I complain that my boss didn't call today, and that if she doesn't call tomorrow, my mom is absolutely insisting that I call her and 'have a talk'.

I understand (a little bit, at least), even if my parents continuously griped about it, that she didn't schedule me all last week because of my potential jury duty (which is ANOTHER complaint! They kept telling me, day after day, to 'call back tomorrow', and they kept getting closer and closer to my number, and then they stopped taking people less than a hundred numbers before I would have been called...). I didn't like how it was decided that I wouldn't work (I called her Monday night, and she was like "oh, well... I just won't schedule you this week. Let me know how things turn out"), but then not only did she not call me for this weekend, she didn't even call at all, despite me calling her (and getting her son, who said he'd pass the message on that I wanted to talk to her).

And now she didn't call today, which either means a) she'll call tomorrow morning for me to come in, or b) she won't call at all. Which would be absolutely unfair, since, as I said, I didn't work all last week because of her decision.

But yeah, if she doesn't call tomorrow, I have to call her instead. And when I do, not only will I be asking if I'm working at all, I'll also be asking her if she has a problem with me, because seriously, there's no excuse for not calling me at all.

Sounds like she a horrible business person. If I was you, I would get a different, more reliable job.

But that's just it; there aren't many jobs around here for me to even try for. ;-; I applied for a bunch of other places before finding this job, and didn't get any of them.

Next year, however, I'll be trying even harder. And if I'm offered this job again, it'll be as a last resort, no matter how much I like it.

I complain that I woke up at 4am, being sick, restless, not able to sleep. I rolled around in bed so much that at one point, I hit my head against the wall pretty hard. Didn't happen to me before, either...
Also, still being at work despite being sick. Meh.

around here, you get paid even if you're sick.

If you overdo it, though, your employer will throw you out, because you're not "cut out" for the job, then. Wink

I just took a painkiller. Blew me away. Wasn't that stoned since the last alcohol-rich party...

Everything spins... and I fear getting out of my chair. o.O

Seriously, I even took the lesser one of the two I had as an option. What the fuck.

Being dehydrated, having eaten nothing but some yoghurt, having slept too little, being sick AND taking painkillers seems to be a bad combination.

I'm so stressed out! I've been waiting forever for my orders! I was supposed to get them a week ago, and here I am, one-day graduate and orderless. Without my orders I can't out-process (a way to show that I'm officially leaving this base and going to another) and I might not even be able to go home! I already paid for my tickets, which made me broke, and I don't have the money to pay the fee for change of plans or get a new one! And then I don't know what to do with all my stuff. I was hoping to use TMO which can send all my stuff to my next station for free, but it's yet another thing I can't do without my orders. So, I have no clue if I have enough money to send even one box of all my stuff. AND I'll have to sell my TV and buy a new one. This is just all stupid!

I'm complaining that I wasted a couple hours of my life and almost three dollars on a worthless movie. I should have listened to Jonathan when he told me it was going to be stupid.

Stuck late at work because a few files are having trouble being saved as a pdf. Project is due today and all other attempts to fix the error have failed. Helpdesk is most likely gone for the day. FML.

Yes, it's my dad's office, and the only time I use it is when I'm doing some work on the side for him. I clean it because he pays me to, since the woman who does it during the rest of the year is too busy this time around.

I'm not complaining that I get paid for cleaning it. I'm just complaining that he wants me to clean it so often, when the woman who did it before me didn't even do it this much. ):
