dar sati tii nuti cer nimic...
(Forgive me if I over Dragostea Din Tai )
vrei sa pleci dar nu ma nu ma iei
nu ma nu ma iei
nu ma nu ma nu ma iei
chipul tau si dragostea din tai
mi-amintesc de ochii tai...
(I actually typed all that from memory; I THINK I got it all right)
I can sing the lyrics out loud. xD
*song plays over and over in head*

It's catchy! So sue me!
And it's cute.
And Romanian sounds cool.
And dancing on the wing of a plane is just made of win.

*sits in shrinking chair*
(lol, shrinking chair )
And how does being bored make you feel, Ragter?
*listens* *waits*
That's all right, we don't have to talk about it this time if you're uncomfortable.
*scribbles on notepad*
Tell you what; I'll tell you a little story.
One time, I got bored. I was sitting in a chair, listening to... er, wait... let's say I was sitting at a playground waiting to play. Nobody would play so I just sat there.
Do you know how that made me feel, Ragter?
Unwanted. Ignored. Angry.
*glances at Ragter to scout for reactions*
*scribbles on notepad*
Well, I think that's all we have time for today, Ragter.
But come back next time. I want you to think really hard on how boredom makes you feel, and why you feel like that. And then play some video games. All right? Tell me all about how it goes.
*escorts Ragter to the door*
*goes to calculate Ragter's bill*
Wow, I dunno where that came from.
Well I hope it helped some. ^_^
Are you not entertained? Just a little? xD

Re: The Chatterbox Thread
It would be stupid of a business not to hire a man that dedicated to getting a job. Then they can get rid of the idiots that take advantage of having a job in such difficult times. But I agree, that may be worth a try

lol for some reason seeing that picture made me think of Agent Smith from the Matrix out of a job and wandering the streets with a sandwich board.
Re: The Chatterbox Thread
I'm going to try this when I finish the college I am going to, online.
They do have online colleges, right?

Re: The Chatterbox Thread
Yes, they do have online colleges. I hear a lot are cheaper than colleges to which you must attend in person.

Re: The Chatterbox Thread
Actually...
Online colleges are MORE expensive than a traditional college...
I know...
I've looked into all of them so I can go back to school without having to worry about leaving CJ with a babysitter/daycare...
Other than that, I get to go see Playhouse Disney live on Friday.
Woot!

Not many of them will actually get you anywhere either. You have to be careful with which online colleges you choose. Risky business, that.

Re: The Chatterbox Thread
Wow. On the Today Show, they're talking about the average number of partners men and women sleep with. On average, men sleep with 9 partners, and women sleep with 6. Hoda was talking about it and saying to the man she was discussing this with, "How many is too many for you with women? You wouldn't want to date a woman that's slept with 10 other men though, would you?" The man responded by saying, "Nah, 10 is fine, 10 is fine. How many is too many? When they start calling out someone else's name."
This was a little surprising, on some level, since I know people who, back when I learned this about them, were only 16, 17, and 18 that slept with 40 to over 100 people. I didn't believe it at first, but the one guy that slept with over 100 girls I later learned was infamous for it. He even showed me a list of all the girls he's had sex with, and it was a very long one. The person that slept with 40 people though was a girl, and I'm guessing her friend, who I'm also familiar with, also has slept with around that amount. It's just insane. Another guy Tony and I know told me once that he's slept with 80 girls, but after learning more about him and discovering that he lies about everything about him (even his own name and where he was born and his age), I don't believe that now, but I'm sure he's slept with his fare share nonetheless.
I don't think these outrageous numbers of partners are a good thing, but I guess from knowing these people, I expected the average to be higher.

o__o
Thats crazy.
I've only slept with one guy, my husband.
Then again, I didn't even really care for sex until we got together. I hung out with all the right people who could care less if they were getting laid. They cared more about the newest anime that just came rather than their next sexual fix.

Re: The Chatterbox Thread
That's a good thing, Anaris. Lol I think those are the best people to be friends with.
Those people that I knew I met after I graduated. I didn't go to school with them, and my friends from high school never considered sex. After high school though, I gained whole different crowds in all areas of friends (both from community college and from an awesome coffee shop I hung out at a lot that had bands play there and such), so I came across lots of, eh, interesting people haha.
Personally, I've slept with more people than I feel comfortable with now, looking back on my life, but I always say to myself that in this one year time period just after high school, I experienced more in my life than most people do in that short amount of time, and I needed to go through all that to move on and settle down once I met Tony when I was 19.

Re: The Chatterbox Thread
To be completely honest, I wish I had gotten the whole sleeping with more than one person experience. It kinda sucks that I didn't, but thats what happens when you and your boyfriend decide your too lazy to go get condoms that night. >__<

Re: The Chatterbox Thread
*sigh* I wouldn't wish for more than one partner.
It's an intimate bond that you can't take away. Sleeping with multiple people is like partitioning your soul.

Actually, it's a biological assurance of genetic variation to strengthen the DNA of your offspring.

Re: The Chatterbox Thread
I think the numbers are quite subjective, to be completely honest. It comes down to numerous things that have to be calculated in, such as the region the people are from (culture, religion, etc), how they were raised, and even who they associate themselves with. However, the later doesn’t come into play as greatly as many people would like to think because, in the end, it is up to the willpower and desires of the individual. I grew up surrounded by friends who drank, smoked weed, and other people who did several drugs. I don’t drink, have never smoked (though I did take a sip of pot tea once, disgusting stuff by the way), and haven’t ever taken any drug other than Ketamine and that was given to me in the hospital when I was in 3rd grade. I also happened to have an allergic reaction to it, go figure.
Wasn’t like my friends didn’t ask me if I wanted to smoke or anything either. Several of them tried talking me into it, others would ask and then drop it when I turned it down (those are the cool guys, and there are few of them). My experience in high school with all of that is why I find peer pressure to be nothing more than an excuse for most people who actually wanted to indulge in things, or because they didn’t have the strength to stand up for themselves to their ‘friends’.
I understand and respect the view of Kalon and quite honestly agree for the most part. I don’t deny the truth of the biological strength either. For me though, it isn’t so much that I am opposed to having multiple partners but that I’m opposed to sleeping with someone just for the simple pleasure of it. Hell, I won’t even consider dating anyone unless I already have a decent bond of friendship with the person (and can, of course, tolerate them for an extended amount of time).

Re: The Chatterbox Thread
Actually, though I do not agree with Kalon, I myself have become tied to one individual, and will remain that way. So, in a way, I practice his belief, though I don't necessarily think that is the one true way in life. I will always respect another's choice of lifestyle, regardless if I practice it or even agree with it.
That is just my personal take on life
