Re: The Celebration Thread :D
Just spent pretty much the whole evening being somewhat productive. Finished homework and was looking at apartments in downtown Chicago for at the end of the year. Woot!
Re: The Celebration Thread :D
Whoo! Did you find any apartments that you like so far?
I got my laptop today. I'll call about DSL tomorrow.
If everything works out, I'm going to see Misery for a couple of weeks in March then for a long weekend in April. I'll get to see the ocean for the first time ever in April. I'm really excited for time to fly by, so I can see him.

I celebrate one less person being stuck on dial-up.
The ocean is great. Been to it in parts of California, Oregon, and Washington... as well as Ireland.

Well, I'm still stuck on it at the moment, but in due time, I will be free! Bwahahahah!
I've never seen the ocean. Any time I've been to the east or the west coast regions, I've been too far inland to visit the ocean.
Misery is taking me to Oregon in April, so that'll be my first time seeing the ocean and seeing that particular state. ^^_^^

Are you aware that she is averaging 16 posts/day on dial-up?! Once she gets upgraded to modern internet..... she'll beat the interweb.

Wow, did you get a new laptop, Kathryn? That's awesome!
Yay for seeing Misery next month too (hopefully)! *crosses fingers* That's neat that you're finally going to see the ocean also. :]
Yep, I found a few apartments that I like a lot. Thing is, I'm not sure yet if I'm going to be moving in with one other person or with 3 other roommates. However, this place is definitely on the top of my list! I love how modern it is, and all the luxuries (like washer and drier in unit, hardwood floors, fireplace, etc.). It even has heated covered parking, and normally you just park on the street in the city wherever you can find a place. I've parked 6 or 7 blocks away from my friends' apartment before, which always sucks, so having parking (heated at that) would be epic.
Re: The Celebration Thread :D
Yes. I have my laptop. I'm going to try to call the DSL people tomorrow and see if they can install it Friday. If not, I'll get the faster internet next week. ^^_^^ It has Windows 7, so it's going to take some getting used to, but I'll manage.
Well, no matter the number of roomies you may have to have, I hope you all get along well!
That apartment is pretty! Is it roomy enough? With three bedrooms and two bathrooms, it seems like it would be. I hope that you have roommates to share that huge rental bill, though. XD

I celebrate Melancholy's set-up.
I think the avatar ties to the signature much better now that there is a similarly bald head in both. The colours are also more akin than they were in the last one. Good choices!

Actually, now it is finished (decided on a final change of words around the avatar...)
Thanks Kathryn. The avatar is actually the imagine that I originally wanted, the only issue was with finding it since I had no idea what Niklas Sundin had drawn that one for. Turned out it was for Opposite Sides album Soul Mechanics. Just glad that I finally found it!
I celebrate the song that I took the words in my signature from (not the fortune cookie bit). Useless bonus points to the first person to recognize what song it is.

I'm celebrating because even though I didn't have anyone to spend Valentines Day with my mother thought to buy me some chocolates.

OMG! I love those things! Whoever concocted the idea to combine chocolate and hazel nuts was a genius. Have you ever had Nutella? Same concept. It's soooo tasty.

I celebrate Ryona being patient enough to allow me to get all of the achievements for Dead Space. Now I can give my xbox a break.

Yes, I most certainly have! In fact it's probably my favourite spread. Do you know whether it is Nutella in the Ferrero Rocher's? Because it certainly tastes like it. I love them so much.
I celebrate having my dog home after he went missing for almost 3 days. We knew where he was (there was a dog on heat nearby, and when he wasn't at that house he was hiding in the cane) but we were unable to find him until yesterday. He's lost a hell of a lot of weight though and won't eat much. I'm a little worried and a bit annoyed because he keeps whining but still very glad to have him back.

They taste exactly the same. It's possible they use Nutella in the candy, but because they don't say on the candy box, it's impossible to know without further research.
Didn't your dog disappear for a while in the past? He sure loves to make you think bad things have happened to him, doesn't he?
I celebrate not feeling quite as queasy now as I did five seconds ago thanks to a bit of Milanta. Of course, I'm still wary, and I'm still keeping my senses open to the mouth-watering that means I need to rush to the bathroom immediately, but any improvement is a good thing.

Re: The Celebration Thread :D
Yes, he has. >.>
It's because he's found a friend. Her name is Cammie and she's about two years old. She's a large dog too and they go roaming together. We know her owners thankfully, so it's not much of a problem but she came on heat a few days ago and because of that he kept breaking out of his pen whenever we had him locked up.
He ended up disappearing for almost three days. We visited Cammie's owners and he had been around there pretty frequently. Sitting on their veranda, sleeping in their shed... but they would chase him away when they saw him because we asked them to do so.
Eventually we decided we were going to try very hard to bring him home. When we arrived at Cammie's place he wasn't there but we started calling and looking around for him. He ended up sticking his head out of the cane and we managed to coax him out, over and into the car.
He's lost about 7-8 kilograms in the past two weeks because of traveling so much and lack of food when he was missing. He's too preoccupied now to eat because he's too busy trying to get back to her.
-sighs- Hopefully once Cammie's not on heat he'll go back to normal. If not, may the lord have mercy on us all.
I will celebrate the rain we are currently receiving! It's a nice break from the high temperatures we've had lately.

Aww. Cats do the same thing where they'll forgo food in order to procreate. It's kind of interesting in a sense.
I celebrate seeing Appa here when I looked at the top, left corner of the video at 0:09. It made me extremely happy. ^^_^^
Also, I think that Milanta really did the trick.

I hereby celebrate the finishing of my new Caligo Character Profile! Once again I spent hours, striving to reach an acceptable level of quality. This time, it was not in vain. I have finished the creation of a character that will soon make his debut in the world of Caligo.
A past fraught with misfortune.
A grave mistake in judgment.
A misunderstanding.
A forgotten life.
Dais Aquinas has been born again.
I also celebrate Microsoft Word and Opera, both of which helped ensure that I would not lose all of my hard work this time around.
I just had a new idea for a topic, so I'll celebrate that, too.

I celebrate being able to use my DailyBooth. I'm going to try to update it every day, and if I can't update it daily, I'll at least try to take one picture each day to ensure that I'll be able to post it the next day.
It'll help me get back into my creative photography side. I sort of ditched it for other things like FoG... I miss being a camera whore.

That's awesome, Weiss! I look forward to reading it if I ever work up the nerve. It'll probably inspire me to make mine, and I can't deal with that right now!
And to stay on topeek....
(yay for thinking of things to celebrate!)
I celebrate by leather-bound bottle cannon pen-holder!!
We've had it forever, and I've recently uncovered it and have put it to use. It's an awesome little... thingy...! xD I'll have to take a photo sometime to share. I wonder how old it is....

I celebrate having a conversation with a girl I haven't seen in three years and trading numbers so we can hang out sometime...
Oh, and she said: 'I soo want to see your hair straightened!'
So she is going to straighten my hair sometime.

I'm celebrating my upcoming vacation to Europe! Friends and I will be backpacking from London to Ireland. (Yes... we're aware that there is a certain stretch of water to worry about ) The trip will be happening at the first two weeks of June.
I'm also celebrating the end of June, where I will be returning to work in Alaska after my vacation just as I did last year. I've missed that place!
Also my return to the site. >.> Since life took me away for a little while.
Huzzah.
