My grandmother and I had a discussion about babies last night. We discussed why kitties are cuter than babies, and she disagreed with me that babies aren't all that cute. I just don't have that motherly nature. Hopefully, I'll never need it. ^^_^^;;

Not all babies are cute, just like not all adults are cute. Most newly born animals (including humans) aren't 'cute.' They usually don't have much hair and have lots of excess skin and body fat.

All animals look rather gross immediately after birth, but after a week or so, babies are still unappealing while kittens, bunnies, and puppies become so adorable it hurts not to go "Awwww." at them.
