screws up its own universe by retconning stuff all the time... All comic books do it. "Well... I think I want so-and-so to be alive again, so I'm going to make some crappy excuse that makes no sense to bring them back to life for the next issue of such-and-such comic."

Isn't it obvious why Disney would want Marvel? Marvel is a successful comic book company, and Disney wants the money.

I'm complaining that no one seems to have to work today but me. And I hate my job. And working in general. Especially customer service. Okay, listen to this.

I'm stocking bread, because I work at a grocery store, and a woman calls to me from across the aisle. As I'm in the process of turning toward her, she says "over here!" as if I'm not moving fast enough. She walks toward me and asks: "Where is your play-do?"
I look at her like....what?" So I say: "What?"
She says: "Play-do.... you know, the kid stuff?"
"Oh, I don't think we carry that here."
Then the lady looks at me like I'm the one who's stupid. She gets frustrated and says: "Oh, man! I came all the way out here just for Play-do! You don't have it?"

Okay...time out. You came all the way to an Albertsons, a grocery store, for Play-do!?!?! Did you even bother checking first to see if we might actually have it?

I tell her to check aisle 8, which is where most of our toys and stuff are, though I explain that I don't think it will be there. She isn't happy, and she isn't leaving, so I offer to talk to my manager. Maybe he knows. If not, I can ditch her once he's talking to her. She happily agrees and follows on my heels.

I ask my manager, who shakes his head no, and the lady gives the same response.

"But I came all the way out here for Play-do! What am I going to do!"

And I ditch her. Sucks for my manager. Such enjoyable people I get to deal with all day. Ain't the customer service industry grand?

Wow, and that lady is ridiculous! Why wouldn't she just try to a toy store, like Toys R Us or something if she wanted play-do? I really would never have thought to even look at a grocery store for that stuff. xD Then she wouldn't even go check the isle for herself? It's like, she had to blame you for the store not carrying play-do! LOL, oh, wow... *shakes head* Yeah, I imagine costumer service would be very...demanding!
