The healing powers of music, even if it simply puts you into a trance to forget things.

Ahh, no matter how down I get about the weather and its affects (runny nose, dry, cracked skin, shivering, dusting off cars, etc.), Owl City - the band - always makes me feel so much better. Adam Young makes some of the most amazing music I've ever heard, and it's so uplifting and tropic-ish. :] I just need to remind myself that this is the very last freezing winter I will have to endure, and a year from now, Tony and I will be living in Arizona. *le sigh*
Re: The Celebration Thread :D
Thermo final was rough, probably got in the 55% range, which is a C according to the class curve. Coulda gone better, but I'm glad it's over with. Now to prepare for Surveying final and take one more step towards Winter Break.

Wait... Fate, have you lived through an Arizona summer? I think it was worse than the Boston winter I spent with my grandfather, and Dad's side. I am glad to be out of this room for a while. Also, I am excited that it is almost Christmas, and I still have no idea what to get them for gifts. Stalking the giant malls in Denver ftw...

2 Things to be Happy For:
1) : In two and a half days, my boyfriend will be flying in to stay two and a half weeks with me- so we can be together for our winter breaks.
2) : I totally finished all my finals :3

I celebrate the fact that I started running again today! It felt so good...even if it was a requirement for a class. I felt like throwing up at the 1.5 mile point, and it took me 15 minutes to run it, but that isn't too bad I guess. I had to walk about another .5 miles before I could run the rest of the way home. Maybe next time I will do better.

I celebrate the start of me getting my real life back on track. You see, outside of the interwebz, I'm not this cool, calm, collected and generally awesome guy that you guys see me as....
No one? Really? Well, I thought it was funny.
Anyways, I'm starting to get a handle on my credit card debt and I'm really getting serious about getting my happy ass back into college. Now it's just time to start thinking about what I want to do with my life. I'm actually teetering back and forth between switching my major to marketing and to get a business degree or to get my major in anthropology at ETSU and then try to transfer to UT to get into their forensic anthropology department for my graduate studies.....

Congrats Gunneh, sometimes (seldom) I envy you people who know what you want to do with your lives, who can actually find something that wouldn’t become absolutely disgusted with after two-five years…
I celebrate good, no great, lyrics.
And peole say Death Metal is just about murder, blah blah blah... hah!
I celebrate good, no great, lyrics.
- Spoiler:
- Drawn to Black by Insomnium:
Wreathed in silence, laid down in shades
Swathed in regrets, deluded astray
Forgotten in half-light, drawn in despair
Soothed in slumber so dreadful and fair
Rending and searing and twisting my dreams
Alone in the gloom with the nightmares unseen
The night has a thousand eyes,
And the day but one;
Yet the light of the bright world dies
With the dying sun
The mind has a thousand eyes,
And the heart but one:
Yet the light of a whole life dies
When love is done
Worthless the pledges, all vows but lies
Fateful her kisses, where a serpent hides
First beckoned to step from the twilight to glare
Then left in the dark for the demons to share
Only the stars see, only the moon hears...
And quietly the water-lilies sigh
Like the last breath of a weary soul
And the weed sway in the dreary waters
Like a girl's dark hair they wave about
And the black stones under my bare feet
Cold and smooth like her milk-white palm
And the silence which falls upon this shore
Resounds now louder than oncoming storm
For all is gone
(Chorus is taken from Francis William Bourdillon's poem The Night Has a Thousand Eyes.)
And peole say Death Metal is just about murder, blah blah blah... hah!

Last year, when you turned sixteen, did you have a sweet sixteen party? I know I didn't, but I still had fun. What are your plans for your birthday tomorrow?

Re: The Celebration Thread :D
I did, and I didn't. Not a really big party, but I did go out with a few of my close friends to celebrate. I'm not usually one for large celebrations. If only because I feel too responsible for how things go, so I'd spend the entire time worrying about whether everyone was having fun, instead of enjoying myself, haha.
This year my brother and his girlfriend are spending the day with me, and tomorrow night my family, my best friend and I are going out to a restaurant for a nice meal to celebrate properly. I am looking forward to it.
At the moment though I'm waiting for my brother and his gf to arrive. I decided to wait until they are here before I open my presents. It's more fun with everyone.
And finally, I'll celebrate the obvious - my 17th Birthday!

I celebrate having applied for college today. It's just community college, but it's a good start for someone who's been out of school for two years.
